Summary: Absolute Drivel and Complete Propaganda
Review: This book was written by one of a group of revisionist historians who seek to change history by making numerous allegations and claims without supporting themselves with facts or research. Their goals as authors are more political than historical. This book is mostly a collection of conspiracy theories that claim to "prove" that the Jewish people are evil monsters without providing evidence to support those points. Here are some of the allegations of "The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians" as well as refutations of those claims: - ALLEGATION: That 20,000 civilians were slaughtered by the Israeli armed forces in Beirut, Lebanon in 1982 on orders of Ariel Sharon:

- Lebanese fighters (not Israeli soldiers) loosely allied with Israel committed the Sabra and Shatilla refugee camp massacres and under legal review recognized by national judiciaries the world over, Sharon was declared negligent but not responsible for those massacres. Evidence now points out that a Syrian spy set the Lebanese forces against Palestinian refugees (and terrorists hiding among them) at Sabra and Shatilla.

- While it is true that many people were killed in combat between Jewish Stern and Irgun forces, increasing amounts of evidence point out that the people were not civilians or noncombatants. While some of the victims were not adult males, but were women and children, the whole village had been supporting Muslim soldiers. Under international law, such people are fair targets of war. Residents of the village had been sniping at Jewish food convoys to Jerusalem and Muslim rebels had sited a mortar in the village that fired at Jerusalem and Israeli food convoys heading towards it.
- Regardless of responsibility, the Israeli government condemned any attacks on women or children and the Stern and Irgun groups were both declared illegal and disbanded. This stands in stark contrast to the public encouragement of "shaheeds" (martyrs or genocide-bombers) that the majority of Palestinian-Arab society condones.

- On Friday, February 25, Dr. Baruch Goldstein of Kiryat Arba near Hebron enter the Tomb of Patriarchs (Machpela Cave) in Hebron and began to fire into a crowd of Muslims with his automatic rifle, killing twenty-nine and wounding many others.
- Israeli Jews in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank) as well as Gaza immediately expressed their unequivocal condemnation of the attack and expressed their condolences to the victims. This stands in stark contrast to the public encouragement of "shaheeds" (martyrs or genocide-bombers) that the majority of Palestinian-Arab society condones.

- Since 1948, the Arab population in Israel has increased in size from 160,000 to more than 1.2 million today. Arab women vote in Israel, something they do nowhere else in the Middle East. Not only that, but the Israeli government gives more aid to the Palestinian-Arab refugees than all but one or two of the larger Arab governments.
- Rather, evidence points out that Arab governments have long been killing and oppressing the Arab Jews of the Middle East whose communities were destroyed. A large body of literature supports these claims.

- The US government is controlled by the people of the USA as expressed through the President and Congress. Lobbying is a legal practice (within limits, of course) in the USA and while pro-Israeli lobbies have been more effective at arguing their point of view than Arab lobbies, they do not "control" the US government. Rather increasingly, Arab-American lobbies and organizations like CAIR are becoming more effective at convincing congressmen and other politicians of their cause.

- FALSE:
- Israel's official religions are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. All of the churches and other places of worship in Israel are respected by the Israeli government. There are large Christian communities all over Israel. This starkly contrasts with the majority of Arab countries where it is actually illegal to be anything but Muslim. The Christian communities in Judea, Samaria (also known as the West Bank) have been shrinking since the Israeli government turned over control to the Palestinian Authority. The majority of Palestinian Christians in these areas are emigrating and many have written of oppression by Muslim radicals.

Summary: Orwellian
Review: This book equates war-privations with the systematic murder of 6 million children, women, and men. It does not prove any of its allegations for the simple reason that they have been Disproved --in at least one case in a New York Court of Law (a detail this book omits). It never mentions any of the conclusions reached in any of the inquiries held (in different countries) about many of the incidents it portrays here. Nor, does it even mention what Palestinians say about all this. It does not, for example, mention the plight of Palestinians like Raja Shehadeh who are marked men because they truly want peace. But that is not surprising--for in this book purportedly about the Palestinians the Palestinian voice is remarkably absent. The Palestinians are never asked and their esponses are never recorded. We know what the authors think the Palestinians' plight is; we do not, however, have any idea what the Palestinians themselves think. For those truly interested in what is happening in the Territories from a Palestinian perspective, I would highly recommend Strangers in the House: Coming of Age in Occupied Palestine instead.

Summary: The gutwrenching truth of being a Palestinian
Review: An empathic view of the Palestinian plight. Can you place yourself in THEIR shoes? Can you walk a mile for the Palestinians by reading this book or would you rather just stop your ears and close your eyes? Are they to be allowed any humanity whatsoever or are they just unreasoning brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed?
Mr. Hoffman exposes the HORROR of being a Palestinian.
Read this book. It may help prevent you from committing the most grievous sin, PRIDE.

Summary: HONEST AND DEEPLY MOVING
Review: AS A JEW AND A STUDENT OF MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES, I FOUND THIS BOOK TO BE ACCURATE AS WELL A MOVING. SADLY, TOO MANY JEWS FOCUS ONLY ON THE ISRAELI SUFFERING AND COMPLETELY IGNORE THE WEAK AND POWERLESS PALESTINIANS WHO SUFFER FAR MORE. IT IS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRULY UNDERSTAND THE CONFLICT AND WHY THE ARABS FEEL SO ANGRY WITH THE U.S. AND ISRAEL. WE CAN NOT STICK OUR HEADS IN THE SAND ANY LONGER, THIS PROBLEM WILL NOT JUST GO AWAY. WORTH THE [money]!!

Summary: Honest, and Reliable by Two Wonderful People Who Are Jewish
Review: This book uncover the media spin and propaganda that the Israeli lobby and Israeli sympethizers work so hard to feed the public. It covers the level of hatred and racism that the Palestinians face. It disscusses in detail the policies which descriminates against the Palestinians and favors only the Jews in Israel. It explains how the Israelis massacred and stole the lands of millions of Palesinans.

Summary: Pure Propaganda, offered without evidence
Review: This 110-page missive offers the reader nothing in the way of a deeper understanding of the complexities of the Israeli-Arab conflict. Instead, the authors heap every manner of propaganda on the reader, throwing any charge they can think of in the hope that something will stick. In one of the classic techniques of propaganda writing, the authors latch onto minority held opinions offering them as if they were normative and outright ignore many of the most important facts of the conflict. Nor do they focus purely on politics, for this would not serve their larger agenda. Indeed, a major part of their focus seems to be a broad-sided indictment of the Jewish faith itself. As for the charges offered, many are ludicrous, offered without even a shred of evidence. The United Nations puts Israel under a microscope and Arab sheiks spend a fortune to popularize any Israeli misdeed. Can anyone really believe that Israel is destroying Christian churches without the world noticing? Far from it. Neither the Catholic Church nor any Protestant denomination has ever made this charge for the simple reason that it is not true. These ?authors? rely on their readers ignorance and gullibility when they publish such false accusations without even a shred of evidence. The authors wholly ignore the ten year old peace process and dismiss without much consideration Israel?s offer of a Palestinian state in all of Gaza and 95% if the West Bank with a shared Jerusalem. As for the idea of Israel having a right to exist and Israeli civilians rights not be victims of Palestinian terror, these issues are never even for a moment considered. Nor is any attention paid for the Palestinians responsibility for many of their own problems. The failure to set up strong institutions and inability to compromise as well as the rampant corruption of the Palestinians authoritarian regime is similarly never considered. Palestinian society celebrates suicide bombers as heroes, much to the detriment of their children, but these authors are only concerned with leveling false charges at the Middle East?s only democracy. Interested readers should look elsewhere.

Summary: Are ALL These Journalists & Israeli Brass Lying?
Review: Stunning, documented look at the "occupation" and terror inflicted by the Israeli command against Palestinians. In this book the authors quote Israeli military leaders & international journalists to expose the true side of what really is happening in the Mid East. Information supplied in this book has largely been censored out of all media in the United States, hold a blurb or two. But to readers of papers from other countries, it's a compilation of the news you knew all along. Tracing the history of the conflict, the reader will read the names of towns forever wiped off the map during the Israeli "war" of 1948. The reader will be horrified at what conditions are like under continual curfew, or having the town's Hall of Records be intentionally destroyed to commit choas amongst the Palestinian population. How "suspects" are continually arrested/murdered, and there is no international outcry from, what would be described elsewhere, ethnic cleansing. You'll read the "Right of return", and how it doesn't apply to the people living there thousands of years. All in all, this is a must read. You'll be called an "anti-Semitie" for reading the words of these journalists and Israeli military personnel, but you'll be informed as the rest of the world (hold Americans)are. And calling a governemnt barbaric doesn't mean you're racist.

Summary: A must read for all (specially Americans)
Review: This book reveals the side of Israelis known to poeple of the Middle East and Europe, the atrocities and civil crimes committed on civilians.
Unfortunately, the US media tried its best to hide this criminal side from the public and portrayed the Israelis as peace doves. This book contains evidence and proves that can only point to one perpetrator, the Israeli side.
This book proves other reports and works done by very credible reporters and writers like John Pilger's "Palestine is still the issue".

Summary: Groundwork for Legal Charges of Crimes Against Humanity
Review: This book had two main objectives. First, to rally the general public against the slow motion genocide of the Palestinians. Secondly, this book establishes a basis for future war crime trials against the soldiers, Army commanders, and Israeli/U.S. politicians who have facilitated these crimes against humanity. It is interesting that the authors generously provide George Bush Jr. with his only legal defense in the next to last paragraph of the book; i.e., President Bush is not responsible for his actions because he is acting under duress, his Zionist handlers will assassinate him if he disobeys orders. Much of the book is a catalog of Israeli war crimes committed during March-April 2002. Reading this catalog of war crimes set my teeth on edge and depressed me so much that the book was difficult to read....The authors think their book may launch a ground swell of revulsion about what is being done to the Palestinians. This seems an almost naive hope to me. The sheeple in the U.S. and Europe are too well indoctrinated and the politicians too well bribed or paid off for anything to happen soon. However, this book will help facilitate a war crimes trial in the future.

Review: This tome covers the topic of the Israel question like no other. It opened my eyes to the horror that we Americans have funded one of the most brutal fascist regime on Earth.
