Rating: Summary: Read of a Lifetime Review: I discovered this book (and thus, L'Engle) in 5th grade and have read this tale every year since--I am now 27. Madeleine L'Engle is my all time favorite author--a genius at intelligently combining fantasy, science and every-day life into a remarkable and memorable story. She is, perhaps, the most talented writier of our lifetime. One book will make you hooked for life. The entire trilogy is a must have in your hardcover collection.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book for both children and adults Review: Madelein L'Engle is one of the best authors I know of. She is so creative and wonderful.!! She takes you to the wildest places you could ever dream of. I also think that her characters are wonderful, they are so real. I love all of her books, especially the Time Trilogy. I know I that I have many other compliments about Madelein L'Engle's books, I just can't express them all in words.
Rating: Summary: This is a horrible book Review: My mom had been convincing me to read this book for the past few years, and I finally agreed to read it. IT WAS HORRIBLE! I don't understand at all how some people like it. I think the plot is silly and the entire story is pointless.
Rating: Summary: a great book to get your mind alive. Review: I thought this book was great. Every minute I was on the edge of my seat, ready for the next adventure to come. I would reccomend this book to all people over the age of ten.
Rating: Summary: Interesting and very mind boggling Review: I am now reading this book in my 6th grade MSPAP class and at first I thought it was boring. But after reading several chapters I am now becoming very interested in the travels of the characters in this book. I would recommend this book to everyone. I had an assignment to write about an imaginary test drive. Then I had to recommend why the public should use this method of travel. After reading the story, I understood what to write about.
Rating: Summary: A good book, but by no means a favorite. Review: I first read this book when I was 7. ( I am a very advanced reader for my age.) I found it interesting, but not wonderful. I recently reread it at age 12 and still think of it as a book worth reading, but definitely not worth owning.
Rating: Summary: I think that this book is great for kids of all ages. Review: A Wrinkle in Time is a hard but fun book. Once I started to read the book I did not want to put it down. When I finished reading A Wrinkle in Time I wanted to read it a second time maybe even a third time after that.
Rating: Summary: My favourite kid's book of all time! Review: A beautiful book. It was first read to me in my grade 6 class by a great teacher. 35 years later I still treasure the book, the characters and the story. I didn't care for the sequels, but the original is still excellent.
Rating: Summary: This book was great!! Review: A Wrinkle in time is a very adventurous book because of all the neat places they had to go to. It was very descriptive and I could imagine being there with them. I don't like to read novels a lot, but this one wasn't boring at all. It was so interesting and I had to know what was going to happen at the end. Once I started reading, it was hard for me to stop becuase it was so good. The characters were very neat, especially the three so-called witches, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, etc. This novel was both funny and sad and it had a very good happy ending. This book is very easy to read even though some of the words were a bit confusing. It's a great book for all ages.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, imaginative book! Review: In A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin O'Keefe are whisked away into a horrifing, yet wonderful journey through time and space on a quest to overcome the evil powers of the "IT" and to recover Meg's long lost father. I would reccomend this book to someone who likes adventure, exitement, suspense, and a good fantasy. Read on!!!
