Rating: Summary: The most informative, motivating book on world prayer. Review: This book is packed with information covering history from a political, economic, and religious standpoint allowing you to pray in context for each country. There are specific requests. The former head of World Vision said, "Let my heart break for the things that break God's heart." I have been using this book for the last 14 years and it has helped me to see the world from His perspective and break like His heart breaks! An essential for any believer serious about world prayer! It is an incredible resource for using with your children in opening eyes to the needs of the world.
Rating: Summary: Definitely in my Top Five Favorite Books Review: This book is totally great for the busy student/worker/parent! Not only is it concise and easy to read, it offers day by day organized information on countries around the world. It's hard sometimes in prayer times to remember the rest of the world, and what a huge world this is! This book gives the opportunity to pray one country at a time for SPECIFIC needs. It even chooses a country for you on a specific date. Not overwhelming, not fancy jargon. You open it up - January 14th - The Church in Asia. A specific prayer need and it gives spectacular statistics, graphs and you can pick it up no matter when the last time you used it was. It gives information on all religions and practices going on in a specific place at a specific time. Definite must-have!
Rating: Summary: More like World Domination Review: This book sounds like something out of the Crusades where Christians want to overthrow all other religions. I wonder what the author would think of other religions writing a book to overthrow Christianity?
Rating: Summary: An Absolute MUST HAVE! Review: This is a book that every church library, every missions group, every Christian family should have! Not only does it tell you how you can intelligently pray for specific countries, but it also gives you all kinds of statistics and brief historical facts on each country.

Rating: Summary: More like World Domination Review: This volume is a must for anyone truly concerned about World Missions. Dedicated laymen, pastors, and others will find this a valuable resource. It is written from the evangelical perspective. Most nations are summarized in one to three pages. Summaries include a map, description of area, peoples and people groups, literacy, capital city, economy, politics, and, of great interest to Christians, religious demagraphics. Christians are separated into sub-categories as well (Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant--which is further sub-divided into evangelical and charistmatic). Current history, special needs/situations, and current ministry approaches form yet another category. Each article provides a list of needs and prayer requests. The countries are also co-ordinated with a date atop the page for those who wish to pray for a nation a day. As a pastor, I find this my most important missions resource. It is clearly number 1 for missions demagraphics.
