Summary: Save your life information
Review: "Mr. Invisible 'secretcy'" doesn't know what he's talking about and can't spell. This is a great book; the newest edition is as current as the print date would allow, and you can keep current by visiting Mr. Luna's website. Getting (free, might I add), relevant, up-to-date advice from a top expert is not to be discounted, and the author stays in touch with his readers. This is not about doing anything underhanded (which Luna is staunchly against), but about protecting one's sacred privacy. This is clearly a person with strong principles. GREAT resource!!!

Summary: Thorough, simple, legal
Review: After reading the first edition, I was eager to read the revised addition. I was not disappointed by the many updates that have been included.

First, as before, I was pleased by the simplicity of what is taught. None of the "off shore" schemes promoted by others, and most important for me was the avoidance of anything illegal.

Mr. Luna provides readers not only with methods of keeping one's personal life private, but encourages readers to learn from those methods and develop their own methods that work best for them. But he doesn't stop with the book. Readers of the book are granted access to a portion of his web site that the author has REGULARLY updated for years. This area of his web site provides readers with updates-- very important considering how the world changes so quickly. He also responds personally to readers questions, and posts the responses online so we can all learn together.

It becomes very clear early on that the author has employed these techniques himself, so he knows what works and what doesn't.

He also provides resources-- actual names of people who the author trusts to help protect your privacy.

When one combines the information in the book, the resources, and the web site, one gets a complete privacy package.

I strongly recommend you get this book now-- even if you can't immediately forsee a need for privacy. The steps you need to take can't wait until after someone on the highway feels you cut them off and calls his friend of a friend at the DMV to learn where you live-- it's too late then!

Summary: THE guide for persons being stalked
Review: As a woman who is being stalked by someone, this book is an absolute dream come true. Mr. Luna has presented an encyclopedia of information on how to make yourself as anonymous as possible, and has done so in a way that anyone can understand...and implement.

The techniques are all legal, which was important to me. I have only started and have a long way to go in order to begin to feel safe, but I'm grateful to have this book as my guide.

It's also quite interesting (and spooky) to learn just how much information is out there about you and how easy it may be accessed. If you are a person in a bad situation and recognize that law enforcement can only do so much, this is the book for you. It's well written, it's specific, and it tells you exactly what to do. Step by step. This is the book you need. It's worth every cent and more! Make sure you buy the latest edition, 2004!

Summary: The Best
Review: Having read both of Mr.Luna's books on privacy,as well as many if not all of the other books published on the subject, and having placed many of his suggestions into practice, I still contend that his book is the best by far.

His suggestions are not only practical but legal as well.
Ideas present by other writers are not only questionable, but at the very least paint a bright red target on your back.

The fact that Mr. Luna keeps up on the ever changing world, and is up to date on what will and what won't work, and is willing to share this information long after the price of the book has faded
proves that this is the book to have if you are serious about your privacy.Thank you Mr Luna

Summary: Eye opener
Review: I found this book to be an eye opener to the world of privacy invasion. It is unbelieveable how easy it has become to destroy someone's life at home or at work.

I also found "The Digital Umbrella" to be a great reference as well. This book covers the work scene in far better detail.

Summary: A Must Read Book On Privacy
Review: I have read both editions of Mr. Luna's books on privacy and give them a thumbs up rating. He explains the dangers of being "careless" with ones personal information and gives step by step instructions on how to regain your privacy and protect yourself, be it from identity theft, stalkers, lawsuits, or a whatever other dangers there are from being easily known (or tracked down). I only wish I would have had this information as a teenager so I could have started my personal privacy journey more easily. A must read for anyone wanting to strengthen their personal privacy. I look forward to his upcoming book. A+++++++

Summary: Up-to-the-minute information!
Review: I know of no other author in the field of privacy (and I have all the books) who answers many readers' questions on a day-to-day basis. If you don't believe this, go to www.howtobeinvisible.com and click on the "Questions" link.

I purchased Luna's orginal book in 2000, and his current revised edition. The original book was the best in the field and the new edition is even better. Unlike so many other books that advocate questionable (or illegal) procedures--false ID, offshore trusts, etc.--Luna opts for legal solutions. His tips on getting your mail at an alternate or "ghost" address are alone worth the price of the book.

Summary: The answer to your post September 11th Concerns:
Review: I own both of J.J. Luna's "How to be Invisible" books, the original and the newly revised edition for 2004. J.J. Luna is an excellent privacy consultant and he keeps up on his trade providing you with correct and current information on protecting your personal privacy.

More info is available @ www.pcpitbull.com with feedback and advice. I have personally written Mr. Luna and one of his accomplices, "Senorita" with questions and suggestions and they have always responded in a quick and courteous manner. I believe this illustrates Mr. Luna's commitment to his readers; something most privacy advocates avoid so that no one can call their bluff.

In "How to be Invisible" the 2004 revision, Mr. Luna does more than just fill the gaps of his old book. He makes it a point to provide the reader with an overall sense of comfort in following his practices, holding your hand through the hard parts and sending you in the right direction to continue on living a private life.

In the beginning of the new book J.J. admits that the events of September 11th 2001 and the subsequent security measures enforced, changed or eradicated a large portion of the first rendition. The changes themselves though, were not very substantial. The theme is the same, the details are a little more detailed and overall I found this new revision to be more informative and helpful than the first. Mr. Luna filled the needed gaps and provided the missing links that every revision attempts to do, and he succeeded. The end result is an easy to follow, informative and moving guide to living a more private life.

Protecting your privacy is not something you should be ashamed of, it does not make you a zealot, it gives you the personal protection that you deserve in today's society. Mr. Luna's book gives you all the information you need to start sewing your modern security blanket. If you value your life and the life of your family, you owe it to yourself and to them to become informed. Start here!

Summary: Important resource for women
Review: I read this book four times in the space of a week. This is the first book of its kind I've ever read and it answered questions I've had for many years.

Other reviwers haven't emphasized enough how much work Luna has done with women and how many of his tips are tailor-made for women troubled with stalkers. This is a common occurance for women and one that often turns dangerous. His advice is clear and usually easy to implement, making it a godsend for women who want protection without resorting to dogs, other men or weapons.

I plan on giving copies of this book to everyone I know and recommending it online in other discussion forums I belong to. This book is my personal "Book of the Year". Reading it the first time was like opening a whole new room flooded with light, as opposed to fumbling down a dark hallway. Yes, I've had some privacy issues and found this book to be just what I was asking for.

He updates his website almost daily, which is excellent. I only wish he would add a private discussion board to it, but that might make the site too bulky.

I would give this book 10 stars if I could. It is as useful as the clothing you wear every day. A #1 resource.

Summary: Excellent reading for all ages - must know info on privacy
Review: If you are old enough to drive (or much older), you need to read this book.

The author does an excellent job of informing the reader how to maintain privacy and protect oneself under a variety of circumstances. He also understands that not everyone can or wants to achieve the ultimate level that he has - take it as far as you like and are comfortable with.

Other reviewers giving a negative impression of this book don't appear to have read (or understood) the entire book. Many of their comments are simply incorrect. Some of this is tough to do and not for everyone and the author makes that perfectly clear.

The book is well worth the money and the ONLY book I have found that is supported by the author DAILY with a FREE website.

Thank you Mr. Luna!
