Rating: Summary: A gripping story Review: Yes, the author is a real person, and her name has been out in the open for some time now. And she stands behind what she's written. It is an exciting narrative which keeps one's interest throughout.
Most people in America truly enjoy the benefits of living in this country. A few, however, are terrorists or inciters for terrorism and have it both ways: they enjoy the American way of life while they try to destroy it. And the author is definitely performing a heroic service to everyone by opposing such folks and warning us about them.
The author shows something of the surprising and annoying extent to which some Muslim "charities" have actually been mere fronts for terror. Even more annoying is the amount of time it has taken to round up well-known terrorist leaders, such as Sami al-Arian. The author explains some of the reasons why such people have been left at large for so long after their guilt has become apparent.
I recommend this book for everyone. Terrorism and incitement are problems for us all. The more we become aware of which groups are actually terrorist fronts, the better.
Rating: Summary: Terrorist Hunter Review: Extremely informative. It exposes scary facts about the Islamic Charity organizations operating in the U.S. and points the finger at the FBI for not doing what needs to be done to eliminate the threat we are living with.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know what is actually happenning behind the Islamic terrorist scene.
Rating: Summary: A perspective of a Israeli-American Review:
This is a good book that all should read.
Granted, "anonymous" (which has been exposed since) is one sided and generalizes a lot, she dose not give any insight into the true roots of terror and Islamic hatred towards the west, but it is not intended to do so. However this book raises three very important points:
1. The official leaders of Islam today together with the dictators of the Arab world are the true monsters; they are the ones that perpetuate the Arab suffering and radical Islamic teachings that feed terror. Islam has got onto a very wrong path, a radicalism that has transformed it into a bloodthirsty domination hungry animal, so much so that even Muslims in the west are radicalized. Although the U.S has been far from "innocent" the true cause for this hate is NOT U.S actions. Islamic reform is urgently needed but sadly, although help can be given, this can only be done from within, no external power can cause it to happen...
2. The U.S government (like any other government) is EXTREMELY incompetent, a whistle blower is needed to give the system a good shake, which is exactly what this book does.
3. One of the best ways to diminish the terrorist threat to a minimum, until some basic change is achieved, is to dry up funding, this must be a priority.
All in all a very good and informative read, especially for Americans that do not know what is lurking under the illusion of a clam and progressive American Muslim community, and how harmful the radicals in this community might be for the U.S ...
I pray that the moderates overcome the radicals, especially in Islam, but also in Christianity and Judaism....
Rating: Summary: A brave and valuable resource in the war on terrorism Review: Anonymous grew up as an Iraqi Jew. She is fluent in the language and culture of the Islamic terrorists while still having the perspective of a civilized supporter of democracy and freedom. She grew up in Iraq, escaped with the remains of her family to Israel, and settled in the United States. She continues to apply her background and incisive intelligence to understanding, explaining and forecasting the actions of terrorists. You can see how difficult that is by viewing an Islamic extremist website. You probably cannot read a single word or even understand a single letter of the alphabet. Imagine yourself at one of the frequent Islamic extremist meetings held at hotels and public places in the U.S.A. You will probably not understand a word since they will almost all be in Arabic. Anonymous is a brave and valuable resource in the war on terror. User her.
Rating: Summary: ONLY AVAILABLE IN US - RIDICULOUS !!!!! Review: While the beginning of the book is all about the author and her early life, the portrait of terror she paints in the rest of the book reaches all over the globe. Yes, she takes a lot of credit, and is free with criticism of different fed agencies, she is very generous in doling out praise and credit where warranted. That terror networks are interlinked shouldn't be a surprise, but it is. That money is being laundered to help attain the goals of terrorists is something we as a country have just recently become aware of, sadly enough. If nothing else, this book reaffirms my concern that the USA needs to investigate Saudi Arabia's role in this. While being our 'friend', they are drawing a knife across our throats, as amply described in detail in this book.
Rating: Summary: RUDE AWAKENING Review: The moral of this book is; that a civilian with intimate familiarity with the culture can ferret out clues better than numerous Government trained anti-terrorist agents can. The author researched public documentation to provide evidence of the money trail from some quasi-charities to fund Islamic terrorist groups. The author's point is that there is plenty of information that can be gleaned from public records that is not being noticed. If the info. was effectively utilized, it would provide greater protection by shutting off a source of funding. The author was originally a young girl from an Iraqi Jewish family, whose father was accused on spying for Israel and executed. Her family fled Iraq, and she eventually made her way to New York City. The author's knowledge of Arabic, chutzpah in infiltrating Islamic fundraisers and extensively researching public records has resulted in a vast database. One constant theme throughout the latter half of the book is her low esteem of the anti-terrorist measures being taken by the U.S. government. The author's main target is the FBI, which is portrayed as being inept. One hopes the author is mistaken, but since the U.S government does not shed any light on this, it is a one-sided view, but a view supported by many examples of what appear to be mistakes and oversights. A very interesting book and an easy read that also provides food for thought.
