Summary: A chronicle of encroaching tyranny.
Review: This is a well-written book in which the author looks at many aspects of a nation (U.S.A) and shows just how far we are down the slope on "the toboggan ride to tyranny." This isn't a standard left/right what's-wrong-with-America tract - this is what reporting used to be like...a la H. L. Mencken. There is an adjective used often in hard science that applies directly to this great book and that word is "adiabatic", as in "adiabatic tyranny." It means changing a system very slowly while carrying out an experiment. In this case, the experiment basically started around 1912 as Mr. Suprynowicz writes in his book. And Mr. Suprynowicz is the observer of that experiment and records his observations here. This is a great book to give to those who look at you funny when you mention Waco and jack-booted government thugs in the same breath...or you use 'victim disarmament' instead of 'gun control'...or you use 'mandatory government youth propaganda camps' in place of public schools.

Summary: Ignore the title, read this book!
Review: This is an outstanding collection of essays on our present state of liberty (or the lack thereof). They are often as entertaining as they are thought-provoking. At first, I was unsure about the book because of its title (I'm not a government conspiracy, "black helicopter" kind of guy) but my apprehension was quickly dispelled in the first chapter; this is definitely a book worth owning, reading, and buying many more copies to give to any friends who still have a pulse and a brain to think with!

Summary: Buy two copies. It's that good.
Review: Vin Suprynowicz in "Send in the Waco Killers" exposes many of the establishment's pet ideas as frauds, as unconstitutional, as immoral and illogical. He also does it with a style, a readability and a sense of humor that makes him a modern day Mencken. I've long enjoyed Vin's no nonsense approach, and his ability to smash the hollow arguments of statists with wit, logic, and occasionally, well-deserved scorn.

"Send in the Waco Killers" deals mostly with subjects other than Waco: the war on drugs; public schools; jury selection; gun control; etc. To be sure, Vin discusses Waco and its aftermath, and draws some conclusions from that tragedy that do not bode well for freedom.

For anyone interested in a view of the current political landscape unfiltered by the national news media, "Send in the Waco Killers" provides a refreshingly different perspective: it shows government does not have solutions to all our problems, and that, in fact, government itself might be the cause.

Summary: Powerful, moving -- and scary
Review: Vin Suprynowicz is a fabulous writer. He uses words like a construction tool, like a weapon. He says things almost no other syndicated columnist has the courage -- or knowledge -- to say. In this book, he has compiled some of his columns with added editorial content to make everything up to date, at least as of the printing, and he offers some constructive courses of action. His point is the obvious one: We have had our liberties taken one by one, slowly, over a time; but we can take them back. Vin is more than a theorist, though he is obviously a deep thinker; he knows we can be free again and his book ought to be read by everybody who cares.

Summary: Dear Bill, It's the constitution, stupid...
Review: Vin Suprynowicz is a national treasure - and this book is vintage Vin. If you haven't yet procured this book - I suggest you buy two copies and save on shipping (you won't want to part with yours and you will feel the need to give a copy to AT LEAST one other person...). To all who understand what freedom is and value it above all else - you could not ask for a better spokesman than Vin. For those who do not yet understand (or have forgotten), you could not ask for a better teacher.

Summary: One of the most powerful books ever written!
Review: Vin Suprynowicz is a real American hero who reminds us of the way it used to be when some other American heroes graced this earth-you know-Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Henry, Franklin and Mason. He pulls no punches and tells it like it is. He supports all of his arguments very well with some funny things called-facts. As a retired detective I found what Vin wrote about law enfocement (the feds in particular) to be extremely accurate (and some of the law enforcement responses to his published articles have made me embarassed to be associated with that field). If I was to suggest one book to read about freedom-and how important it is not to lose it (or surrender it) completely-I would suggest this book. No hesitation. Vin's print articles have changed the way I think about many issues-including politics and liberty. He is one of those rare individuals who can write something that stirs the emotions. His writing has not only changed my thinking, it has moved me emotionally. But don't take my word for it. Read the book for yourself. If you are a critical thinker, this volume may transform your entire way of thinking, and therefore, your life. It may also help us to regain our freedoms. And without freedom, we are all slaves. Thanks Vin.

Summary: The definitive defense of individual liberty
Review: Vin Suprynowicz's "Send in the Waco Killers" provides a crystal clear defense of individual liberty. He details the benefits of freedom, and demonstrates how excess, anti-Constitutional government actually hurts us every day.

His chapter on subjecting politicians and law enforcers to a random and daily dose of one of our nation's currently illegal drugs ought to be required reading in every police academy. If our government is going to have the authority to decide what states of consciousness we are to be permitted to enjoy, then perhaps it would be poetic justice to subject those who create and enforce our morally, legally, and historically indefensible War on Drugs to states of consciousness not of THEIR choosing.

After all, in denying a drug user the ability to purchase and consume the drug of their choice, these same government agents are forcing that person into a state of consciousness that the drug user clearly would not prefer.

Like a white knight surrounded by the enemy, "Send in the Waco Killers" offers no compromise. It places the virtue of liberty before the reader and dares the reader to re-discover the joyous passion for freedom enjoyed by our founding fathers.

After reading this book, read your copy of our Constitution, and start wondering how our government gets away with destroying our nation.

Government is the problem. Freedom is the solution.

Freedom works, each and every time it is tried.

Summary: No one says it better than Vin
Review: Vin's combination of clarity and passion is unmatched. No one cries more eloquently for freedom in a world that is being devoured by tryanny. No one makes the radical, hardcore freedom viewpoint seem more self-evidently sensible. Thank heaven for Vin.

Summary: Libertarian Bible for the 21st cenutry!
Review: While writing from a Libertarian and non-religious perspective, Vin takes us across the gamut of current attitudes and the hopes and aspirations of self-sufficient, liberty minded, and responsible persons everywhere. Vin really nails it as to the virus and bacteria infection that holds this land in an ever tightening grip as it chokes our very lives. What kind of virus is this?

1. The Public School. 1.6 Billion dollars later a Kansas City School still cant stop truancy and raise test scores. Vin finally says what many have screamed from years, that you cant fix the public school system because its ALREADY WORKING. Vin give you history of development of public schools, statistics, and then contrasts a public school with home schoolers who are doing tremendously better, at a fraction of the cost, and in fact raises test scores and perfromance across all class, and racial lines!

2. Gun control. I dont even need to describe this canard.

3. Unaccountable Federal Agencies. Whether its the DEA, the INS or even the Farm bureau, the activities of various 'protectors of independance', who used to leave us sorely disappointed, but who know take family farms and get people killed.

4. Restriction of Jury Trials and the rights of jurors to be fully informed of their 1200 year old right to judge not only the facts of the case, but also the law!

5. A lapdog press that does whatever a corporate or government interest dictates. This is why more and more Americans read European newspapers or otherwise use the internet to get the real news. Vin documents the attitude of the press and gives personal experiences with getting his own column published. You need to read Vin's article on the press to fully appreciate the fog let off with the current Iraq situation.

Now all of the above problems are such that they can be solved with the ballot box, and appropriate education. That is why this book is important. When the public propaganda school system is dismantled by default, when the jurisdictions of various government agencies are curtailed by consisten not guilty verdicts by fully informed juries excercising their rights to nullify the law, this apocolyptic revolution that every right wing crackpot spouts as being inevitable will never occur, thank God. ...
