Rating: Summary: A fitting conclusion to this wonderful series Review: Life is not easy for widow Rhiannon Tremaine or for that matter most Floridians during the Civil War. In a state that voted to secede, Rhiannon staunchly believes in the Union. Her spouse fought for the Federal cause. Rhiannon suffers from the gift of the sight and observed her husband die, hearing his last words being his love for her. Opium is now her companion as she tries to wipe away the memories anyway she can. Confederate Doctor Julian McKenzie eradicates Rhiannon's numbness when he invades her home. He forces her to use her healing skills on one of his men. Julian kidnaps her, weans her off opium, forces her to aid one of his kin, and finally allows her to go North to serve as a nurse in the Union army. When Rhiannon foresees Julian's future, she treacherously tricks him into meeting her in order to save his life. Her act ties the duo even closer together as they fight their own private war. Everyone who has read a Heather Graham Civil War novel knows they are in for a delightful reading experience. GLORY is no exception as the author's myriad of readers reunite with characters from previous tales in this series. The battling protagonists are a passionate couple while the backdrop of the war adds depth as the audience sees and feels the horrors and its' aftermath. GLORY is another triumph for Ms. Graham. Rating: Summary: It was a captivating, emotion-driven book. Review: The book introduces two different characters engulfed in the battles of the Civil War. One consider as a witch. Another as a savior. Them together saves solders, themselves and each other. The McKenzie Clan is re-indroduce in this heart gripping book, with tales of all the McKenzie cousins separated through the trouble era of the American Civil War. Write another sequel about Brent!!!
Rating: Summary: Hope there is more Review: The book was well written the story of Julian and Rhiannon was exciting. I felt a little disappointed when nothing more was mentioned about Brent and Mary also Sydney and Jesse. I hope there will be another story written esp. about Brent.
Rating: Summary: Compelling as well as historically correct Review: This is Heather Graham's long-awaited fifth in her series about her native Florida in the early to mid 1800's and how she has intertwined her usual historical fastidiousness with a terrific story about the MacKenzie family. It was especially interesting to me as I live in Florida and I am a Civil War buff. She ties up loose ends well with several of the McKenzies, albeit a bit too "quickly." A terrific tie-in to Florida would have been (and may yet be if she decides on a sixth novel) would be the Battle of Olustee, the only major battle of the Civil War fought in Florida, which took place in February 1864. In closing, beginning with her usual not-yet-lovers' antagonism (a-la And One Wore Gray) and ending in the manner in which it did end, one would think and most certainly look forward to a continuation of the McKenzie family series.
Rating: Summary: Oh, yeah, THIS IS A GOOD BOOK! Review: This is the fifth book in a soon-to-be six book series. The entire series is too-good-to-put-down-right-now good. As with the other books Ms. Graham has written, "Glory" is infused with humor and drama. I couldn't help but admire Rhiannon and Julian for their loyalties to their beliefs. Ms. Graham insists in reminding her readers that the Civil War was fought from two sides. She takes great care, particularly in this series, to show the "other" or Rebel side of the war. She also does something I never seen other authors do: she reminds readers that even though Florida did not have battles like Gettysburg, it was deeply embroiled in the war and as torn by it as states such as Virginia. I look forward to reading her next book "Triumph" set to be released in January, which I'm sure will be about the fourth cousin, Brent. You really must read all five books, and in order if possible: Runaway (Jarrett and Tara), Captive (James, Jarrett's brother, and Teela), Rebel (Ian, Jarrett's eldest, and Alaina), Surrender (Jerome, James' eldest son, and Risa) and Glory (Julian, Ian's brother, and Rhiannon).

Rating: Summary: "Glory" is splendid!! Review: This time, the doctor and the psychic meet. "Glory" is Julian McKenzie's story. Julian is Ian's brother, Jerome's cousin, James' nephew, and Jarrett's son. Oh hhh, the McKenzie men are fine!! "Glory" is about Julian and the woman he falls in love with, Rhiannon Tremaine. There story is delightful and romantic. Julian certainly equals the standard of the McKenzies.
