Review: Greetings!I just downloaded the Updated NASB to my Compaq iPaq Pocket PC and it works wonderfully. Both the Old & New Testament Table of Contents work fine. In fact, the Table of Contents on the Updated NASB is superior to the KJV Pocket PC version as it shows far more books per page then does the KJV. I'm not sure why others were having trouble with this program on their pocket PC's, but it appears that the problem has been addressed. Perhaps either with the program itself or with MS Reader Pocket PC version. The bottom line is this...you can download this program with complete confidence if you are using the latest version of MS Reader. Download it today! Keep the Word with you always and share the love of God in Christ Jesus wherever and whenever the opportunity arises : ) Peace & Health to All,

Review: I also tried to download this book into my casio and it did not work but laridian does have a NASBible to download onto a Jornada 690 handheld, and says it is window ce based so should work with all window ce based palms, I would think, I did not try to download that one into the Casio

Summary: Really A Wonderful Tool, I Was Surprised.
Review: I bought this Bible for my new HP Jornada 568 because it was one of the reasons I wanted the Jornada, for it's convenience. Using it with the Microsoft Reader I was blown away. Not only can I use it at church to keep my place for the main text with the bookmark feature, but when other references are given, I can get to them fast with the table of contents. The highlighting and text notes you can add, with the reader, allows you to take notes and keep them right with the text, if you can write fast enough on your Pocket PC. Wish there was a Thompson Chain verson with links to the other references and the Thompson notes. Maybe someday. I was really suprised how well it worked. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a handy quick Bible written in today's english.

Summary: Dis-satisfied with this product
Review: I experience problems with this product's Old Testament Table of Contents links not working. They simply do not work on my desktop computer running Win ME and MS-Reader, though the New Testament TOC links work fine. No other E-books that I'm using demonstrate this problem. I also have experienced problems with the E-book hanging MS-Reader about 80% of the time when I click the PAGES area of the screen to scroll to another page. Again, none of my other E-books demonstrate this behavior. Very irritating!

Review: I have also tried to load this onto a portable device. The book will not open on a HP Jornada using reader. I feel this was a waste of money. If this is a common problem with e-books, then you have to question their future.

Summary: New American Standard Bible (Updated Edition)
Review: I have began with the KJV Bible in the Scofield edition when I became a Christian in 1966. After a number of years of learning how to read this version and going to Bible School, I studied the Greek texts and eventually which texts were best. I discovered that the older texts that produced the NASV Bible were the best and most accurate. I began to preach from the NASV for a number of years. When I entered my present ministry, I began using the NIV because of the readability but it was just a dynamic equivilant of the Greek texts. I was frustrated because I could not find a good translation that accurately handled the original language. I discovered the NASV Updated version a number of years ago. I am elated about the accuracy of the translation and excited about the readability of the version. I wholeheartedly recommend this version of the Bible for the student of the word. It will help you grow in your Christian faith by being able to understand what God's says, but will also give you the assurance of the faithfulness to the original languages.

Summary: Clarifying Previous Review
Review: I have the MSReader edition of this Bible and the table of contents works perfectly on my desktop PC. The problem he had with his Casio PocketPC is not specific to this title. The current PocketPC version of Microsoft Reader is not able to read titles that are created using the security settings that most publishers will choose..... Bottom line, if you have a PocketPC, you need to wait until the Reader software is upgraded by Microsoft. If you are using the Windows version of MSReader, you shouldn't have any problems.
