Review: Johnston continues to serve millions of people who long to earnestly pray for the world. He painstakingly catalogues relevant information about every country in the world. It is organized in a way that helps a person really understand the demographics, trends, and prayer concerns for countries big and small. Hats off to Johnston and his team!Sorry to see that there are some sour-pusses that obviously have an anti-Christian bias who have tried to discredit such a fine work. Johnston's work flows from a love for Christ and a love for people all over the world. What might happen if we would all pray more earnestly for the down-trodden?

Review: Operation World is a great compilation of information about every country in the world. It gives facts, figures and dates of importance for each country and it gives the reader prayer needs for each country. Among the pages you will find not just the prayer needs but how some of the country's prayers have been answered in the recent past. Whether you are a missionary or someone that needs facts and figures for different countries, this book will provide what you are looking for. As a missionary myself, I find the information within the pages invaluable. A good friend of mine who is into historical facts and knowledge was elated with the information. My son is also using it for his Social Studies class. Do not let this book pass you by. It is a great addition to everyone's library regardless of what information you are seeking about countries.

"The will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." This is a great first step to becoming a global Christian.

Review: That is the biggest problem with this book. The fact that cults and Catholicism are included as Christian should be disturbing to any bible believing Christian. It is too bad the author felt compelled to sell out the Gospel in order to sell books.

Review: The best thing about this book is the way it cultivates concern and compassion in our hearts for all of the world. It is organized by what to pray for daily, and through the book it lists all parts of the world and their prayer concerns and also outlines some of the ways God has already been moving in that region--so it gives your heart a chance, through prayer, to mourn with those who mourn, rejoice with those who rejoice, and to bear one another's burdens. It is far too easy, especially if you live in an affluent country, to forget the struggles our Christian sisters and brothers are facing all over the world. This book can be instrumental in having our hearts be concerned for those things that concern the heart of God. It will definitely reshape your devotional life, perspective on Christian unity, and belief in the efficacy of prayer.

Review: This book has opened my eyes to the big, beautiful world out there that God has created--through it my eyes have been opened not only to the world's beauty, vastness and diversity, but also to the desperate need for the world to hear the message of Jesus Christ...the book Operation World is a beautiful tool with which we can approach God in prayer with these needs. Praying for a different country each day is a powerful way to be God's servant and a powerful way to spread his Kingdom. I have also given this book to many friends and encourage you to do the same.
