Rating: Summary: You have got to be kidding! Review: A pyschopathic killer with gills? This was just a little hard to swallow. And he's lived on the ocean floor - two miles deep - for fifty years but only needed a few shrimp to survive? Until, miracle of miracles, his coffin is accidently discovered - in the middle of the ocean - Then he decides to really start feeding? WOW! I have more realisitic nightmares about goblins chasing me as I fly from tree-top to tree-top. The really unbelievable part is I paid $6.99 for this - after having already read it a few years ago under the title White Shark. I Hate when that happens!
Rating: Summary: A Classic Benchley Adrenaline Rush Review: Also published as "White Shark" Peter Benchley's Creature is a book to devour in a single sitting. It's fast and furious and delightfully horrifying . The kind of yarn that gets you looking over your shoulder the next time you're scuba-diving. An absolute must for Benchley fans.
Rating: Summary: Still shocks me and grabs my attention. But not as gripping Review: as Jaws and white shark! A nail biter nonetheless! Great characters are still to find in this great book! Benchley is a a great writer!

Rating: Summary: Better Than The Movie Review: As with most books, it's much better than the movie,(which was totaly different of course). Also much better than Mr. Benchley's early work, he has realized by now that a book doesn't have to have explicit sex and language in order to be a good read. Like BEAST, CREATURE is by far one of Mr. Benchley's best. Don't expect to put it down.
Rating: Summary: Certainly worth your time Review: Creature is a bizarre story, plain and simple. Still, it's a very entertaining story. Of course, the creature itself is very unlikely, but that's typical of science fiction. (I notice that some people who reviewed this book criticized it for it's lack of probability, but then again, no fictitious book is innocent of that charge). Anyway, if you can overlook that and suspend your belief as you read, you'll find this to be a very enjoyable book.
Rating: Summary: Deserves every star it gets, and then some. Review: creature is by far the best book i have ever read. It is a thrlling beyond the far stretch of the imagination. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. If anybody finds the movie E-MAIL ME!It would be extremely helpful.

Rating: Summary: The Creature is an edge of your seat book. Review: Creature is what I think Peter Benchley's greatst book. I'd buy it if I wer you. Especially if you want a good description of blood and gore. If you gave this to your girlfriend she'd probally dump you so don't give it to her.
Rating: Summary: I think Creature is the best horror novel I have ever read. Review: Creature was so gripping that I devoured (read) it in 4 days. It kept me on the edge of my seat and i couldn`t put it down. Horrer novels and movies never scare me but I actually thought twice before going in the water again. If you love a good scare now and then,I would pick up a copy of this book and devour it before it devours you! I can`t wait to read White shark. Can you?
