Rating: Summary: Eternal Summer Review: 399 pages of a pure escape. Summer Sisters by Judy Bloom is book that every young women should experience. It will take you to the times in your life that you want to relive, to the places where friendship is life, and summer is eternal. This fast reading book gives you advice, makes you cry and of course makes you smile. I finished it in two days, and it proved to me that free reading books are more than the Shakespeare plays I never understood in high school. Reading was always a chore, however, Judy Bloom makes it an exciting adventure. Every young women's dreams, aspirations and confusions are held in the hands of the " summer sisters."ΓΏ
Rating: Summary: wacky, sexy, mysterious Summer Sisters Review: it was good and i liked the way it resembled a soap opera. I also liked the intimate parts.
Rating: Summary: Beautifully-woven tapestry of friendship Review: An absolute enchanting tale of the encounters of two "summer sisters". Entwines all the elements of a bestseller. It depicts clearly the events, ranging from hilarious to disappointing, which can happen in the characters' life. Guaranteed to bring tears and laughter during the read.
Rating: Summary: This Book is a Teen's Dream Review: This book I've read over and over I just can't get enough. This story is one in a million. In this book friendship is key. There Are two friends who would do anything for each other. If you liked the movie " Beaches " you'll just love this book.
Rating: Summary: This book is EXCELLENT! Review: Judy Blume is my favorite author, and once again, she has not let me down. This is by FAR my favorite book. I got lost in it over the summer and read it in 3 days. She captures the characters' emotions and the scenery so beautifully that I was disappointed when I reached the end because I wanted there to be more. If you haven't already, trust me when I tell you to READ THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: Delivered Only Half the Goods Review: I admit, I knew this book wasn't going to be anything more than dramatic, trashy good fun. But it surprised me twice, by beginning with intelligence and faltering several times. There were quite a few incidents of bubble-headed soap opera antics, but there also seemed to be an unfair portrait painted of the 'stronger' woman, Caitlin. Not every rich girl turns into a flake. I'm not the writer, so I won't worry about it. Just the next predictable novel with a poor little rich girl ought to have her not deflate. Having read Judy Blume most of my life, I thought she could do better. It wasn't as messy as it could have been, and not as touching as it should have been.
Rating: Summary: The Newest American Classic Review: Judy Blume outdid herself with this novel. It really tells the real story of two girls growing up. The only thing that disappointed me was the use of profanity.
Rating: Summary: A beatifully written novel Review: This book makes me want to read it time and time again. I have 3 words: Read this book.
Rating: Summary: Summers Sisters...A Marvelous Read! Review: I truly enjoyed the novel by Judy Blume who was a treasured author in my youth. She is a gifted writer who makes capivated what summers on the vineyard and sisterhood is all about! I enjoyed the book tremendously and I love JUDY BLUME! Thanks for the memories!
Rating: Summary: A touching story of childhood friendship. Review: A well written, lovely, story which follows 2 young girls from early adolescence to their 30's. I found the images of the yearly summer visits to the vinevard very nostalgic and warm. I found much in the book to which i can relate as I am 14
