Summary: The clearest explanation of grace that I have seen!
Review: I work with youth and I looked and looked for something that explained the concepts of walking in grace in terms they can understand. I found it in Grace Walk. Steve makes it easy for anyone to understand what it means for a Christian to walk in God's grace. The book is scripturally sound and enjoyable to read. I use it for my small group ministry for youth and adults. I wish I had written it!

Summary: Soooo life changing!!!!
Review: McVey has written an excellent book challenging the Christian to live in the power of God's grace instead of fleshly self-sufficiency.

Among the excellent points covered include:

1. God's view of success differs from the world's view.
2. Definition of the flesh. Before God will work in and through us, we must stop relying on fleshly self-confidence.
3. The futility of trying to live the Christian life in fleshy self-effort.
4. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is based on grace, not rules and regulations. Church activity without Jesus is powerless.
5. The exchanged life vs. the flesh life and promises God gives us for victorious living.
6. Reasons to live based on a relationship with Jesus instead of Christian values.
7. Evangelism based on grace is the overflow of a joyous relationship with Jesus Christ.
8. Grace is characterized by calm confidence in God's sovereignty, timing, and methods.

While God's grace is the dominant theme in this book, the author does not excuse liberty at the expense of being a positive witness.

Read and be encouraged to let God be your life instead of you trying to live the Christian life. There is a difference!

Summary: Changed my life...everyone must read!!!
Review: The author reminds us that it isn't by works or performance that we are saved from hell and damnation, but by God's grace and unconditional love. The book was an easy and quick read, and will change anyone's life for the good.

Summary: One of the most significant works on the Christian life ever
Review: The idea that God doesn't call us to do what we are able to do, but places our calling just beyond our own self-sufficiency so that "no flesh should glory in His presence" is a truth McVey has discovered. That we need not ask God for strength, but instead let Him perfect His own strength through our weakness is not something we have not read in the Bible. It is there! We simply read over it and never realize what it is saying. For too long, too many Christians have sung "Christ is all I need" but lived "I did it my way." This important book is as clear and understandable as anything written any where about the principle of Christ living His life through the believer. I tell my seminary students it is a must read, in fact it is an assignment which requires a book review. To me it is essential that tomorrows Christian leaders understand clearly that the "abundant life" is nothing less than the sufficiency of Christ. It is life. Grace Walk makes clear the truth that Jesus Christ did not come to earth to make bad people good, but to make dead people live. Thank God for Dr. McVey and for the wonderful blessing this book has been and will be to untold thousands.

Summary: McVey clearly explains what every Christian must know!
Review: This book changed my life! In plain language McVey hits the place where the Christian's focus is supposed to be. Often, churches never talk about grace in such an easily understood way. If you struggle with inconsistency, mediocrity, frustrations, and questions of why the "Christian Life" as you know it doesn't work - buy this book! Understanding grace is the key to freedom from legalism and grace is the key to living the Christian Life (that does work) as Christ intended. God Bless!

Summary: Powerful, powerful Message!
Review: This book has shown me how to exchange my unfulfilling attempt at a Christian lifestyle for a trusting and fulfilling relationship with Christ. The old has past, things really have become new!

Summary: Life Changing!
Review: This book personally ministered to me at a time when I felt again overwhelmed by the cycle of repeating the walk, to walk, to fall, to repent, to repeat.

Instead, in very concrete terms McVey helps to remove any notions left in my heart that I will somehow please God or displease God by my actions. It's a refreshing book that offers real help not through WORKS or review of the LAW, but simply by focus on CHRIST AND HIS GRACE.

Wow! I needed to read this, and will read it again and again as a key ingredient to protect and live on with fullness in Christ.

One wonderful quote as an example of setting me free from work and law was this:
"Luke said that Martha was distracted from Jesus. What caused her attention to be distracted away from Jesus? Serving Him!"

Excellent book, highly recommended especially for those who struggle to live the full and rich life in Christ, and are hampered with struggles of self and world like I was.

Yes, I have already been set free -- now I can live like it! Romans 8:1
