Rating: Summary: 9 In 10 SWM Agree: Moore Has Yet To Be Laid Once In Life!!!! Review: Michael Boor's the GREAT SATAN. He's absolutely no right to express opinions at all. Abused free speech has traditionally been burial grounds to reputations of other populist ideologues who take over people's partialities and solicit them more of their imbalanced biases. Boor's "writing style" is frenetically frenzied, submissively depending more on gullibly excitable liberals' neediness for some charlatan figurehead to organize their dreadfully unfounded conspiracy theories into a mock Bible for them to subordinate to. In the laughably illegal "Notes & Sources", Boor's culpable of failing to provide documentation that'll prove his ungrounded, hysterical libel beyond half-truth.In Chapter 1-solely exploitation for him to swear about his CONCUBINE Nader not winning-this jerk-off usurps skewed "news-reports", which further dishonestly sustain his impositions, enabling him to forge entire chapters of concealment. Boor chicanes that Republicans sabotaged Florida's election through disenfranchising Blacks. Boor hides the preeminence that 13 other states disallowed ex-convict Blacks from voting. Demoncrats cheaply seized on this circumstantial illusion because Florida was the only state where they could charge suspicions, because of the voting chaos. Boor covers-up Gore's shame of getting 445 contraband "votes"-with 5000 projected illegal votes statewide-from these same felons Demoncrats battled to include!!!! Regarding absentee ballots, Boor conceals the mortal conundrum Demoncrats faced upon contesting the overseas votes for Bush. The shortcoming Demoncrats routed themselves when there wasn't mathematical certainty to determine who would've won between Bush and Gore, within that Demoncratic-challenged overseas vote-counting, and by appearing traitorous to the military!!!! For these ignominious reasons, scores of lost-soul mongoloids who blaspheme that Boor's endnotes are "authoritative" should be censured. Boor's cancer of exploiting societies' KUCKLEDRAGGERS (LIBERALS) is chronically blatant in Chapter 2, where Boor sells people their own narrow-mindedness in willfully believing Prescott Bush's Nazi-financier accusations. I'm forcibly encharged with EDUCATING the unclean liberals who succumb to Boor's dictatorship. What Boor overrides is those brandings at Prescott Bush are just circumstantial hearsays of a self-righteous "Nazi Hunter", Loftus-who's untamed due to hypersensitivity of being Jewish-founded on the mystery "testimony" of some secondary contact's "informant", and a calamity of CONJECTURE!!!! Chapter 2 disreputably illustrates Boor's and Demoncrats' tumor ever since the 2000 elections, as Boor dictates one chapter for Bush's defaming. Boor's convicted for being retarded, in how inexperienced he's to touch a subject. In Chapter 3, Boor inexpertly mishandles observing the economy and stock markets. This jerk-off combines fabrication with exploiting the even worse cretinism of his zealot liberal subjects. Boor nervously overhypes that the three-year downwardness in the economy's only applicable to "working people", while the "rich" are "wallowing in loot". Disregard CEOs symbolically taking $1 salaries, or forgoing them altogether, in any recession, companies will reduce costs through layoffs, and this economic stagnation's a worldwide event; observe Europe and Asia-Boor's invalid in his incitement of envy towards the rich. By seniority laws, the middle class is going to be the first terminated, although this recession was different because layoffs were contaminating even administrative and managerial positions. Boor next mistreats the imposed connection between his inapplicably narrow observations and the broader economy, misappropriating that because of the "rich" in his luxury building, the economy must be smoking. Another detestability of Boor's is his untiring sensationalism of petty issues, convulsing in affected frenzy!!!! In Chapter 7, he obscenely confirms his stooping to unbelievable self-dislike, pretexting to side with anti-male, zealous feminists everywhere to schemingly ensnare that demographic to patronize his book. Boor maltreats abstract statistics of female-male disparity in administrative positions to embellish that women haven't made progress in liberation, which is based on such constricted criteria, its validity is debased. All one's to do is perceive PC decisions that constantly collapse in overwhelming favor for women-child custody, benefit of doubt in rape allegations, and sexual harassment allegations (to name a few)-to garner that women, like blacks, are tyrannically more protected in PC society than white males!!!! Boor imposes double-standards. He mocks males as "the weaker sex", yet after citing degrading statistics about more women being under the poverty rate, men are instantly backslid to positions of subjecting women. Boor prevaricates "women still earn less", despite Census Bureau statistics affirming women at record highs in earnings and bachelor-degree holdings, and comprising 45% of executive/managerial occupations in 2002. Women attempt suicide three times greater, and endure depressive, anxiety and eating disorders furiously more, while Boor conceals these to scorn males as "going extinct"!!!! This disparagingly illustrates Boor's nuisance-sickness of misallocating data bent to his agendas to allegedly "support" his one-sidedness. In impious Chapter 11, Boor sinks to all-out fraud!!!! Boor arraigns the angry, anti-abortion Republicans, like Hatch and Thompson, of relapsing their anti-abortion stands for their selfish benefit of helping their loved ones. The pitfall with Boor's warp is that those Republicans weren't contesting for the destruction of embryos-they were challenging for only EXISTING cells to be used in research, which wouldn't be genocide because existing cells were already slated for destruction; thus they were actually turning cells' inevitable massacres into philanthropy. My tireless disclosures of Boor's inordinate abjections could continue indefinitely to include every last contradiction, hyperventilation, chicanery, affectedness, demagoguery towards easily fooled, undereducated LIBERALIDIOTS, partiality, and subservience toward frailer societies and governments found in every page!!!! Boor despises religion, dislikes Capitalism's empowerment of persons to establish themselves, sneers minorities and women are incapable of equal performance to white men-facilitating Boor's mistreatment to demand charity for minorities and women instead-and detests whites. Boor's the most poisonous imposter because it's unconventionally difficult for someone to have such daunting moral codes that he'd selflessly disparage himself before others. Boor's a cunning plotter, victimizing impurely paranoid liberals to fanatically misallocate his smut as something authoritative. The insane, bloodthirsty psychopaths who discombobulated Boor's smut as "well-researched" are MENTALLY ILL!!!! The crumbling evidence of plagiarizing biased internet reports from journalists refutes that. These lowest bottom-feeding, troglodyte liberals suffering from Boor-subjection are direly in NEED of significant learning and getting their dissipated minds OUT of the GUTTER. I SPIT ON liberals!!!!
Rating: Summary: There is still hope ... Review: ... as long as modern-day heroes like Mr. Moore are around. What really scares me is not the crimes committed by the American government, not the crimes committed by American soldiers, not the information control by Murdoch & Co, not American corporate culture, not Mr. Bush blackmailing the UN and the rest of the world, not the fact that it requires killing a lot of people to allow a few people to live a more than comfortable life. C'mon - it's America. This is how it works. It's freedom, it's democracy, it's GOOD. Americans are the GOOD ones. What does scare me is the level to which people with other viewpoints are discriminated, censored, and intimidated - and this in all levels of US-American society. A bit biased this book is? Of course - it's meant to be. It presents another view than the common American hurray-patriotism. Yes, this man is a clear threat for the conscience of all those feeling too content about being citizens of the "greatest country" on earth. So I admire Mr. Moore for having the courage to stand up for a better society, for freedom of speech, for democracy - despite all the humiliations and intimidations. Bias? Yes, but nothing compared to the fantastic lies we get from Washington on a daily basis. Apart from that, it is a very funny and entertaining book. Even hard-core Republicans won't be able to hide a smile or two.
Rating: Summary: Stupid White Men Indeed Review: I finally broke down and read this. I've read Dude Wheres My Country and found a little less than half of it good the rest was nonsense. This book gets 1 star from me for its amusement value. It gets another star for the Bush bashing. So a total of 2 stars. More probably than it deserves, the rest of it probably rates a big negative and should by all rights cancel out the first two, but I'll give it to Moore for effort of nothing else. Moore is economically illiterate. He is also very ignorant. This book mainly rehashes old myths about capitalism that have been proven wrong over and over again for decades. Moore attributes anything he doesn't like or understand to the evils of what he calls "C-A-P-I-T-A-L-I-S-M". Funny he doesn't seem to mind it when collecting his book royalties, but lets leave that for now. An example from the book is the so-called California "energy crisis" Moore rants that this was a failure of capitalism because the energy shortages came after "deregulation". Unfortunately for Moore, California never deregaulted the energy market. They may have called it that, but in reality they re-regulated it heavier than it had been before and outlawed the very mechanisms that would have provided for a stable and inexpensive energy supply. The market was interfered with and manipulated by politicians and the results were exactly as expected. Stupid white men allright with Moore and Gray Davis holding the pole positions in the stupid race. What blew my mind in the whole book was Moore blaming the pitful misery and poverty on the Indian reservations on the evil C-word. Had Moore bothered to do any research on this at all he would have discovered that they are miniature centrally planned, socialist economies run by the federal government's Bureau of Indian Affairs, complete with Soviet-style "five-year plans." The= resevations are the very epitome of socialism and its destructiveness. This is a test-tube for federally administered socialism and apparently exactly the way Moore would have us all live. This is socialism in practice and had worked exactly the same way in every single socialist state on Earth from the mighty Soviet Union to Cuba. Not of course not for Moore and his elite buddies, he'll go move in next door to Barbara Streisand and Alec Baldwin two massively rich folks also "concerned" for the poor. Be sure they will have their mansions and limos as we turn the rest of the country into one big federally managed Indian reservation. When the Indians beg for the BIA to leave them alone they build homes, factories, schools and make themselves prosperous. That is what captialism does. American Indian leaders understand that capitalism will be their economic salvation, just as the socialist hellholes called "reservations" have abused them for generations. Moore also comes across as a shill for big labor. Claiming to be an advocate of the "poor" Moore supports the union position by giving Nike business for hiring the poor to work in their factories enabling them to lift themselves, their familes and their communities out of grinding poverty. Nope, no can do. Moore says Nike should price these people out of the market taking away the only advantage they have to compete. I suppose Moore likes the idea of them having to send their children to scavenge in garbage dumps and selling their daughters into prostitution. Amazingly Moore even blames the problems of crime, bad schools, poverty, and governmental corruption in Washington, D.C. on "C-A-P-I-T-A-L-I-S-M." Washington, D.C., like the Indian reservations, is an island of socialism. Its government-run schools are among the nation's worst; it is one of the highest-tax jurisdictions in America; has the largest number of local governmental bureaucrats of any city of comparable size; its police are notoriously ineffective and corrupt; and to D.C. residents the notion of "public service" is a cruel joke. This is all the result of government failure in a city that worships government. In the end, after misdiagnosing nearly every social and economic problem that he writes about, showcasing his total ignorance, incorrectly blaming them on capitalism, Moore proposes bigger and bigger government and higher and higher taxation - socialism - as a sure-fire cure-all for America's ills. Talk about Stupid White Men.
Rating: Summary: The Myth of Michael Moore Review: A recent news article: "A while ago, (Michael Moore) was challenged by CNN about 'glaring inaccuracies' in STUPID WHITE MEN. 'This is a book of political humor. So, I mean, I don't respond to that sort of stuff, you know...How can there be inaccuracy in comedy?'" There can be inaccuracy in "comedy" when you try to pass it off as fact, and Moore has a made a career of doing that--not to mention a grotesque amount of cash. Every time I've seen a microphone in this guy's face--and he runs to them--HE forgets that he's a comedian and reveals his deep, seething hatred for George W. Bush. I've flipped through a couple of Moore's books as well as the rantings of Al Franken and couldn't believe that anyone could find it funny. If they could just be a little more obnoxious, shrill and arrogant, they might actually become hilarious caricatures of frothing psychotics. Instead, they just sound like very bitter, unhappy know-it-alls. The only funny thing about either one of them is that, when they start taking any heat for their bile, they run for cover by insisting, "It's just comedy!" Now that's funny.
Rating: Summary: I Thought Moore Was Writing His Autobiography Review: If you not a member of the Kool-Aid drinking leftist anti-American crowd, you will find this book full of biased half-truths, out-right lies and a simpleton's drivel. Don't waste your money.
Rating: Summary: Throwing More Spit Wads at the Administration Review: A lot of interesting ideas, and the best idea that emanates from the book...QUESTION YOUR LEADERS!! He still reminds me too much of the kid in the back of the room firing spit balls. A little too much immaturity showing up in several chapters, but he has GUTS, and more Americans should follow is example of courage to say what he wants to say. I will defend his right to say what he wants to say. (...)
Rating: Summary: Fascination, or: I Haven't Read the Book but Want to Comment Review: I must say I have NOT read this book, but I shall, precisely because of this particular webpage and the set of reviews. (This would gratify Mike Moore immensely, no doubt!). Whether you like Moore or hate "Boor" (as one reviewer labeled him), his comments and writing cause one to think. I found some reviews to be more indicative of the reviewer's personal worries and aggravations than to be actual reviews. Moore respects anyone's ability to "sound off".(actually, the only thing I find distasteful is his technique of getting subjects to confide in him and feel they share a kindred feeling, only to then, in true Hollywood gossip column style, turn and use the comments made in trust against that same person. I've seen that done to friends and relatives, and it really makes me cringe. I realize it's a journalistic privilege to use quotes out of context, but I really really hate it, and I am disappointed Moore does it so often. It does make wonderful reading and cinema, though.) In any case, without trying to be "elitist" isn't it wonderful how many people have reviewed the book! WOW! This is the best part about the whole thing.
Rating: Summary: Funny, truthful and outrageous but vastly overated Review: So what's the big deal about "Stupid White Men" ? Not much really if you analyze its content, except that Moore has the audacity to shout out loud what many of us instinctly know is true about the state of the nation in America in the most funny and outrageous way. His is the voice of the silent majority and for this reason alone is likely to bring about catharthic release in all but the most right wing of readers. Yet one can't help but feel that the book for all its crackerjack reader-friendly in-your-face humour is itself probably guilty of hyperbole and undeserving of serious scrutiny. At times, its relentless vitriolic and diatribe against all and sundry becomes tiresome and sadly reductive. Read it anyway. It's zany and witty and highly entertaining.....but winner of the BRITISH Book Award ? I've read better. The world needs "Stupid White Men" but that doesn't in itself make it a great book.
Rating: Summary: Satire at it¿s best!!... Must Read for the OPEN MINDED... Review: In a right winged bookstore this book is probably found in the comedy or fiction aisle. But.. this really sums up the 'American' stupidity in a nutshell, Moore shows his country for what it is, 'no holds barred' , and my what a sense of humour he has in relaying his message.. People should open up to the 'real world' and try and figure out what is really going in the 'great united states' (ha)... give this one a read, and if you want more check out the sources in the back... Later =) God Bless ME!
Rating: Summary: Is this a Joke? Review: If some comedian were to lift a page out of Spinal Tap's book and do a parody of contemporary liberalism, he would write Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men" to the letter, down to the last exclamation mark. The truly striking thing, however, is that Moore writes this book in complete sincerity, and in doing so comes to personify every criticism people have ever made about liberals: he is so arrogant and elitist that anyone who disagrees with him is automatically labled an idiot, so condescending and paternalistic that he truly believes average Joe Americans are unable to accomplish anything without being spoonfed by cultured elites like himself, so narrow-minded and biased that he presents ridiculous ravings as fact without citing any credible evidence, so blatantly hypocritical that he blames rich people for all the ills of the world while thinking nothing of the fact that he himself earns several million dollars a year, lives in a multi-storied mansion, and travels exclusively be limo service. As if that weren't enough, Moore's writing style is on the level of the average fifth grader. Anyone looking for a serious discussion of the issues of our times will find nothing of value in this writing, just the immature, ridiculous temper tantrums of an egotistical charlatan. If Michael Moore is truly representative of liberals, as he claims, I fear for the future of this country...
