Summary: Not every writer can be Robety Ludlum
Review: Vince Flynn's first book, Transfer of Power, was so exhilarating I had to force myself to put the book down at two or three o'clock in the morning, so I could go to work the next day. Term Limits put me to sleep before it was time. Separation of Power did the same thing. What happen?

From the beginning, and through almost three-quarters of the book, you have to read the biography of every character, or get the size, dimension, color of every room, building, car, or a description of every scrap of land. I do not consider this worthwhile reading if you have to turn eight to ten pages (or more) at a time to get to the story line. It did not get exciting - the thriller part - until the last fifty pages.

Not every writer is of the quality of Robert Ludlum, but Vince Flynn certainly had the potential with Transfer of Power. I hope he will regain that unique quality, and I can look forward to his next book.

Summary: A good book for traveling.....
Review: You will get so caught up in the adventure you will not even know that your plane is delayed AGAIN !
My husband and I both read this book and it was very, very good. We do agree with the others who have said if you haven't read the other two, you might want to start there. Not much is lost if you choose not to, but we think you will enjoy them more in sequence. Can't wait for the next book, even if the hero is different. We like Flynn's style!

Summary: This one really rocks!
Review: Vince Flynn knows how to write a realistic action novel that will keep you up at night. I read this book on a very long plane trip and the time really flew. I have read all of Flynn's books and he is as good as they get with this genre. You can read this book without having read his other novels but if you read this one I guarantee you will go out and purchase his previous books.

Summary: Flynn does it again
Review: For anyone who has read any of his previous 3 books, you will find most of the same familiar characters, engaged in similar activities. It is worthwhile to begin with an earlier novel by Flynn and work your way into this one to enjoy it fully, as it is along the lines of a series even though each one stands somewhat on its own. This is the last in a series of 3 or 4 and is probably more enjoyable for someone who has read the others first.

Summary: seperation of power
Review: This is Vinces' 4th book. I have to force myself not to race through his books and this one was no different. He sets a pace that you can see coming together to a conclusion, but takes enough twists and turns to keep you guessing how he's going to get there. Mitch Rapp - first introduced in Transfer of power - is a great character and the kind of man you hope is operating, out there, for the USA right now. Vince also has a keen insight to the operations of the CIA, FBI, Secret Service, Politicians, at al and how they relate to each other. I haven't enjoyed a series of books this much since I read RULES OF PREY and the rest of that series. Keep them coming Vince.

Summary: John Wayne meets Jack Ryan
Review: Vince Flynn will definitely be around a long time. This was a page turner. Although, I thought the Mitch Rapp character seemed to get out of everything without a scratch, and had way too much power and control of every situation, even over the President. Which was hard to comprehend. But, overall, an enjoyable read. And, I'm looking forward to more novels.

Summary: An Excellent Continuation of a Fine Series......
Review: Vince Flynn's fourth political thriller continues with the same characters introduced in his second book, Transfer of Power, and one or two from his thrilling debut, Term Limits. Like in the previous two novels, the Iron Man, Mitch Rapp, is back to destroy the enemies of the United States and find out who attempted to kill him in book three, The Third Option. Separation of Power is a cut above its predecessor due to a number of intriguing subplots concerning Rapp's attempt to catch his attempted murderer; the confirmation battle of Dr. Irene Kennedy to helm the CIA; who wants to kill Rapp's former lover/secret agent; Rapp's relationship with Anna Rielly; and a few more that Flynn puts in to keep the pot boiling. Despite the fact that this novel is part of a series (and most novels like these lose some character development in the process), Flynn has written yet another superb political/military thriller. If he can avoid writing thousand page behemoths like Tom Clancy, Flynn will no doubt be King of the Technothriller. I am eagerly awaiting his fifth pageturner.

Summary: Perfect read for today
Review: Call this man Kreskin and hope he's wrong! After 9/11, this book offers (albeit fictional) insights into our country and it's current skirmish with Afghanistan. There is just enough of both sides of the coin that makes that tense situation a little easier to understand. The suspense and intrigue are top notch and it's a page turner that will keep you going until the last page.

Summary: Absolutely Awesome !!
Review: If you read The Third Option, you have to read Separation of Power to get the rest of the story. All of the characters you loved and hated are back for more intrigue. I think the author does a really good job developing the characters so that you feel like you know them as well as you know your own friends, or enemies. The hopeless romantic in me thoroughly enjoys the relationship between Mitch and Anna, but there's also more than enough action to get the adrenaline pumping for the adventurer in me. It's also nice to see female characters who are strong but are also feminine. I absolutely cannot wait for Vince Flynn's next book (please keep Mitch and Anna in your next book!) - he has a fan in Alabama!!

Summary: I'd give this 10 stars if I could!
Review: Vince Flynn just gets better and better.

I can't wait for the next book! To appreciate this book as much as posible it is best to have read Transfer of Power and The Third Choice which very nicely keep us up to date with the major characters in the story.

I have even gone back and bought Term Limits which was his first book. I don't know if it is essential to go there, but this effort has been criticized by some and I am enough of a fan of the author and an aspiring writer that I would like to see for myself how the first one went.

Enough of that. This book is so good that I realy just want to say that and hope it will be enough to interest you to buy it. Nah! All the good people and some of the bad from earlier books ae moving forward with their lives. Mitch Rapp, who is certainly a very important part of Transfer of Power only continues to grow in importance as the books unfold and in this book he is at his zentih. I continue to pray that we have a Mitch Rapp in the employ of the CIA. We all should, but I suspect that the last eight to ten years have cost us dearly in that regard.

Suffice it to say that Flynn lays out all of the trip wires that are there in this day and age and very deftly manuvers around them. If you are into red, white and blue these days, you will love this book. If you are one who has reservations about what we are doing in response to 9/11, you will find instruction in this novel. If you are sitting in Bagdahd, working on weapons of mass destruction, you will pray this is just a figment of the authors imagination. In any event, this book is so worth reading that I can not recommend it enough.
