Rating: Summary: Desperate Housewives Review: This characters in this book - especially Lizbet, who may just be related to Bree from the show "Desperate Housewives" - were a hoot. I thought this book gave a really good look behind the scenes in a suburb (like Wisteria Lane) that seems ideal, but of course, isn't.
Rating: Summary: Spend a day in the life... Review: This is a light, fun read that I think will appeal mostly to women. I felt like this could have been my book club meeting. Although I love to read and discuss a lot of different kinds of books, my friends and I are much more interested in the social aspects of our book club. (I guess we could use someone like Lizbet to whip us into shape!) I did like the setting, which I thought was very well described, and I also enjoyed some of the more creative touches I haven't seen in other novels of this kind - the funny quotes and unusual e-mail addresses. Fun escape.
Rating: Summary: Bronxville Book Club Review: What a great read! The characters are wonderful, the style is very witty, the format is brilliant. You will "recognize" friends in each of the book club members. I can hardly wait until next month's meeting. Read it, give it to your friends, have a great laugh.
