Summary: Absolute - lack of - power
Review: This book's plot revs into high gear when a person who has just performed a B&E for pay witnesses a murder and has to go on the lam from high level government powers who want to kill him to cover up their crime. If you think this sounds like Baldacci's first big hit, Absolute Power, you are absolutely right. When writers start having to recycle their own old plots you can rest assured that there is little of interest left for a reader. If you have not read Absolute Power, then this book might work for you. Everything is somewhat predictable but most of us like a certain level of confirmed expectation in thrillers. But if you want anything fresh or original, this book is not for you.

Summary: A VERY GOOD BOOK
Review: This was a very good book, and one that you start and finish before you know it. For certain a five star! And if you want to read another book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever

Summary: Author Review
Review: I haven't read this title yet, but I've read all of his other titles and they all all excellent! Very detailed, kind of a combination of Grisham, Ludlum and Stephen Frey. I very much enjoy his work and look forward to reading this one. One of the best new Authors of this decade, and looks to have the horsepower to carry it into the next.

Summary: Buy the book, not the audio
Review: The story is interesting right from page one. Intrigue, double dealing and numerous plot twists. As an avid audio book fan, however, I found that the narrator ruined the story and I had to abandon it to read the book. The audio reader's voice is so scarcastic that it was uncomfortable to listen to.

Summary: A very good read!
Review: Mr. Baldacci continues to produce novels that are enjoyable, somewhat educational, but nevertheless entertaining. I have read all five of his novels and would rate this just behind Absolute Power & The Winner. Keep 'em comming David!

Summary: It takes "Faith" to finish this book
Review: David Baldacci's latest is one big disappointment. I have read all the others, but this one isn't even close to being in their league. The plot is thin, the characters are not very believeable and the result is contrived. I hope the next one finds him returning to a better work, but I will check it out before I just buy it on his up 'til now well deserved reputation.

Summary: Another Baldacci great read
Review: Complete with inside the beltway powermongers, hidden agendas, and a lot of dangerous dudes, and hired guns, Faith Lockhart, about to spill the beans to the feebs, finds she is, instead the target of an assasin's bullet. From then on, folks, hang out to your hats. It builds with all the speed of a Canadian logger roaring down I-89 during rush hour.

Baldacci accomplishes this in a book that can actually be finished in a couple of sittings and is guaranteed not to put you to sleep.

Summary: Fabulous
Review: I've read all of his books and this was absolutely one of the best. Couldn't put it down, great characters, lots of suspence and a little sex. A must read!

Summary: This one a disappointment
Review: I have purchased all of Baldacci's hard covered books and enjoyed them. "Saving Faith" is his first let down and disappointment. The plot became muddled and it was an effort to finish it. I will think twice before I invest in his next hard covered book.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: What a waste
Review: All I can say is the plot is week, Baldacci has started to go formula writing and not very well. Very, very disappointing
