Summary: A interesting look at alternative political actions
Review: The author assured me while autographing the book that if a person enjoyed novels on politics and the accompanying intrigue that I would find this one to rate right up there with Clancy. I thought this to be awful confident for a literary unknown, but after finishing it by staying up until the wee hours of the morning I found this unknown to be right and am patiently waiting for the next novel. The story itself is entirely plausible considering the current political situation in this country

The scary part is that it shows how such things could easily be accomplished. Change names, a few titles here and there to match todays politics to the story line and there you have it, Term Limits. Is this Alternative History ? A novel and author people can learn from.

Review: At a time when so many of us are disenchanted with out "leaders", this book is a very timely reminder that the alternative can be much much worse.

Summary: Nice first effort; needs to improve dialogue
Review: Very interesting idea for a plot. The last 100 pages were full of action. However, Flynn needs to work on his dialogue. It was stilted in many instances. There was a lot of repetition in the first 300 pages. Characters seemed to say and do the same things over and over. It was a nice first effort, but work is needed to step up to the level of a Tom Clancy.

Review: ...a political thriller that gives the reader an idea of 'inside the beltway' thinking and workings. Vince Flynn has captured the essence of corrupt politics and I can hardly wait for his next book!

Review: Mr. Flynn has come up with one of the most original story lines and political "solutions" in many a generation, one which most of his readers will find compelling. However, his writing skills need to be improved to take it to the next level.

Review: Mr. Flynn's first novel is sure to be a hit . An exciting combination of action and suspense. The author's view of the Washington political scene, where perception and spin are more important than reality, is right on the mark. The best book I have read this year.

Review: A great book for those who love a political thriller. The book immediately gets you hooked and then keeps you interested throughout. It doesn't have the constant surprises that other novels have, but keeps you on the edge with many sub plots occurring. Fast reading, enjoyable, couldn't put it down.

Review: I enjoyed the mixture of politics and tense murder/mystery plot. I am aquainted with politics and enjoyed the realistic portrayal of power. I am not as well versed in the military or intelligence aspects, but found them to be well written and with great details.

Review: Vince Flynn has the ability to take the best of Tom Clancy's military writing and apply it to the current political scene in Washington, as well as tie in to the political angst in this country. I couldn't put it down. I finished the book in three sittings!

Review: This book is a page turner. A great story about one man's mission to avenge his military unit while at the same time attempting to correct the national government. Vinve Flynn is a gifted story teller and I can't wait for his next book.
