Rating: Summary: Waste of Time - Trite Message: "Believe in Yourself" Review: There's nothing in this book that isn't already in a bazillion other books. I listened to the audio book, and over 2 hours later, the only significant message to be peeled from the slow-moving, over-dramatized story was simply : set goals for yourself, and believe in your ability to achieve them. That's got to be the most common advice in every self-help, wealth-building, and children's book out there. Sure, it's good advice, but do we need yet another book to tell us that? There was absolutely no tangible, ready-to-apply financial advice in the book. In the end, the old millionaire simply gives the young, struggling, wealth-seeking man $25,000 to start his own endeavor. So it would seem that the way to become an "instant millionaire" is to simply ask an existing millionaire for money. If you really want to become a millionaire, don't expect this book to help.
Rating: Summary: The best book on the subject Review: This book is excellent. It really teaches you how to improve your financial life and your life in general. It is the best book on the subject of positive thinking and pursuing your goals in life. You feel completely identified with the young man in the story. The questions he asks and his doubts are your questions and your doubts. Although it teaches essential theories it is a very practical book; it is a personal experience with the lessons it teaches. I highly recommend it if you want to really improve your financial life following the master's lessons.
Rating: Summary: A fable that will double your income Review: This book is outstanding. If you're looking for "the secrets of wealth", you'll find this book to be exactly what you're looking for. I think it's obvious that these secrets exist: if all the money in the U.S. were evenly distributed to every person, you would find that, in six months, we'd again have an upper, middle and lower-class....and they'd probably be the same people that occupy those "classes" now. Why? Quite simply because wealthy people know something that the average person doesn't know. They know the secrets of wealth. And that's what you'll find in this book. Some of my fellow reviewers said this book was "too simple" or lacked "strategies". On the contrary, this book, unlike so many others of the same vein, actually gives practical steps on how to achieve the income of your desires. Naturally, you will need to fill in the own details about the business that you find yourself working in; but the principles are the same and they are laid out here very clearly. Too simple? I don't think so. The principles of success are actually quite simple. If there is a difficult part, it's changing your life-long habits of scarcity into new habits of wealth consciousness. Also, it should be noted that the book is in a fable format which is much more readable than the text of some of the older, more "classic" texts, such as "Think and Grow Rich". I'm not saying anything against the classic books, only that this modern interpretation gives much of the same information. I would recommend anyone who loves "The Instant Millionaire" to immediately get a copy of Think and Grow Rich if they haven't read it. Incidentally, I read Think and Grow Rich and The Instant Millionaire during the same two-week period. To test the principles, I set a financial goal. Within 90 days, I was self-employed and within 6 months I'd doubled my income. It works.
Rating: Summary: Buy this Book Review: This book is very well written, easy to read, and packed with practical information. Anyone who is interested in self improvement should read this. I plan to give this book to several of my friends.
Rating: Summary: Don't just listen to it once!! Review: This book reveals success in life in it's simpliest formula and how to utilize the extraordinary power of prosperity to give freedom to others that truly search for the truth.
Rating: Summary: Amazing. Everyone should read this book! Review: This book should be given to every American child to read. Told as a fable, this charming story teaches young and old a like how to go after their dreams and achieve wealth. If you love Napolean Hill's Think and Grow Rich or George S. Clason's The Richest Man in Babylon you will love this book.
Rating: Summary: This is a story about how to become what you want to be. Review: This book showed me that if you set goals and really try you can always achieve your goals. I read this book last summer and liked it so much that I did a book report on it. I am in the sixth grade and I am going to give this book to my teachers for a Christmas present because no matter how old you are you can learn from this story. I learned about the power of words and the value of self-image. You should always set your goals high and think of yourself as successful.
Rating: Summary: Great boost of inspiration for anyone. Review: This book tells a story of a young man that doubts his own esteem and learns many new things throughout his journey to financial independence. I would recommend this book to anyone that has gone through life encountering some discouraging times. Once you start, I promise, you will finish it before you put it down.
Rating: Summary: Fundamental reading for a financially successfull mind Review: This is a book that opened my mind to simple but important theories about making money. This is a fun tale which gives the type of insights that one would learn directly from a rich uncle, and I know, I have a rich uncle. This is a book to have on your re-reading list with books such as "Think & Grow Rich" and "The Book Of Five Rings"
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: This is a great book with a lot of wisdom that can be applied to many aspects of one's life. All of the lessons are written in practical approaches that make it easy to understand and comprehend.
