Rating: Summary: Some Kind Of Phenomenon... Review: Well, let me just begin with the fact that I never review any so-called 'self-help' book, let alone read them. But that is why I feel I must spread the word to the men out there who would rather be caught dead than be caught reading a book in that category: Gentlemen, this is definitely not self-help! AT LAST, something for our generation that is hip and not filled with all that...new-agey stuff. I am truly feeling this Self-Truth vibe. And that whole 'womanist' concept as well... all I can say is where do those women hang out?? I must admit that this book blew my mind. It definitely lives up to the hype. And that it really is a whole other thing than what is typically covered in this genre. This writer actually tackles topics such as religion, race, and sexuality with an astuteness I found very surprising. I look forward to seeing this book and author blow up. In fact, I would bet on it. This book and author are very original and the world is in real need of what this book Soulfire is. Would highly recommend it to both men and women.
