Rating: Summary: Every fact has been verified Review:
As a former Scientologist and staff member for five years, I can confidently state that, due to the Scientology propensity to sue all perceived attackers (indeed, it is their policy), EVERY word, EVERY sentence, EVERY fact in this book has been checked, double-checked, scrutinized in microscopic detail, and is absolutely true TO SCIENTOLOGY'S SATISFACTION. Anything and everything that can be disproved in a court of law will be viciously prosecuted by Scientologists as slander.
Scientology's lawyers have been through this book (and all others like it) with a fine-tooth comb, and cannot dispute a single detail. Their own vehemence for the "truth" convicts them by the very fact that this book is in print.
For the "one-star" reviewers - i.e. Scientologists - if you receive some benefits from this cult, great. Just realize WHAT you are dealing with. Don't believe everything they tell you, because as you probably know they lie for the "greater good." And the "greater good" can certainly include sucking little ol' you dry.
Bent Corydon is a hero and a brave man to go toe-to-toe with the enormous resources of the "Church" of Scientology.
He wins this fight with a knockout in the first round.
Rating: Summary: You said it. Review: About the book and the reviews. I'd be more than happy to share my thoughts with everyone here. If a psycho were to claim that the Christ, Budda or Mohammed were anything else then they really were, Everyone else would crusify him for saying such a thing. No, L. Ron Hubbard ISN'T GOD. As the author of the book claims. Nor a madman. The same goes for those who read it. The basis of criticism is, what has one done to another and/or kept secret from the one that was being harmed in some way at the time. Saying that Scientology and L.Ron Hubbard are a bad group, then what have you done wrong againist L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology? Plus what are you scared of revealing that you know, could get you into trouble? Because you know deep down that you did wrong, in order to publish and agree to read such a thing.
To future readers. Before ever considering to read this "wonderful" book Ask yourselves, "Would I like it if someone were talking bad about my religion? Would I read and agree to such BS about my! religion or whatever is being said to belittle the Lord in Heaven?" No. You wouldn't like it if someone out there discriminated your religious beliefs. No matter how truthful the person is, when claiming that Scientology is a cult or any other religion for that matter, is simply speaking out of fear of confessing their own past sins.
If you're asking for the book to read it for some proof, out of spectatorism perhaps, then read the newspaper articles about when New York really thanked Scientology and the scientologists for working their guts out to help those who were in peril on
9-11 at your local Church of Scientology or library. Before ever thinking about reading this.

Rating: Summary: MADMAN! Review: An excellent book for anyone who wishes to know what goes on inside $cientology, and just who L. Ron Hubbard really was. It has opened my eyes into just how much of a cult scientology really is. Read this book and then go to the scientology homepage and check it out for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Not serious Review: Author plays with fear and paranoia. Not serious. Fills the book with false evidences or partial facts. All tricks to sell more. What would you think of a book oriented in this way?
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Fleeces your Scamgrams away pronto! Review: Bent Corydon does an excellent job of revealing the utterly corrupt rottenness at the core and foundation of $cientology. Not that all members of this "church" are evil... Just their leaders! Followers are often guilty of no offense worse than gullibility- but the leaders of this "church", now they are something else! Read all about their roots in Satanism, documented here by Bent Corydon more shockingly than anywhere else. An excellent book! And oh by the way, for those of you who might wish to read a humorous spoof about the "Church of Omnology" which solves all your problems by "fleecing your scamgrams away", I might recommend "Jurassic Horde Whisperer of Madness County", for sale by Amazon.com... Beware of $$$$Scams!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Paranoid claptrap Review: Bent Corydon is just another in a line of people who can write a sentence and think that it makes them an authority. Dissing Hubbard and his many followers is a profitable enterprise, not unlike the news rags at the supermarket checkout stand which jump out with assertions of 2 headed coyotes and celebrity madness. I have been a Scientolofor several years, and the training and therapy that I have received from Mr. Hubbard has helped me triple my income. Not by ripping off unsuspecting seekers who are dragged into a Scientology church or mission, as Corydon might have you believe, but by making me more productive and efficient at my job (plumbing) and life. Don't listen to naysayers. Find out for yourself. Avail yourself of the free services offered by Scientology and Scientologists (we were quite present at the WTC aftermath, providing help and counsel to emergency workers and victims alike) and make the choice for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Source of Information on L. Ron Hubbard Review: Contains many stories from people who knew L. Ron Hubbard personally. Exposes the dark side of the man convicted of fraud in France in 1976 who was the head of the Scientology cult. Documents Hubbard's history of child abuse, drug abuse, psychiatric instability, meglomania, pathological lying, bigamy, fraud, and practice of "Sex Magik" as an admirer of Satanist Aleister Crowley. A MUST READ for anyone wanting to know the truth about L. Ron Hubbard and the true basis of his "Church of Scientology" which believes ones body is covered with the spirits of other beings.
Rating: Summary: Courageous Expose of the "Church" of $cientology!!!! Review: Excellent book! Many reviews of the anti-$cientology books say this one isn't as good as Jon Atack's "A Piece of Blue Sky...", but I've read them both, and I liked Bent's book better. OK, so the critics are right; Jon is more organized and better documented. ***BUT*** Bent manages to dig up more dirt!!! I liked the detailed desciptions of L. Ron's dabbling in "Magick", and Satanism as practiced by L. Ron's hero, Aliester Crowley (British Satanist). The one part of Bent's book, here, (actually very frightening) that really shows L. Ron for the EVIL man that he was, is when he told his oldest son, L. Ron Jr. (Ron Jr. is quoted), that REAL power comes from nothing less than EVIL itself. $cientology was started by an evil man, and the evil continues to this day. Any doubts!?!? READ this book!!!! Thanks for your courage in the face of some very real, modern-day EVIL, Bent Corydon!!!!

Rating: Summary: Oh Yeah? Review: God gave us the 10 Commandments. Do you think we should consider them evil because of the Inquisition?God, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Confucious, Aristotle and L.Ron Hubbard all have either given humanity damn interesting information or discovered aspects of the mechanics of improving spirituality. Should you throw away these things because the authors also had bad breath, farted or cussed once in a while? Do you believe in another individual saving your [self] or do you figure this [stuff]out with the info available and save your own [self]? Do not focus on the individual. Focus on his discoveries. What can you use of his work to improve your situation. You do have a situation don't you?
