Rating: Summary: Heard it before Review: When I first read this book, I found it quite interesting, however, I knew right off that most of the information was false. The story this "Elaine" tells of herself is not new to my ears. I have heard a very similar story from at least five other people who claim to have been the leader of this "secret, Satanic organization which runs everything." Please, something original would be nice. I am what is known as a "Researcher." I study everything there is about the Occult, Satanism in particular. All of the "facts" stated in this book are false and the locations, not there. The thing that really amazes me is that there are people who actually believe this stuff. Maybe these people like to believe that there is something out there that is "evil" and "powerful" and that they have complete control over stopping it because they are so pathetic that they need to have something to feel superior to. They are just as power-hungry as everyone else, but the difference is that they delude themselves to get this power. By the way, the FBI did a prolonged, in-depth investigation into the supposed "Satanic and Occult ritual abuse" and they found that every case, EVERY case, was a fraud. The report stated, "The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus, and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people do not like that statement, but few can argue it." -FBI Chief Investigator Kenneth V. Lanning.
Rating: Summary: DON'T SLEEP!!! on this book Review: Don't let the simple tiltle fool you, also don't think that you can gain from this book if your not merely interested in things concerning Witchcraft. This book exposes somany of the things that Satan trys and has kept us bound with. I beleive it is a must read for every truly professing Christian... Be Set free, by the Authority and Power of Jesus!!
Rating: Summary: EXPOSED!! Review: Who is exposed here: Dr. R Brown or Forces of Darkness?? Both. Neither. Although I find the territory she covers to be vitally important, I do not find her a trustworthy guide. Esentially she claims special insight. She claims special insight into matters of extreme importance and power. She is aware of her credibility gap as is her publisher. To my knowledge she has been very unaccountable. She has not answered questions that credible persons have asked. When I heard her in person I believed much of what she taught to be sound. And I found the content and style of the presentations she gave with her husband to be highly suspect. She did not look like a very well person to me.
Rating: Summary: The Straight up truth will set you free!!! Review: I found it is the most straight-forward Christian book out today detailing what real satanists are actually involved in. I was ecstatic to find a book that gave the straight up truth about what she and others did to serve satan! With the upcoming of Harry Potter and witch tv shows glamorizing witchcraft and the occult, as a life-long Christian, I've always wondered just what real witches and other devil worshippers actually do and how they encounter the devilor become devil worshippers in the first place. She talks about how children are given to Satan from birth which totally explains child killers (which I also have a scholarly interest in). She discusses things Christians might do in their daily lives that may affect them in the spiritual realm unbeknownst to them. Rebecca also talks about demon possession in detail, and how demons can use a persons body who is very involved in the occult world. I am a criminal justice student who will enter the world of law enforcement soon. I will be encountering people who are under the devil's influence (like in Rebecca's book) on a regular basis and am very happy to have this insight without having to go read an actual devil's handbook to find out where these people come from. The reader can visualize exactly what takes place. I think this book is a wake-up call for all people, especially Christians who don't really pay attention to occultists or think that spiritual warfare is not so serious. It will bring you closer to God as you get a better understanding of how the enemy operates. Lastly, I just want to say the devil is a liar, and I agree with someones review before mine when they said God (the Holy Spirit) will let you know if what you're reading is false just like when you're listening to a false preacher, and you say to yourself, he is not speaking the word. This author speaks the word in her book in a loving and Godlike manner showing you she is just trying to save and inform the world (like she did the witch in this book). There is an anointing on this literature.
Rating: Summary: good, but somewhat confusing Review: A shocking book to say the least, however the authors claims are confusing. She lumps satanists, magicians, witches and yogis(those who practice meditation) under one tent. She claims to have revelations from a former witch who says that satanists have large libraries of secret knowledge, are able to do the most astounding things such as summoning demons in a blaze of fire and even witnessed a human sacrifice, with Satan in attendence. This book reads like fiction, but there is some evidence for such amazing feats. I refer the reader to a book called Witchcraft in the Southwest. Apparently these people can do such things through the Devils power. However, I do not agree with the author lumping magicians, yogis, etc. in with Satanists. They have a totally diffrent philosophy which deals with controlling the mind to attain union with God ie; Nirvana. Satanists, from what I understand, are dualists. They believe that God is both positive and negative, like everything else in life. The evil God is the God of the Bible, who imprisoned mans immortal spirit in matter, and the good God is Lucifer, who tried to liberate mans spirit to attain heaven. This is gnosticism I believe. Satanists therefore fight against what they believe to be the evil God and worship Lucifer instead. At least some of them believe that they will go to heaven to be with lucifer and it is the christians and their God who will go to hell. This I think, might explain some of the shocking things that occur, in this book. That is, if the book is true, and I have my doubts. However, the author may be mistaken in lumping yogis etc. with satanists since their philosophy is completly diffrent. Just for the record I am not particulary religious but I do study it. This book is good as evidence to see what may really be going on.
Rating: Summary: A masterpiece of reality Review: I have had the pleasure of reading this book on three separate occassions. It has inspired me to investigate further the existance of occultic activity in our world. We as a society fail to understand the depths of depravity one is willing to go to to achive his/her dreams. If we take an honest look at this particular work, than you should at least be compeled or willing to investigate further the valitiy of what the author is attempting to communicate to her readers, and that is as one author points out "Satan is alive and well on planet Earth". Could you imagine a man such as Adulf Hitler when he came to power that one of his goals would be to rid Europe of the Jews, and what about the occult connection that many authors are exposing right and left? My point simple: Such a thing is unheard of for no would ever think even in their wildest dreams something such as the final solution ever taking place. As a matter of fact the German people felt that anti-semitism was just a political ploy to undermine the Jewish society of Germany. Never did anyone think that Hitler would send some 10 million Jews to their death! So what is so hard to believe about what you read in this book? On another frount the book is packed with scripture, and when one investigates the scriptural aspects of this book there is no question that the book is dead center and not just a figment of ones imagination. The Bible disects and examines everything authored by man in light of God's Holy Word. Many Christians are telling the general public that this book is indeed a light that shines in the darkness screaming to both the ignorent ( those that reject the reality of Satan kingdom on earth) and the decieved( those that are intreched in Satans kingdom on earth)He Came to Set the Captives Free!!!
Rating: Summary: Research will compel you believe in the truth Review: I have taken the pleasure of reading and studying He Came to Set the Captives Free, and I still have not lost my respect for this work. Satanism is alive and well, and those that adhere to its doctrine can learn something from this particular book! Its not so hard to imagine the depths of evil or the lenths that people will go to fulfill their lusts, and when the lusts are betrayed we retaliate. Let us say in theory that every thing in this book is false, yet we still have the testamony of countless others that will testify to the very truths that this book centers upon. People that have been there and done that. So you see if you wish to undermine the valitity of this book that is fine, but there are so many other sources, so you cannot undermine them all. The truth of the matter is this: Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, Satan has tried with all his powers to declare himself as god. Man since the fall (traditionally speaking) has tried to either be, or become god thus being in union with Satan. Those that are into satanism are essentially trying to accomplish the same thing, and to inflict rule upon others. He Came to Set the Captives Free was written so that we can be introduced to a brand new and better way of belief, and that belief is a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
Rating: Summary: God is allways faithful Review: This book HE CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE is a book that everyone who has any concern for their life and for others should read that book and the following wersion PREPARE FOR WAR. In these books you can read about how faithful GOD really is and that He is who He said He is. When JESUS died on the cross He died for our sins and defeded satan and all his demons. The BIBLE tells us that JESUS went down to HELL to preach to the demons and take back the keys of life. Anyways This book is awsome great and powerful. Just be blessed while you read this book. JESUS LOVES YOU
Rating: Summary: "The facts, Ma'am, just the facts," Sargeant Friday Review: I am an out-of-the-broom-closet Witch. Because of this I feel that is important to have books, etc., that can be shown to people who might try to harrass me because of my religous beliefs. Although I think the chances of that are pretty remote! I don't think I'm important enough for most people to pay attention to! In other words I don't suffer from delusions of grandeur or conspiracy theories as the author of this book apparently does. I have a book written by a Canadian Police Officer who is also a Wiccan. The title of the book is The Law Enforcement Guide To Wicca and it's by Kerr Cuhulain. In his book he talks about the author of this book, and I use the term author loosely! The following information is taken from his book. Fact 1: Elaine's full name is Edna Elaine Moses and she is a confirmed fraud who was never a Witch. She has several aliases. Some of them are Edna Moses, Edna Bailey, Edna Gnost and Elaine Moses. She made many claims which could not be substansiated. Fact 2: "Dr." Rebecca Brown's real name is Ruth Bailey. The Medical Licensing Board of Indiana met on 10/2/1984, to consider Bailey's license to practice medicine. They revoked her license (#29402) for misdiagnonosing patients. "Dr." Brown claimed that her patient's illnesses were caused by demons, devils and other EEEVIIIL (emphasis mine) spirits. Bailey was found to have administered massive overdoses of Demerol and Phenobarbital (does the term drug addict mean anything to you?) to herself and to her patients and to have falsified patient's charts and hospital records as well as misleading other medical professionals regarding her patient's condition. A psychiatrist appointed by M.L.B. diagnosed Bailey as suffering from demonic delusions and/or paranoia schizophrenia. After losing her medical license, Bailey adopted the name Dr. Rebecca Brown and she and Elaine began to tell the story of how Elaine was a former High Priestess of a Satanic cult and how Dr. Brown had rescued her from a hospital full of Satanic cult members. I only wrote this review to inform Christians with a firm grip on reality of the facts about "Dr." Rebecca Brown. And please find out the truth about Witches! We worship Nature and the Scource Of All Life and not Satan, we don't even believe in Satan! Bright Blessings To All!
