Rating: Summary: Do Tha Damn Thing, Zane Review: What I liked most about this book was the story line for each person in the book. You knew it was about sex, but it was not consumed with sex. It had you from start to finish.
Rating: Summary: boring Review: This is book is so fictional. If you read one Zane book you have read them all. When you first start reading her books. they are good, but then as you read more and more it starts to get old. But hey how many different ways can you talk about sex. This book had a lot of good points but them it starts to get stupid. If you are reading a Zane book for the first time, them you might be like ... she is of the hook, but if your like me and have read many don't wast you time. She will not be getting any more of my business if she writes the same lines in every book except with different characters
Rating: Summary: 1 of th BEST BLACK BOOKS EVERRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK. ZANE IS A WONDERFUL AUTHOR.I WAS TRULY INSPIRED BY THE WAY SHE CAPTURED THE FAMILY BOND, BETWEEN THE SISTERS.
Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: Overall, the book was a pretty good read. For the fact that she kept me laughing, is enough to make me read more of her books. This book reminded me a lot of Soul Food the movie, without all that wonderful cooking.
Rating: Summary: Fun, Family, Fabulous Review: Shame on it all was a fabulous read for me. (Although, Addicted is still my favorite.) This book had Zane's sexual writing style with a mix of family ties and relationships. There are countless laughs in the book. The Whitfield sisters were how a real family should be. Zane will take you inside each sister's life of drama, sex, problems, love, and revenge. It is a good book. Read it for yourself. I liked the way the book ended.
Rating: Summary: Shame on the Author..... Review: although comical in nature, i did not enjoy the book as i was told by friends that i would. but, then Zane's writing has always left me wondering....i would tell anyone that Zane's other works 'Addicted' and 'Heatseekers' are more indicative of the author's true creativity. 'Shame' made me think of a poorly written 'Bronze Thrills' byline! i was glad when i got to the end! explicit sex scenes do not create a page-turning novel!...
Rating: Summary: Zane does it again Review: Shame on it all is a story of three sisters that go through their sibling rivalry but when they really need each are there for each other. Zane is by far one of the best authors I have read. She knows how to take a story and run with it. This book has serious drama in the name of illness, marriage problems and revenge. But through it all these sisters stick by each other as well as their friends. It reminded me of my friends that are close to me now and only a phone call away.
Rating: Summary: Writing a Little Shameful Review: While I enjoyed reading this book, I could not highly recommend it to anyone. A co-worker stated that she felt this book was better than Addicted. Boy was she wrong. This book was a bit slow. It also had what I found to be situations that weren't real. If you want a good read, Ok you'll get through it. But don't expect too much. You may find a better movie on BET.
Rating: Summary: For "SHAME"! Review: SHAME ON IT ALL focuses on the Whitfield sisters; Harmony, the oldest, is dealing with issues surrounding her abrupt breakup with her boyfriend, Zachary. The middle girl, Bryce, is slightly kinky and attracted to a man that she positively hates. Lucinda, aka Lucky, has a one-night stand with the dean at the college she attends. What should have been forbidden turns frighting when she is caught up in a cycle that only he can release her from, but will he? Included are two entertaining back-up female players. Harmony's best friend, Fatima, is seeking a divorce from her cheating husband by asking Harmony for a very unusual request, and Collette, Bryce's number one gal pal, who only want men who will take care of her and are socially out of her reach. The men in this book aren't just window decoration. They have purpose and personalities, and they compliment the ladies in a way that make them stronger. This novel runs on a different track than ADDICTED, but is just as entertaining.
Rating: Summary: average with over the top antics Review: Ok perhaps I shouldn't have read "Addicted" prior to reading "Shame On It All", but this book was off the wall. And I don't mean that in a good way. The personality of the main character in Addicted seemed like it was the same for one of the charcters (the middle sister)in this book. It was much of the same "kick your a** attitude cause I'm it and I can do that" personality in this one. But what made Shame bad was the over the top antics with the commercial breaks; the midgets; and that unbelieveable kidnap stunt with the college dean (who did deserve it actually). While I must admit that I do in fact enjoy Zane's writing style, this book did little to contribute to her growth as a writer of contemporary fiction.
