Rating: Summary: Beautifully Written!!!!!!!!!!! Review: An emotionally driven and heartwrenching story by Francis Ray, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" is sure to be a winner in the fiction genre. This extremely touching novel opens with the introduction of Madison, the daughter of honest and hardworking blue collar parents. Madison has fallen in love with Wes, the son of parents who are of wealth. Madison and Wes' love has led them to marriage while both are pursuing careers in television and media. Madison has landed her own TV show, "The Madison Reed Show" and Wes is head "anchor" for CNN. The couple is well known in the TV/Media world as the "perfect couple"........ successful and in love. However, as fate would have it, the couple has suffered a devastating loss and their marriage has slowly dwindled down to something much less than love and bliss. Wes refuses to let go of the marriage for the sake of their careers, while Madison has come to terms with their failed marriage. Suddenly, yet another devastating tragedy strikes the Reed couple and the end results challenges one's strength and ability to move on. Filled with so much compassion...........this story draws you in from the first page as your heart skips a beat for one of the most thought provoking stories I've read about in a long while. I implore you to treat yourself (and your friends) to a skillfully crafted novel that's sure to take your breath away!
Rating: Summary: A good book Review: As usual, Ms.Ray doesn't disappoint her readers with her latest novel, but the question is put out there. What would you do if you were in Madison's position? Personally, I would have done it. I am in a situation where my ex moved on and had kids, and despite the fact that I am not crazy about him, I would raise the child if push came to shove and pray hard too. You see, that child is an innocent by product of the deed, and though it hurt Madison to have your dead husband's child looking at you day in and out is a trip, yet with love it really doesn't matter. I also wonder why ol'boy didn't come forth with the discovery and his own secret as well. It would have saved a lot of grief. Other than that, I liked it. It makes you think.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!! Review: Fantastic Book - I thoroughly enjoyed this story line. I usually shy away from "romance" novelist because I can not stand that famous romance line, "Her bosom heaved". I love Ms. Ray's style and flair with a pen. Once again, my hat goes off to her. Normally a book of this sort would have a lot of baby mama & daddy dramas, well my fellow book lovers, don't look for that in this novel. Due to the fact that the baby's mama and daddy both die. Now don't get me wrong, there is a lot of drama going on, just not the usual type. Madison is quite the woman because I don't know if I would be able to do what she did, but I guess that old saying is true. "Time heals all wounds", it is not the healing of the wounds that I worry about it is the size of the scars that scare me.
Rating: Summary: A great story! Review: Frances Ray has done it again. Her latest is a tale about the "real" story behind public personas. It's an emotionally charged story about a woman, a man, and a baby. Sorrow, laughter, joy, renewal, and tomorrow.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing plot but good character development Review: Francis Ray did a good job with the character development in this novel. It was easy to connect with them and the positioning of them was good. However, this book significantly lacked a developed plot. The story line was just to simple and predictable. After reading the summary on the book jacket, there was nothing more offered in the way of a story line. It's like when you see previews for a movie but when you actually see the movie you realize that the best part of the movie was the actual previews and nothing filled the gaps in between them. This is a fair comparison to how this book read from the jacket. The plot did nothing to stimulate me at all and the 2 secrets that Zachary had was so easily predictable but the author dragged it out to the very end of the book as if to present a surprise bombshell. The pace of the book was most annoying, it was slow and inched on a snail's pace. The narration was also distracting. The narration was intrusive and didn't allow the characters to interact without interference of unneeded introspection & over analyzing of their facial expressions & body language. It became exhaustive to read what should have been mere dialogue exchanges between Madison & Zachary. The only redeemable story line that held my interest was the one with Gordon & Camille. But this didn't even get started until half way throught the book. But at that point I was merely reading just to get through the book. I would not recommend this book at all if you're looking for a challenging plot beyond what the jacket offers.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Francis Ray has done it again. This book deal with a very touchy subject. Madison And Wes have the perfect marriage in public, but in private they have alot of problems. Madison And Wes have promising jobs with a televison station in Dallas. In the begining everything was fine, until Madison had the miscarriage, then their marriage begin to crumble. Madison had enough to deal, then by some twist of fate Wes was injured in an accident were someone else was killed. Madison finds out that the women that was killed was Wes mistress. While lying on his death bed Wes asked Madison to take care of the child as her on. Still in shock she agrees to take the child. Then Wes Died. Madison begin to lean toward Zachery Holman who was Wes best friend. After Madison started to get over what had happen, she didn't want to keep the baby. Zachery was their trying to chang her mind. Zachery started to fall in love with Madison. He could not hold back his feelings for her. He would come by everyday to see the baby, that was his excuss to be around Madison. That all you need to know, go and get the book. It's worth every penny and then some.
Rating: Summary: Deep but . . . Review: Francis Ray is a great storyteller and this story is no exception -- except this time it's just not a very believable story. How many women would knowingly raise another woman's child knowing that the child was conceived by one's own husband? None that I know. Did anyone see the play "Fences"? Do any of you recall the reactions of the audience? On that note - keep up the good work Ms. Ray as I always expect greatness from you.
Rating: Summary: I Know Who Holds Tomorrow Review: Francis Ray is one of my favorite author. I Know Who Holds Tomorrow is a great love story. It has heart and soul. It explains how couples can fool the public into thinking they are have the perfect marriage when it's only the outside that we see not the true picture. It's shows how secerts can destory you but, at the same time heal your soul. This story gives you alot to think about. It will keep you turning the pages until you reach the end. It will keep you guessing and wondering if true love is really possible. If you like this author you'll love this book. If you don't know this author read this book you'll really enjoy how she makes the people she writes about come alive.
Rating: Summary: She's Done It Again! Review: Francis Ray never disappoints me with her unique plots and interesting characters. Admittedly, I don't think I could have made the same choice as her main character, Madison. Adopting the love child of your deceased spouse and his mistress takes a lot of courage. Nevertheless, Ray writes in such a way that you understand the motivation of a character that exceeds your own limits. That takes talent. This book would make a great movie. My book club loved it!
Rating: Summary: Francis Ray does it again! Review: Francis Ray really knows how to tell a story and make you not want to put the book down. That's what happened to me when I bought this book. Since I own all of her books and have read many of them more than once I was not disappointed and neither will you be once you start reading. On the outside Wes & Madison had the perfect marriage. All of that came to a halt when Wes is involved in an accident and on his death bed makes a confession of betrayal no wife would want to face. With the support of her family, co workers and Wes' best friend Zachary, Madison is able to start putting her life back on track and take care of and love the most innocent one of them all. There is so much I want to say about this book but, I want you to experience the same feelings that I did as I read it. You will want to read it again and again. Go out and purchase this book or order it now. You will be so glad that you did. Other boooks by Francis Ray: Forever Yours, Heart of the Falcon, Until There Was You and Silken Betrayal
