Summary: Terrific suspense!
Review: Fabulous writer. The mystery is well paced and keeps you guessing til the end. Characters are well drawn and realistic.
I enjoyed both of Heitman's books and look forward to the next.
She is on my list of favorite mystery writers!

Summary: TARMAC
Review: HOW EXCITING TO HAVE ANOTHER BOOK BY LYNN HEITMAN. TARMAC WAS FILLED WITH SUSPENSE, INTERESTING CHARACTERS, AND A FAST-MOVING PLOT. LYNN HAS SUPERIOR KNOWLEGE OF THE "BEHIND THE SCENES" NET WORK AND SHOWS THIS IN HER CHARACTERS AND PLOTS.

I HOPE SHE HAS ALMOST FINISHED HER NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES AS I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO READ IT.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Good Read
Review: I enjoyed this book; in fact am purchasing her first one "Hard Landing". This is a good thriller, but don't read it while you are flying!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I want to drink shots with Alex Shanahan
Review: I have read both Hard Landing and Tarmac, and really love Alex Shanahan. She's a welldrawn character with a great blend of toughness and vulnerability. She's nuts to chase a suspect into the Florida swamps, but unlike those old movies where the heroine walks stupidly into danger, I see exactly what drives her to do it, and I cheer her on. Tarmac introduces two other characters I am looking forward to seeing again soon -- Felix the hotel manager is the sort of young man who the unobservant would underestimate, but he's smarter than hell and very likable; and Jack Dolan who you'll just have to get to know for yourselves...

Lots of action, a fast read, takes you right to Florida.

Summary: Exciting Thriller
Review: I thought Miss Heitman's "Hard Landing" was superb but she has surpassed herself with her new book "Tarmac"!! I promise you the ride of your life and it's the kind of book you won't want to put down for a second. The story moves at a fast and exciting pace with lots of twists and turns. The characters are finely drawn and I especially liked the computer guru. I highly recommend "Tarmac" and am looking forward to Miss Heitman's next book with Alex.

Summary: GRIPPING, SUSPENSEFUL, CHOCK FULL OF THRILLS
Review: I thought that HARD LANDING was good, but TARMAC exceeded my expectations. The characters fairly jump off the page and Alex is certainly maturing in her suspense-creating escapades. The insider's knowledge of the airline industry has broadened into a cafeteria of drug dealers, hot-part theives, you name it! Throw in a mean dog, a computer geek and a charismatic PI and this one will keep you turning pages until the final paragraph ( just ask me). Can hardly wait for Ms. Heitman's next offering.

Summary: Tarmac
Review: If you have read Lynne Heitman's Hard Landing, you'll love Tarmac! If you haven't read it, I recommend it -- it forms a great backdrop for Tarmac, though Tarmac stands nicely on its own as a thriller from cover to cover. I am already standing in line for Lynne's next book.

Summary: IT JUST GETS BETTER...
Review: In "Hard Landing" Heitman introduces a smart, capable, yet emotionally bruised Alex Shanahan. In Alex we discover a heroine who's not larger than life, but REAL. Someone who makes mistakes, trusts the wrong people, but prevails anyway. "Tarmac" deepens Alex and thrusts her into situations that are way over her head. The story is both chilling and exhilerating and never lets up on the tension. You can't help but wonder, "Could this really happen?" Like a masterful tease, Heitman feeds us more and more tidbits about the inner Alex, giving us a character who is as complex as the intricate plotlines she crafts. Alex isn't perfect which is what makes her a worthy character that I want to follow. I can't wait for number three.

Summary: Go, Lynne Heitman!!
Review: Love her quick-paced, sharply drawn suspense novels. They really just draw you in!
