Summary: Historically Extremely Sloppy
Review: When I got to the point with the death penalty in Massachusetts, I gave up. If the author is this inaccurate with such a fundamental thing as this, she must be as sloppy throughout the rest of the book. Having the death penalty in Massachusetts, even in fiction, goes against who we are and what we stand for. She's obviously from out of state, which I realized when I read about 'Boston license plates.' Now, what's a Boston license plate? Like the Boston Globe, I'd give it a 'don't bother.'

Review: Wow! After I saw the review of "QUIETUS" in the New York Times Book Review, I had to check it out. ...I ordered the book through Amazon, which I finished reading only two days after getting my copy. This is a superb work of fiction, with plenty of "historical fact" and details about religious dogma and philosophy to please any audience, from seasoned professors to teens. I would highly recommend this book.
