Summary: 9/11 Was More About Fascism, Than Terrorism!
Review: The Bush Whitehouse maintains that 9/11 was a foreign terrorist attack, resulting from a "massive intelligence failure". In reality, the only "massive intelligence failure" connected with 9/11, is that so many people have been hoodwinked, by the government's official story! Contrary to what the many seemingly respectable, pundits, experts, and stooges, would have you believe, government conspiracies have been affecting U.S. history for better or worse, since the birth of the republic! Only the most useful of idiots, or those seeking to deceive, would scoff at the unmistakable hand of the U.S. government, in the cataclysmic events of 9/11! In order to understand 9/11, one must dispense with both stupidity, and the official story! Why would one think, the official 9/11 story is any more truthful than say, the official story of why we're in Iraq? Both were cooked up by the same people and believe it or not, both have been proven to be lies. If the Bush II administration, secretly conspired to start a war with Iraq, by lying about Iraqi WMD's, it is equally feasible that they would use staged terrorists attacks, in order to establish a dictatorship in the U.S., based upon `homeland security'! When viewed correctly, 9/11 turns out to be more about fascism than terrorism! While we were busy worrying about foreign terrorists, the Bush team was busy undermining the Constitution, by packing the congress, and the federal judiciary, with obedient ideologues. This is why we now have criminals in high office, thumbing their noses at the law, another Vietnam-like quagmire in Iraq, rigged elections, and loss of constitutional rights via patriot acts I and II! If you get the feeling that the country was hijacked after 9/11, you're absolutely right! The national trauma inflicted on 9/11, opened the way for a full-scale fascist takeover of the nation. The fascists in question, are of the homegrown variety, so they easily masquerade as republicans, democrats, conservatives, religious ideologues, and even liberals!

The question now is, will enough of us wake up to the mortal danger our nation currently faces, or will we end up like Germany, after the Nazis took over? The fight against a resurgent American fascism, is essentially the fight against American ignorance. If you haven't studied the actual facts of 9/11, then you basically have no idea what really happened that day! The government cover-up, including the official story, makes sure of that. In other words, everything you've been told is a lie! `The New Pearl Harbor' by David Griffin is therefore a must read, for all concerned citizens. In a concise volume, it contains a good examination of many little-known facts of 9/11. The beauty of Griffin's book is that like so many Americans, he too was bamboozled by the official story. It was only after he was exposed to the real facts, via the groundbreaking work of independent 9/11 researchers, that he began to realize the official story didn't add up! If you're able to think critically, Griffin's book forces you to question the huge discrepancies between the government account of 9/11, and what actually occurred on that day. When the official story is compared against the actual sequence of events, the official story is blown completely away! One should not only examine the actual facts of the attacks, but also focus upon what the government did before, during, and after, the attacks! Only in this way, will the big picture be understood. When this type of study is done, you will understand why Bush reacted with total nonchalance on 9/11, when informed the nation was under attack! None of the pivotal facts of 9/11 can be found in our contemptible mainstream media, so one has to be willing to do one's homework! Brilliant independent researchers have done much of the tedious fact finding for us. This provides the concerned citizen, with a growing body of excellent online, print, and video, resources. This includes Phil Jayhan's www.Letsroll911.org, David Griffin's 'The New Pearl Harbor', and Dave Von Kleist's `9/11 In Plane Site'. The best independent 9/11 research reveals government complicity. Such conclusions are unavoidable, if one strictly follows the actual trail of evidence. When one is properly informed by the truth of 9/11, it becomes unmistakably clear that the attacks, could only have occurred, through involvement, at the highest levels of the U.S. government

Summary: Disturbing questions about the author
Review: If there's any case to be made for another investigation of 911, it would have to be better reasoned and more robust than this book. I'm very disturbed that in America today, people on the Left and the Right accept anything that fits their world view without any critical thinking.

Any intellectually honest examination of the questions raised in this book would preclude the writing of the book at all. The author uses innuendo and citations of citations (some of which I couldn't even verify) to cobble together an inchoate mess that makes no good argument for anything except for better education in America.

Having been raised on JFK books, I can testify that Griffin's book could have been written using a template for conspiracy theories. The author starts out with the usual disclaimer of having come to his startling revelations after being a believer of the "official theory." Then he goes on to cover himself by stating that although some holes might be found in his arguments, there are so many arguments that the totality argues for acceptance. Finally he makes the stock claim that he's not arguing for a position on what happened on 911, only arguing for another investigation. This is all from Conspiracy Theory 101.

In addition to innuendo, Griffin resorts to such FoxNews-type tactics as "those familiar with the facts" when those he's writing about are Internet conspiracy theorists. Do we really want the standard of investigative research in America to be on the level of Matt Drudge? God knows we don't have any real investigative journalism going on in mainstream media but that doesn't mean we fall to the level of whatever is out there.

The author calls for a Congressional investigation but why would he trust the conclusions of the government? He also disparages the ideas of civil engineers who have theorized about the Twin Towers' collapse, some of whom were involved in building the towers. Who are these magical investigators who will make Griffin believe? They don't exist. This is just like JFK in that no matter how many investigations are conducted, no matter how many qualified experts offer data, the results will be met with, "Well, they're probably in on it or they can't be objective because the thought that the government is involved is just too hard to contemplate."

Case in point, there has already been an extensive forensic examination of all remains from the Pentagon. All but a couple of the victims on Flight 77 and in the Pentagon were identified by DNA and odontology. It doesn't matter because the folks lauding Griffin's book, if they read the report at all, will dismiss it as being written "by the government." Nevermind the dedication of those investigators who carried out the work. They're all in on it. Same goes with the NTSB investigation of the 757 crash.

I'm sure Griffin has the best of intentions. I have no position on the argument in his book, e.g. that there should be another investigation. I have a serious problem with his methodology. This is not the level of public discourse we want if we want a vital, informed democracy. There is a fundamental flaw in these overreaching mythologies in that they examine nothing and posit everything.

A more honest approach, and a much stronger case I might add, would be to take one aspect of the events of 911 and examine it to scientific standards. Whether it's the collapse of the towers or Flight 77, it would need examination by people qualified in the respective fields with experimental verifiability.

If those of us on the Progressive side of the political debate want to be taken seriously and seriously believe in the power of Progressive ideals and principles, we'd better be a hell of a lot more rigorous in the way we frame our ideas. Griffin's book does not meet that ideal and in my opinion, is the kind of weak distraction that feels good for those who want to demonize, but is harmful to the debate that needs to occur in a democracy.

That debate is about how we examine the important questions of our time. Methodology is important. The arguments in this book only meet the standards of Creation Science...and it requires the already-converted to follow them.

Summary: 9/11 Not Only Changed The World, It Changed Our Government!
Review: The recent rigged U.S. presidential election, is a clear indication that the ballot is no longer respected. Perhaps more Americans will now, wake up to the dangerous changes our government has undergone, since 9/11. We now have unprovoked wars of aggression in Iraq, and Afghanistan, our armed forces have been pushed to the limit, with thousands maimed, and dying, in these Vietnam repeats. Citizens exercising first amendment rights of peaceful protest, are now routinely thrown into jail, at Bush public events! The Bush whitehouse is busy consolidating it's power over all branches of the federal government. In effect, the U.S. now has a one-party dictatorship, with Bush doing his best imitation of 'Fearless Leader'. All of this has taken place because of 9/11, and the Bush administration's supposed efforts to protect us from 'the terrorists'.

Now I don't know about you, but this just seems a bit too fishy for me. While we all seek to support our nation in time of war, this doesn't by any means, require us to become unthinking automatons, or absolve us of the responsibility to protect both our constitution, and the hard earned liberties it enshrines. Afterall, this is supposed to be America, land of the free, and home of the brave, remember? Have we instead become America, the land of the dumb, and home of the scared? After the original Pearl Harbor attacks, FDR said,"We have nothing to fear but fear itself." By contrast, after the 9/11 attacks, we have the Bush administration telling us to be afraid, very afraid! Whose side are they on?

We must deal with the issue of 9/11 realistically. Was it a foreign terrorist attack as we have been told, or was it actually a murderous government assault upon the populace, intended to scare people, into willingly giving up their constitutional rights? The sarcastically named patriot act I, takes away most of our rights. Patriot act II, will take away them all! Congress was scared into passing patriot act I, by a mysterious antrax attack. The antrax was U.S. government issue! Can you see the pattern now? The Bush whitehouse's actions before, during, and after, 9/11, indicate complicity in the attacks. Warned of iminent attack, they did nothing to prevent them, notified of attacks in progress, they did nothing to halt them. Pressed to investigate after the attacks, they fought tooth, and nail, to block any, and all, inquiries! What were they trying to hide? The fact of the matter is, the government's account of what occurred on 9/11 doesn't add up. This also applies to the so-called 'war on terror'. Both are obviously frauds, intended to conceal serious crimes against the nation, and the world! Lest we forget watergate, the president is never above suspicion, whenever high crimes are committed on his watch!

Enter David Griffin's 'The New Pearl Harbor'. This book is a serious attempt by a respected scholar to come to grips with the glaring descrepancies between the official account of 9/11, and the actual facts of the case. For this reason alone, it is a valuable work, that should be widely read. Understanding the truth of the 9/11 attacks is vitally important due to the post 9/11, government assault upon freedom. The overthrow of constitutional checks and balances, by ideological politics, and blatant corruption, are sure signs, that the federal government is now in the hands of criminals. With patriot act I and II, the survival of the constitution, is now at stake. It is not unheard of, for criminals in high office, to use terrorism to scare the people, and seize dictatorial power. It has been done before, and it appears to be happening now in the U.S. Yet most Americans seem too misguided, to see this. 'The New Pearl Harbor' is great way to began to see 9/11 for what it was.

Review: For many years to come, people will keep on asking the question "where were you on 9/11?" and many people will be sure to give a chronological account of what they did on September 11th, 2001.
David Ray Griffin's extraordinary book "The new pearl harbor" gives the readers an insight into what has never been thought about by civilians, and what he thinks is being hidden, and indeed, does provide us with "disturbing questions" about the Bush Administration and 9/11.
"The new pearl harbor" is persistently persuasive. It challenges the ideology, the myths, and the "facts" that Government officials have passed on to the nation. It makes people wonder if in fact the events leading to the 9/11 tragedies happened as we are told.
The book is broken down into three different parts:

Part One (The Events)
Griffin breaks down and critics the "official account" and provides an insight on the standard procedures for dealing with hijacked planes, and the discrepancy in the reports coming from FAA, NMCC and NORAD, and the looks at the questions raised by President Bush's behavior. He examines the events that took place with in Flights 11, 175, 77 and 93.
Part Two (The larger Context)
This chapter exemplifies Kenneth Waltz's ideology of Internal Structure of States. He questions the competence of the Bush Administration in dealing with the preliminary events that took place before 9/11.
Part Three (Conclusion)
Argues that in fact the bush administration did nothing to prevent the attacks. He concludes with saying that, "there is something fishy" with the official reports. Government officials failed to provide the 9/11 council with all they ask for. And gives reasons to believe that US officials are compliances of the attacks of 9/11.

Summary: A Great Way To Break The Hold of 9\11 Groupthink!
Review: With little more than the word of the Bush administration to go on, Americans were told that the tragic events of 9/11 was solely the work of foreign terrorists wielding box cutters. Due to the traumatic nature of the 9/11 attacks, people at the time, were ready to believe just about anything. After three years however, the official story of 9/11 doesn't standup to serious scrutiny.

As the government tells it, the official 9/11 story, is a tale more suited to the twilight zone, than to real life. Under the influence of groupthink, the 'truth' is often what people believe it to be, rather than what acutally occurs. For many therefore, it makes no difference that the laws of physics, and well established U.S. government operating procedures, were somehow suspended on that fateful day. If we are to believe the official story, mighty skyscrapers were brought down by mere kerosene fires, thousands of career government employees, simultaneously forgot how to do their jobs, and flight student terrorists, miraculously acquired flying skills rivaling those of a jetliner's onboard computer! Only the power of groupthink continues to bind people to this obvious fiction.

David Griffin's, 'The New Pearl Harbor' is a great way to breakout of the herd mentality, and actually look at the 9/11 tragedy, in light of the actual evidence of the case. Quite a switch from unquestionedly accepting the Bush administration's account. Griffin uses the findings of key 9/11 civilian researchers to cast serious doubt on the official government story of 9/11. Griffin asks the tough questions, and challenges the reader to consider the possibility of government complicity to explain this national tragedy. In four years the Bush administration has given us, the Plame affair, Iraqgate, spygate, votergate etc., all scandals worthy of criminal prosecutions, arising from the Bush administration's propensity to lie, with utter disdain for the American people, and the world! The official story of 9/11 turns out to be the lie, that started it all!

Review: Even a critic of the Bush administration would be reluctant to credit conspiracy theories in the wake of 9/11, and yet something strangely nagging always stood in the background: this was too good to be true for what turned out to be the major beneficiaries, the government itself. Given the flood of Internet confusion on this score, however, one soon dismissed the thought. Yet now a reputable author comes up with a documented, if still inconclusive, summary of the main evidence of 'suspected complicity', a term the author carefully analyzes for its spectrum of meanings. Even if you disagree you should agree to the need for an open file here, an investigation to get to the bottom of the current discrepancies of evidence. Personally, I can take it no further than that, since the resources and means to pursue such an issue are considerable.
And as the author points this kind of situation is by no means unprecedented. Not by a long shot. We have the known record of the Spanish-American war, the case of Pearl Harbor, the Tonkin Gulf resolution, and other episodes of stealth deception at the absolute rock bottom criminal level on the part of the American government.
So the case is tabled.
