Summary: Don't have to be a "Liberal" to spot a self-hater
Review: And Michelle Malkin is just that.

I really believe that she has deluded herself into thinking she is a blonde WASP (like her fellow hater, Ann Coulter). The woman is the daughter of Filipino immigrants but she would deny others what her family was permitted.

Something is wrong here.

Summary: Malkin is right -- we are ALL terrorists
Review: In this brilliant book, Michelle Malkin makes the point that we are all invaders She acknowledges that we are all illegal immigrants, alients, criminals, and terrorists. And she is right about another thing, too. We should send ourselves back to where we came from. I wish other people thought as clearly as Malkin and realized that it is not all about "liberal" and "conservative".

Summary: Good work, Michelle. Like you say - we should kick 'em out!
Review: A robin whistles in a thicket. Down by the Cafe of the Two Bridges a decrepit goat gnaws on an old wooden steamshovel. Whispers emanate from the fog over the stream, "Michelle, Michelle, passez mois le Ciling Labuyo". And what a canard it was! Farmer Jeffers hosting his son-in-law, recently extradited from Luxembourg for enaging in the sale of contraband Gideon's Bibles! Yet that wasn't the cause. No... no.... it wasn't.

Summary: An easy way to make money
Review: This book does not offer anything new. Instead of buying it just watch Bill O'reilly, and you will find there plenty of attacks towards inmmigrants. What it came to my mind while reading it is why she does not mention the illegal ways people from the philippines come to the US?. Wait because she would not be here in the first place.

Summary: Deserves not praise nor criticism - R better books on topic
Review: There's no better place in the world for meat, conversation, and good old friendship." -Whoopi Goldberg advance praise for prime time: "Grilling is my favorite way of cooking (except for deep-frying, of course, but that's another story) and I've done a lot of it over the years-but Prime Time taught me lots and reassured me plenty and introduced me to some marinating tricks I'd never thought of." -Colman Andrews, Editor, Saveur "For generations, the Lobel brothers have been New York's preferred meat purveyors and trusted authorities to the carriage trade, with a staunch following among the city's top hosts, caterers, and chefs. Now, with the tell-all publication of Prime Time, the Lobels make it possible for any literate carnivore to reach master status at the grill, whether one is in the mood for the best of all classic burgers or grilled meat loaf or more cosmopolitan main events such as Fiery Asian-Style Pork Loin Roast with Salsa or Honey Mustard Chicken Kabobs. Fire up!" -Michael & Ariane Batterberry, Founding Editors of Food Arts and Food & Wine magazines "One of the best reasons I can think of for staying home is to cook myself a steak from Lobel's. The quality is always great. They are among the nicest institutions on the East Side, and it's fun to see a bunch of guys waving butcher knives at me every time I pass their window.

Summary: An okay but not superb work by Malkin
Review: Michelle Malkin, tireless chronicler of Filipina-immigre malaise, simultaneously sums up and transcends her previous oeuvre with this, her masterwork. "Invasion" recalls the work of Herman Hreidarsson and Chauncey Bledsoe III, but more fearless and with a keener eye for social detail. Prize juries on two continents are taking notice.

Densmario, eldest son of a deceptively "normal" illegal immigrant family, collapses at a rave, victim of an excess of Ecstasy. As he lies comatose in the hospital, clinging precariously to life, his family's facade of tranquility crumbles.

Auditors notice his father Romulio's financial improprieties, motivated by enormous gambling debts that until now had been secret. Shattered, he shuffles around the house and waits to be taken away to jail, highball glass perpetually in hand. The mother, Angeles, spends hours a day scrubbing the same kitchen countertop. Her degrading affair with a local TV newsman is an open secret, provoking schoolyard taunts at the younger children.

Little brother Manuelcito is a mute bundle of suppressed rage, revealed only when a gun clatters out of his backpack onto the school hallway floor. In one pivotal scene, Romulio tells daughter Andresa that their credit cards have all been cancelled. Andresa - a superficial, self-obsessed spending machine - screams that he's never really been a man, and could never satisfy Angeles. Enraged, Romulito slaps Andresa, who flees the house and takes a bus to Stockton. Manuelcito sits hidden, watching the whole scene and fondling his gun.

During Densmario's coma, Jovito, the baby of the family, goes days at a time without speaking or eating. Hardly anyone notices.

I don't want to reveal too much, but the searing denouement leaves the family forever broken. Densmario awakens to find that the family he knew is gone. Stunned, staring into the wreckage of his life, he muses: "I guess I knew it all along. The rot was always there, the creeping decay, painted and tiled over so that you never saw it until the whole structure collapsed...in a way, we are ALL invaders, criminals, terrorists, foreign menaces...."

No wonder Malkin wants to send all immigrants back to the Philippines.

Summary: Emperor has no clothes
Review: I thank Miss Malkin for writing this book and for showing the obvious truth that no nation can survive if it doesn't protect its borders from mass invasion.

Miss Malkin helps the immigration reform movement because she disproves the lie that it is only evil, hateful, Right Wing Conservative Whites that favor any immigration control.

All Americans of all racial and ethnic backgrounds who believe in the rule of law and want some stability in American should favor enforcing laws against illegal immigration.

9/11/01 should have been the ultimate proof that our immigration system is killing America, yet here were are 2 years later and a supposedly Conservative Republic President is pushing full amnesty for 16 million plus illegals in this country, with the idea that once they are made "Americans" - they will be allowed to bring in all of their relatives.

I used to be a Conservative Republican - but having worked for immigration reform, I understand that both parties are totally corrupt at the top.

I would strongly support an American leader like Pym Fortuyn the gay, ex Marxist murdered Dutch Political leader who dared to speak the truth that Western freedoms and prosperity can not survive unrestricted immigration, especially immigration of Islamic extremists.

Thank you Miss Malkin. Too bad George Dubya Bush didn't read your book or read mush of anything.

God help our country.

Summary: Educate yourself with our country's issues
Review: This book is one of many books I have started to read in order to learn more about the issues "we" as a nation have to face. I am also reading Terrorist Hunter by Rita Katz, as anonymous. We should as American citizens, research issues that threaten our national security. But, we say, who has time for that? True. Our "free" life in this country allows us to put each other down and that in itself, becomes another issue. There is no "We the people". If you don't want to buy the book, look at our "free" library system and request the book or check it out and take the time to read it.

Summary: A Prophet is Without Honor in Her Own Country
Review: I saw Michelle Malkin on C-Span discussing this book and the immigration problems of the US and was instantly fascinated. She made a clear, concise case on C-Span for the fact that America's immigration policies are in drastic need of reform.

The book itself is concise and well-written, and easy to read. It is obvious that Malkin knows her topic. I was both fascinated and disturbed at the same time.

The negative reviews of this book prove that a prophet is without honor in her own country.

If even half of the assertions Malkin makes in the book are accurate, America has a problem. The Angel Resendiz case alone makes the case that the US's immigration system needs a massive overhaul. This is not a topic we can just dismiss as unimportant. How many more Angel Resendiz's or Islamic terrorists do we have to endure, how many more innocent victims have to be sacrificed, before America wakes up?

Summary: nonsense shrieking and hysteria
Review: This is a thrown together piece of trash full of lunatic Right-Wing shrieking and hysteria. You can see Malkin shrieking on Fox News and alongside leering Pat Robertson on his CBN program, so you dont need to bother buying this third-rate drivel, masking as journalism.
It isnt even a book, it is just a collection of anecdotes and lists with a lot of pontificating thrown in. Malkin, with nose closely attached to O'Reilly of Fox News, insists we should militarize the border. What we do then, she doesnt conjecture: do we launch artillery into Mexico, do we shoot at moose on the Canadian border? Do we invade Mexico?
She also blasts every American agency responsible for security, then irrationally, argues we should add FIFTY THOUSAND MORE BORDER PATROL, TRAINED BY THE SAME AGENCIES SHE CALLS INCOMPETENT!
Besides having no balance in the discussion, there is no mention of the positive contributions of immigrants.
