Rating: Summary: 2 Men, A Lady and A Baby Review: In I Know Who Holds Tomorrow, Madison Reed is a popular talk show host who is married to a successful news correspondent, Wes. To all outsiders looking in, not only are they the perfect couple but they have a perfect marriage. They could never be more wrong. After a tragic accident, secrets are revealed leaving Madison to take care of a orphaned baby she does not want. Zachary Holman (Wes' best friend) helps Madison realize that she needs the baby as much as the baby needs her. Does Zachary hold the key to Madison's happiness or the information to further destroy her? Francis Ray is one of my favorite romance novelists. I was a little nervous about her journey into contemporary fiction, but not disappointed. I could feel the grief and anguish that Madison went through after her husband's death. I was glad to see that even though not a romance novel, the romance was still present in the book. I could feel the heat rising from the pages. The side story of Gordon and Camille was expertly done. It added to the story without taking the focus away from the main characters. This novel will be a sure fire hit with Ray's fans, but I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys not only a good story but a romance as well. Reviewed by Nicole APOOO Book Club
Rating: Summary: Francis Ray does it again Review: In Mrs Ray's latest book we find Madison and Wes Reed. To many people they are the hottest couple in Texas. But little did people know that their marriage is on the brinks of divorce. After the loss of the unborn child they have slowly drifted apart. Madison does not realize how apart they have become until Wes is on his death bed after an automobile accident. Madison learns that Wes has a child from another woman and has promise to take care of her. Zachary Holman is there with Madison when she makes this promise to Wes. He sees the real Madison and falls in love with her as she tries to cope with everything that is happening in her life. I loved how the author shows the emotional sides that not only Madison goes through but even Zachary and baby Manda. It draws you in and you are reading to see how everything will turn out. There was also the story of Camille and Gordon which did not take from the main story. Camille is the social worker investigating Madison and Gordon is Madison's boss and close friend. Although he is older than Camille, they can not help the attraction towards each other. I can not tell you too much, but I can say if you have read any of Francis Ray's books or even if you haven't this book will keep you up at night trying to see what happens next. This is truly an excellent read.
Rating: Summary: Hopefully tomorrow is better than today¿ Review: In one stoic night, Madison Reed looses her husband, finds out that he had an affair, and is left with proof of the affair....a nine-month little girl named Manda. Consequently, on the same night, little Manda looses both her parents, orphaned. Zachary is every woman's' dream...A virile man of his word, chivalrous, strong, protective, caring, and confident. He made a promise regarding Manda that he MUST see through. Madison and Zachary are thrown together, made to depend on one another and cooperate to triumph through tumultuous situations. Consequently, just when the ominous clouds are moving scandalous secrets threaten to crumble the foundation these two strong characters built. Francis Ray's writing made my heartache. I wanted to reach out and comfort Madison; to remove her from the levels of grief that were stacking on top of her. In less than 50 pages, Francis established the problem, painted the setting, and sucked me into the poignant plot. Such passion, raw emotions, and unbridled needs. The sensuality...erotic passion gave me shivers. Ray eloquently writes tasteful love scenes that make you squirm. Tender scenes that are more mental and emotional than physical. Shooting electric currents of desire, she deftly builds tension and anticipation between multiple characters and in various situations. Ray wrote so sensually that I closed my eyes and could feel the depth of love and contentment. I Know Who Holds Tomorrow illustrates over and over the importance of love, honesty, and trust in any type of relationship.

Rating: Summary: Great book...! Review: Madison and Wes Reed appeared to be a perfect couple to those that knew them. Little did their friends and family realize that these two were on the verge of a divorce until Wes is killed in a tragic accident while changing a flat tire for a stranger. Before he dies Wes tells Madison that the child who was in the accident was his daughter and made her promise to take care of her. Hurt and in shock by Wes' confession she agree to raise little Manda as her own. With the help of Wes' friend Zachary Holman she struggles to put her life back on track and raise Manda.
Madison was truly a strong black woman who put her anger aside to raise another woman's child after she lost her own baby. Although she was hurt and angry at her husband she did her best not to take that pain out on Manda who was just as much a victim as she was.
Wes Reed was spoiled rich boy who got what he wanted. He used Manda's mother and Madison to get what he wanted not thinking how he could have jeopardized his own future with his wife. Its sad the way he confessed to having a child with another woman and expected his wife to just take her in. Even if Wes lived I think he would have went on using Manda's mother and probably would have never told Madison about his affair.
Zachary Holman was Madison's hero in disguise. He was always there when she needed him no matter what. But his secret's almost cost him a future with the woman he loved....Madison.
This book was an excellent read. Once you get over the shock of Wes' affair you cannot put this book down. The relationship between Gordon (Madison's boss and friend) and Camille the social worker did not take away from the story. In fact it only makes you want to finish the story to see what happens with their May/December relationship. If you enjoyed The Turning Point then you will definitely enjoy I Know Who Holds Tomorrow. -JaT

Rating: Summary: The strength of love Review: Ms. Ray has done it again. The turn of evernts in Madison's life is so amazing to me. As I was reading I thought could I do what she was doing. Then I thought yes, a child is never ask to be born into the family that they are. I was shock to learn who Zachery was to Wes. For him to love Madison no matter what was between him and Wes was deep. I really liked Zach he would not let Madison push him away from the love they found in one another. I also enjoyed the stories of the two other couples. Addressing the issue of one of the other person in the relationship people older was good. To me as long as you love one another age or colored doesn't make a difference. I am waiting on your next book. Keep uo the good work and God Bless.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful!! Review: Ms. Ray is to be commended on another great read! "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" is a down to earth book. So true, so many women are involved in marriages where there is little or no love, mistrust, or even unfaithfulness. Madison Reed happened to be one of those women. Although no fault of Madison, her marriage to Wes took a turn for the worse after Madison loss their unborn child. However, in all fairness to Wes, if they had learned to communicate and express what they were feeling, then perhaps the drift that came into their marriage could have been mended. Madison was suffering, but so was Wes, even though he was taught from being around his parents, not to show true affections or compassion. How sad!! During their time of sorrow, Madison and Wes should have been able to touch and comfort one another. Madison was blessed with having a loving family and true and dear friends at the time she needed them most. After having coming to terms with, but never fully recovering from the loss of her child, Madison is again dealt another blow in life. One day she leaves for work and her whole world changes. She is told of Wes' accident and later before he dies,Wes tells her that he has fathered a child by another woman. Madison and the child's life is interwined when Zachary, someone who is much closer to Wes than a friend, brings the baby home to Madison after Madison had agreed to care for before she realized it was Wes' child. Madison is a loving, caring, and giving person, but doubts whether she can truly accept and care for Wes' child. However, it is already too late because Madison has held the child in her arms and held her to her breast. Madison has felt life in the body of an innocent child. A child whose tomorrows are just beginning. Is Madison the woman that will hold baby Manda's tomorrows. If so, when will Madison discover who holds her tomorrows. Will Madison make that discovery before it is too late or will she just let her tomorrows fade away into the future? Zachary Holman, handsome, kindhearted, gentle, hard working and loving is not only devoted to little Manda, but Zachary has come to love Madison. Zachary's bond is tied to both Manda and Madison. Zachary is always there when they need him. For both Manda and Madison, Zachary is more than willing to be the one to hold their tomorrows. He has committed the rest of his life to them. "I Know Who Hold Tomorrows" is a great book that deals with love, trust and commitment. Hats off again to Ms. Ray.
