Review: While still catering to our love of his thrillers, David Morrell has expanded his repertoire to embrace our love of well-researched, plausible explanations of things mystical and sacred. Combining mystery and suspense, as he does so well, he leads us through political and spiritual realms, encompassing the breadth of modern intrigues and the history of the Christian rites, all the way back to early pagan rituals -- when blood on the altar wasn't just a symbol. Morrell has always been able to make our pulses race; now he leaves us questioning our earliest learning and faith in those who are our leaders... An excellent read
