Rating: Summary: OKAY BOOK Review: THIS WAS AN OKAY BOOK BU TI THINK IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THE AUTHOR DIDNT REALLY ADRESS THE INCEST ISSUE AND THE BOOKS STORYLINE IS VERY MISLEADING. I HATED THE WAY THE MOTHER CHARACTER WAS PORTRAYED AND HOW SHE DIDNT ADRESS THE INCEST ISSUES TO MUCH. THE ONLY REASON I FINISHESD THE BOOK WAS BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END WHICH WAS A BIT OF NOTHING I WOULD BORROW FROM A FRIEND OR BUY THIS BOOK USED.
Rating: Summary: Author of "BrainChild: Visions of a Blind Poet" Review: Touchy Subjects Handled WellI picked up a copy of "I'm Telling" in a local bookstore as a gift for my wife. We both enjoy reading. She is an avid fan of novels, and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that Ms. Miller had signed it. I read the storyline, and it intrigued me. I ended up reading the book myself. Incest, drugs, and family drama, are topics that many people don't want to talk about, much less write about (some of these issues are TOO close to home for some of us). Ms. Miller handled it very well, and did a great job in holding my attention throughout. My teen-aged daughter, and my elementary school aged nieces saw me reading it in my office, looked at the cover, and said, "Uncle D, are you reading a girl book?" I told them "There's no such thing as a girl or boy book, as long as it's good reading." I am going to pick up a copy of Ms. Miller's first book, "Satin Doll", for my wife...and lock my office door.
