Summary: Good, but not what I was waiting a year to read.
Review: I have enjoyed the four previous books in the series of the McKenzie family. I couldn't wait to read this, having read the others numerous times. However, I was left unfulfilled by "Glory". It was nice to read more about the family, but it just didn't have the "feel" of the previous books.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: NOT AS GOOD AS THE OTHERS
Review: I HAVE READ ALL FIVE BOOKS IN THE MCKENZIE SERIES. GLORY WAS THE SLOWEST MOVING. RHIANNON AND JULIAN'S STORY COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF THEY WEREN'T ALWAYS AFRAID TO TELL EACH OTHER THE TRUTH. I KNOW THAT'S WHAT SELLS BOOKS, BUT COME ON,THEY SLEEP TOGETHER THE FIRST NIGHT AND IT GOES DOWNHILL FROM THERE? CAPTIVE AND SURRENDER WERE MUCH BETTER BOOKS.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great but it needs a sequel
Review: I have read all of the McKenzie stories and have really loved them. Glory was excellent but it ended too soon. WHat happens to all the McKenzies?? I know there was supposed to be only 5 books to the series, but who lives, who dies- how does the story end at the end of the war? what about Brent and Tia?? What about the girl Sam who was in love with Julien and promised to end up in Florida? THere are many stories left to be told in this saga and I only hope that Ms. Graham intends on continuing the saga.

Summary: A wonderful read!
Review: I have read all previous books to the McKenzie family saga and have been totally captivated by each story. So, it is with great enthusiasm that I found, "GLORY," to be equally, if not, better than Ms. Graham's pervious books to this series. Ms. Graham delivers an extraordinary romance novel with a compelling depiction of the civil war era. It's as though she places her characters, including a beautiful romantic tale, in the middle of a civil war history book. While, "GLORY" was wonderfully written, I do not see how it is a fitting conclusion to this family saga. I felt Ms.Graham's readers are left with too many loose ends for "GLORY" to be a concluding book. I hope to see a continuation to this wonderful family series in which readers will be sated regarding the other McKenzie characters: Bent, Sydney and Tia.

Summary: Hope there is more
Review: I have read all the McKenzie series and found this book a bit disappoiting. The story started off well, but she included stories of other family members that went nowhere. I hope there is one more book that goes into detail about Brent, Sydney and Jennifer. Overall I had expected more from this book.

Summary: The overall plot in Glory meandered around pointlessly
Review: I have read the entire McKenzie series and was rather disappointed with the latest edition. The plot meandered around pointlessly and with the exception of the main characters was never concluded. Poor Jesse and Sidney, who have now meandered through two books, have yet to find the happiness that is foreshadowed. This book shoves Brett and his love interest onto the now familiar path and all a reader can do is muddle through the page fillers until they find the real plot. Unfortunately, a disorderly plot is not Graham's only problem. The characterization of Julian McKenzie was odd, to say the least. Julian has been depicted as having a "quiet strength" and is a generally decent guy in the previous books. Yet, Glory depicted him as a jerk. He was downright nasty to the woman he was supposed to love and I am mystified as to how she still fell in love after all that mistreatment. I know Graham is capable of much more than what was shown in Glory. I hope her next book proves what I already know to be true.

Summary: IT IS FANTASTIC
Review: I love all of Heather Graham's books. The Florida Series is absolutely fantastic. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Keep up the great work, Heather!!! Your friend from Canada Peggy Cooper

Summary: not as good as the others
Review: i read every single book in the mackenzie family series and i didn't think that this one was as good as the others. i thought both rebel and surrender were great. and that runaway and captive were just fine, but glory didn't live up to the other books. i hope that heather graham comes out with another book in the series so i can see how the rest of the family fares during the war. and i hope that that book is much better that this one was.

Summary: Sad to see this terrific series end.
Review: I've read each book in the MacKenzie series and loved them all. The story of Rhiannon & Julian is unique and beautiful. Rhiannon is wonderfully human and her struggles to overcome the grief over the loss of her husband & her subsequent dependence on opium are sure to touch the heart. I can only imagine the research that must have gone into this novel, as well as the rest of the books in the series, and think Heather Graham has done an amazing job of bringing the Civil War and the feelings of both sides to life. I would love to see another installment about Brent, as suggested by another reviewer.
