Rating: Summary: Truly awful-juvenile Review: This is from the man who writes new age Blaxploitation like "The Brothers" and "Deliver Us from Eva" (which he stole from Shakespeare). I'll stick to Gar Anthony Haywood, G Phillips, E T Bland, Christopher Chambers, L Marie Wood, Grace Edwards, Frankie Bailey et al.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable Review: This is the second book that I've read by Gary Hardwick with Double Dead being the other. Although not quite at the level of Double Dead, Supreme Justice tells an exciting tale about a US Attorney, Marshall Jackson, assigned to a murder case where all of the evidence points to a man, Mbutu. He soon learns, however, that this case just seems to be too airtight and he finds himself trying to find out what really happened. Gary Hardwick's strength is his ability to draw you into each character to the point where you're turning the pages because you must know what happens. My only complaint about the book, though, is that it's lacking in the suspense area. If you're looking for an exciting book with lots of suspense too, read Double Dead by Gary Hardwick instead of this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, Intriguing Review: This is the second of Mr Hardwick books I have read, and each one had me guessing to the end. I don't know why they are not movies, but somewhere, somebody is missing out on a real action movie. The action is not stop. There is so much going on, that it is hard to put the book down. Way to Go Gary!.
Rating: Summary: When's The Movie Coming Out? Review: This was a great read. I could just see this one being played out on the big screen. I wasn't familiar with Mr. Hardwick's work prior to Supreme Justice being chosen by my book club. However, I am sure that I will be reading other work by him. My husband, who very seldoms reads for pleasure, is currently engrossed in this book. It was one of those few works of art that you couldn't stop reading, but at the same time, you didn't want it to come to an end. Great Work Mr. Hardwick.
Rating: Summary: supreme justice Review: This was the best novel I've read in a long time it kept you guessing all the way to the end. It is really sad when law enforcements will go to any length to get a conviction. All for a position. Gary did a good job in presenting Marshall and Danny, and its sad to know and except the fact a family member could be so evil.
Rating: Summary: Supreme Mystery Review: You want suspense? You've picked up the right book. This novel is so masterfully crafted that you won't know what to expect from one chapter to the next. The Mystery Meister, Gary Hardwick includes numerous twists and turns, making you feel like you are on a winding race car course with nothing but adrenaline fuelling your path. In Detroit Michigan, controversial Supreme Court Justice Farrell Douglas is murdered. Farrell's conservative views ousted him from his African American heritage. His own people believing him to be a sell out. Marshall Jackson is assigned to the case. Marshall is in a box with adversaries everywhere, CIA at one corner, FBI at another, and the US District Attorney constantly in his shadow. That's not all, add Marshall's estranged brother, tempermental best friend Danny, and demanding wife to the equation, and you've got mayhem. Tagged with the responsibility of litigating the biggest case of the decade, not to mention his job and life being on the line, and you've got an awesome protagonist in a thrilling novel.
