Summary: It helped me to Heal
Review: I found the book very helpful! I lost a baby 9 years ago. I read the book then and it brought me great comfort. This book is one of the things that stands out in my mind as helping me cope with the loss. Just knowing that the baby is now with Jesus, and more happy than I could ever make it, is extremely comforting. I can i be sad knowing my baby is with Jesus?

Summary: Wonderful Book For Anyone Who Has Lost A Child!
Review: I lost my little girl at 17 weeks a little over two months ago due to two neural tube defects and searched for books to help me cope with my tragic loss. I bought this book and read it the day I got it, I couldn't put it down! It answered so many questions that I had asked after my loss. It has given me a sense of hope. If you have been through the loss of child, whether is be miscarriage, abortion, stillborn, etc. this book is for you.

Summary: Wonderful Book For Anyone Who Has Lost A Child!
Review: i was given this book when my husband and i lost our daughter, Danielle, at 6 mo. of pregnancy. i wanted to read it because it looked helpful for someone who had a stillborn child, and it was not too long (when you are grieving it is hard to focus on lengthy books). it answered questions for me about seeing my child again in heaven and offered verses of comfort in the bible. unfortunately, it did not seem to really focus on "stillbirth" as much as i had hoped, also it seemed to refer back to abortion one way or another. it talked about not holding grudges against women who have abortions, but to try to help them afterwards, also how to start up a pregnancy crisis center through your church to offer pregnant women other options. all of these things are helpful, but not in the context it is presented. i help to facilitate a support group for parents who have lost children to miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death, and am always searching for the right materials, books, and information to pass on to the parents, to offer comfort and hope. this would not be one that i would recommend to our group unless i knew for sure one's situation would warrant this particular book. i also received this same feedback from two women in the group who previously had read it on their own . again, it is helpful in certain aspects, but, in my opinion, i was mostly disappointed.

Summary: Good from a christian perspective, but mostly about abortion

Summary: A healing book, for the broken hearted.
Review: I was sure nothing could take the pain from my heart. As I looked at the tiny baby in my palm, I thought, "I never got to meet you."

"I'll hold you in Heaven" Is so full of loving wisdom, that I cried at the end of each chapter. I cried out of relief. That tiny bit of flesh is not my baby. My James David is alive and happy in my Heavenly home.

There is also great love and hope in this book for those mothers who are suffering the after-effects of abortion.

With the Help of Jack Hayford's loving words, you can turn this stumbling block into a stepping stone.

Are you a friend of someone who's gone through this? I'd suggest that you buy this book, too. It will give you a greater understanding, and a better grasp on how to help that loved-one heal.

Summary: Compassionate Answers for Parents' Most Troubling Questions
Review: Parents who have lost a child before birth, or soon after, experience a special kind of grief. Pastor Jack Hayford offers this warm, encouraging, hopeful message to these parents and answers questions such as:

What happened to my baby after it died?

Will I ever see my baby again, and will I recognize him?

What happes if I've had an abortion?

Does God have a reason for letting my child die?

How can I help a friend who's in grief?

God showed His tenderness when David lost the child he had had with Bathsheba shortly after its birth. In his pain and grief, David spoke the word of revelation, the reassuring word of God's truth, saying, "I will go to (my child) but he will not return to me" (2 Samuel 12:19-23).

As Pastor Jack Hayford says, "This isn't myth, fable, legend or a selection of poetic thoughts for the sorrowful. This is truth to set us free. Here we are specifically freed to expect to meet children in heaven, to recognize them and to be with them."

DR. JACK HAYFORD is senior pastor of The Church on The Way in Van Nuys, California. His ministry reaches around the world through television, radio, and the books and music he has written. His books include Rebuilding the Real You, Restoring Fallen Leaders, Worship His Majesty and Taking Hold of Tomorrow.

Summary: A little comfort during a great time of sorrow and grief
Review: This book was excellent since it offers some comfort to the grieving parent in a time of intense and unbelievable sorrow without "preaching." I read it three times and highly recommend it to anyone searching for comfort during a time when nothing seems to help..

Summary: Very helpful book
Review: This book was given to me when I lost a child. The book gave me a lot of encouragement and answered alot of nagging questions with promises/truths from God's word. After reading it, I found comfort in the knowledge that my child was in heaven.

Summary: I'll hold you in Heaven
Review: This book was helpful for me. It did help me realize that I will see my lost children again. It does have a bit of a judgemental tone toward abortion. It does not address that NOT all parents terminate as a form of birth control. Some abortions are heartbreaking to the parents, but they do it because of the misery their child is being saved. My first pregnancy with my daughter was given zero chance for survival by several specialists. We were told that the uterus would start to contract since there was no fluid left and the baby would be crushed to death. The alternative, iv sedation which would allow the baby to go to sleep peacefully. Even though it broke our hearts we knew it was the right thing for her. She had kidney disease, so the kidney had kept fluid from accumulating. It also kept the stomach, bladder and lungs from being formed. This book does not address termination except in the traditional abortion fashion. It does not address those that terminate due to poor fetal diagnosis. There are a lot more people in this category than one might think. Overall it is a good book for anyone who is spiritual and who has suffered a loss. I enjoyed it, but thought a few other issues could be addressed. Hope it helps you too. ALL THE BEST!

Summary: A good book, but not what I expected
Review: This is a well written and thoroughly investigated book, but it was not a great help and comfort to me, after I buried my stillborn child, the main reason being that it dealt in a large capacity with the aftermath of an abortion. In that subject, it is an excellent book, but in the area of grieving a stillborn child, there was not much said. The emotions are far different, and would be better dealt with in separate venues.
