Summary: Infuriatingly D-U-M-B by an intelligent genre pro
Review: I'm a consistent fan of almost all of Lindsey's work, but I think this is the worst one. The character of Irina, the assassin with a heart of gold, too beautiful to be true, with a "secret tragedy"... I don't know, it just got dumber and dumber, more and more sentimental, until I only finished it because such is my invariable practice. Genre writers often go downhill, and I fear this is occurring here. Too bad, because the early ones were a cut above the usual fare.

Review: In MY honest opinion David L. Lindsey has outdone himself writing this novel. Remember to read this little beauty of suspence. And while you're at it, don't forget to read MERCY as well...

Summary: Excellent spy thriller!
Review: Just the ticket to fill my yearning for a good spy novel after seeing the movie Bourne Identity last week. I did not want this book by David Lindsey to end! It was so interesting, exciting, but in just the right amount to keep you intellectually stimulated. It was believable and so well-written I just loved reading it so much. The end was fine, I was a little confused about it, but I liked the book so much I would read something by Mr. Lindsey again in a minute. I could hardly put this book down. Irina, Krupatin, Cate, and Leo were really interesting characters as were Bontate and Wei.

Summary: Poetry and wisdom in a spy thriller?!!
Review: Without giving away one bit of this well-written thriller, I can safely say it's the first one I've ever read that has a wonderfully silky poetic texture coupled with astonishingly wise understandings of the characters. I could hardly put the book down, except of course, when the beauty of a description would make me stop to savor it. I have read no other works by this author, but wouldn't hesitate to read another.
