Rating: Summary: Good Suspense Review: Hold on to your seats because you will be taken for a ride in this read, Sugar and Spice. I got this book and a novel called Lust Of The Flesh by Beverly Rolyat, at B&N booksignings to review for my bookclub as possible suggestions. However, I am not a lover of suspense-type books. I can say that Sugar and Spice is a 3-1/2 stars and I would recommend it to those who like this type of book. I am giving it to another member of our bookclub to review because she loves suspense/murder mystery novels and she will be a better representative to explain Mr. Johnson's book because I couldn't do it enough justice. Perhaps at our next meeting she can convince the members to include it in our summer read.

It is a great murder mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I think your book would make a great movie. I would love to see in picture and outside of the book. Keith, thanks for traveling to Nashville to sit in on our discussion with Fade 2 Black African American Book Club, about Sugar & Spice. You provided a lot of insight to the book. We are waiting patiently on Pretenses (due out June 2004). We really enjoyed having you in Nashville. Our discussion was the BOMB!!!

Rating: Summary: A wonderful read Review: Sugar and Spice by Keith Lee Johnson was an excellant read. The twists and turns were enough to keep me glued to the sofa reading the book until the very end...in one sitting! It's a welcome relief to alot of the books out there, engaging the reader in a whodunit that you wouldn't believe. I recommend this book wholeheartedly.
Rating: Summary: REVENGE is so sweet when it is served¿.. Review: In Keith Lee Johnson's, Sugar & Spice, beautiful and savvy FBI agent Phoenix Perry teams up with Agent Kelly McPherson and Assistant Director Kortney Malone in search of killer(s) who have gone on murdering sprees. The victims are being savagely raped, beaten and dismembered. The murders span from the District of Columbia to Malibu with the release of the Connelly Twins, Alex and Sam. They are hell bent on getting even with everyone who has betrayed them. Agent Perry after reviewing the pictures of the crime scene in Malibu has a hunch that the possibility of there being more than one killer is great. Will Agent Perry's search lead her into harms way? In Lee's suspenseful page-turner, you get a glimpse into the twisted minds of the psychotic that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Move over Stephen King and James Patterson. Another gifted suspense writer is on the scene and his name is Keith Lee Johnson. This book is highly recommended if you thrive on the whodunit style of writing. I can't wait to see how Mr. Johnson will serve it up in his upcoming release, Pretense. I anxiously await its release later this year. Readincolor Reviewers Vanessa A. Johnson
