Summary: A novel of war between the sexes
Review: Set in Chicago in a post-9/11 world, Resume is a novel of war between the sexes, and the bonds of friendship that are reinforced struggling with social demands or even bucking social conventions. A female group of fast-drinking, guerrilla-shopping spree girls calling themselves "LP Trixies" and macho-party-guys the "Chads" are in fierce competition with one another, with hearts as much a weapon as any other manipulative tool. Looking for love in all the wrong places amid a land full of people ranging from questionable to wacky, their struggle to survive and thrive, possibly at one another's expense, makes for eyebrow-raising reading.
