Rating: Summary: The best Pitt novel yet. Review: Cussler has out done himself with this masterpiece. He keeps you turning the pages of this book, anxiously awaiting the next sequence of adventure; yet, saddened that such an adventure will have to end. Cussler's clever way of introducting himself into this story was entertaining. I have all of Cussler's work and this is my favorite. I have turned many people onto his work by loaning out my battered copy of SAHARA. Hoping for a new one for Christmas.
Rating: Summary: I love this book, especially the ending! Couldnt' put it down Review: I thought the book was great. It kept you in suspense the whole way. Its amazing how Clive Cussler can hold someone's attention for such along time!
Rating: Summary: Getting through the book Sahara is like crossing a desert. Review: I love this book! It is adventurous, and I feel that it kept me interested throughout the story. It is fun to read, especially when it starts to get violent! My dad recommended it to me, I am happy he did. Like I described earlier, this book can get pretty violent. I don't like the technical scientifics that the author gets into. And it can be EXTREMELY boring at some parts. I feel that Mr. Cussler could have cut it short by leaving out all the scientific stuff. Yes, I suppose I'd reccomend it. It is very interesting if you like science fiction.
Rating: Summary: A high-octane, well-written thriller. Review: This book was a well written high adventure novel. What could one expect from such a litertary master, like Clive Cussler, however? The book is full of plot twists and turns, which keeps the reader enthused. I look forward to future novels written by Mr. Cussler.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Cussler's book Review: Cussler makes the reader to be expecting during the hole book, if you are a Dirk Pitt fan you will enjoy the book a lot, if not you will enjoy it too.
Rating: Summary: an absolute must!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This is probably my favorite book now and I have read alot of books. If you like action this book is for u. The ending is incredible. Read it now.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: I just went by my usual policy on choosing books; I picked it up off the shelf without even looking at it and checked it out. This is the first Cussler I've read and I can say it won't be the last. I was never bored when reading the story and even though the plot may be a bit far-fetched, it gave me the eyes of Pitt, Hopper, and Roja as the danger increased. I strongly encourage anybody who's looking for lots of entertaining reading to pick this one up...
Rating: Summary: This is a great book. Maybe a little far-fetched, but great Review: An exellent book to read if you're in the mood for a lot of action.
Rating: Summary: Don't bother.... Review: The most amazing thing about this book is that I was able to slog through the whole thing. It took a lot of perseverance but I made it. I have been a loyal Cussler reader ever since picking up "Raise the Titanic!". Although none of his books have lived up to that standard, I have for the most part found them at least moderately enjoyable. I can only conclude that Mr. Cussler has tired of Dirk Pitt and realized the best way to kill him off is with this muddled mish-mash of convaluted nonsense he presents in the form of a novel. I know this reader is finnished with him. Let me make this clear...this is a HORRIBLE book. Not just a horrible book, but without a doubt the worst piece of trash I have ever read. I would not have given it one star if I had a choice.
Rating: Summary: Sahara is far and away Clive Cusslers' best book. Review: Now, don't get me wrong; all of CC's books are great; all four stars or better. Sahara, however, contains two of the best Cussler/Pitt scenes in his books: on the river(battle and confinement) and defending the fort(battle and Giordino train conductor). My personsal favorite Dirk book.
