Summary: A Wrinkle In Time
Review: This is a story of three children: Meg Murry, her younger brother Charles Wallace, and Calvin O'Keefe (a popular athlete at Meg's school). With the assistance of, Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit,three mysterious ladies, go on an adventure to find Meg's father. Who disappeared while exploring the tesseract-a wrinkle in time. The children travel to the planet Camazotz, with the help of the three Mrs.W's. Here they encounter a zombie like population controlled by a disembodied brain IT. With the help of the three ladies and their gifts Meg explores the potentially destructive force of intelligence, and the power of human love to overcome this force. Charles Wallace is taken over by IT, and Meg finds that her love is the only thing to set him free. After this the three children and their father go home to be with the rest of the family.

Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: When my I first started reading this book I really thought it would be bad, but I was so wrong. I have to say the beginning is rather slow but once it gets into the action it is impossible to stop reading.The creativity in this book is totally amazing. It absolutely surpasses my imagination. Even if you don't like reading I would reccomend this book.

Summary: This is the absolute greatest book!!
Review: Madeleine L'Engle really expresses every bit of emotion and detail in this book excellently. Every character is described beautifully and this is deffinately a well crafted story. It's about a girl named Meq (high school age), two boys named Charles Wallace (5) and Kalvin (older than Meg), and three laidies Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which who all travel through time and space to save their father. This story is so beautiffully told i was stunned at its conclusion. Please read this book and put in a good reviev. It will be well worth the time spent!!

Review: How anyone could give this book less than 5 stars is beyond my comprehension. I first read this book when I was about 12 years old and I was enthralled! I've re-read it about a dozen times since then, every few years I pick up a copy. A classic book that never loses it's magic, this is a must-read for everyone!

Summary: Fairy Tale
Review: A fairy tale for the adult. As educating as Momo or The little prince, Madeleine L'Engle teaches us to think a little further than we usually do. This enchanting story of 3 kids traveling through space and time to find their lost father is written so real, one could expect it to happen any day, as long as you keep your eyes and mind open. I read it in one evening and could not put it down.

Summary: A book you will keep and read over and over forever !
Review: I was first given this dusty ... hardcovered book my Nanna in 1980. It had belonged to my uncle ,she said,who read it for school in around 1970. I took it home and put it on my bookshelf and didn't give it another thought until I had to read it for school in 1982. I picked it up one afternoon and never put it down again until I had finished reading the whole book(in the wee small hours of the next morning) It was fantastic! Madelaine was an amazing author. The way she wrote, you felt like you were there with the characters, experiencing what they were. Even now 21 years later, I still read my dusty ... hardcover book over and over again, at least once a year. I've even passed it onto my 10 year old son to read and he thinks it's awesome! Almost as good as 'Harry Potter'! Ha! Ha! If you get the chance read Madeline L'Engle's wonderful story of friendship and courage. A Wrinkle in Time is a timeless book for all ages!

Summary: A well explained book!!!
Review: I personally don't like space and time continuum books I think they're confusing. Everyone kept saying it was a good book so I got fed up with it and read it. And belive it or not I actually understood it!!!!! Read and see Charles Wallace and his sister go on a quest for their father. Along the way the meet the mysterious Mrs.Which Mrs.Who & Mrs.What and the dreadful absolutely, TERRIBLE IT.

Summary: An enduring adventure
Review: I read this at age 11, and I still have my copy almost 40 years later. This book is many things; a children's adventure story, the story of a family, the story of a young girl who is just coming into adolescence with all the awkwardness and confusing feelings, and an epic science fiction adventure. It's also the story of good versus evil. I am still amazed at the symbology L'Engel uses; a giant brain who seduces those around it into surrendering their free will as an ultimate dictator; a shadow like smog around planets denoting pure evil, and a special young boy who is more than a genius; who is "something new" who nonetheless can be tempted to imminent destruction by his own vanity. Wrinkle in Time has a lot of fertile subjects for discussions between parents and children about good, evil, how we treat each other, and the choices we make. I found it simply amazing as a child, and I still find it amazing as an adult.

Summary: A delightful book. A nice change from Harry Potter
Review: This is a wonderful book. I didn't know that it was a "children's book" until after I had finished reading it. The story is charming. The characters are interesting. It's an easy read. This is a good book if you are in between Harry Potter books. Truthfully, I enjoyed this book more than I did Harry Potter. I look forward to reading other books by this author.

Summary: Artfully written with wisdom and wit
Review: I read this book after turning 36 years old. So I guess that estranges me from the noramal 9-12 year old that it is intended for. Miss L'Engle will keep your children and yourself turning the pages long into the night. She adds suspense and a twist of humor that the kids might miss but the adults will chuckle.
