Rating: Summary: Read this book and get Satan out your life! Review: Never before have I been gripped with a book like this. This book has encouraged me to be bold in my faith of God as Satan and his army are completely under God's power. For the first time I clearly understand the relationships between body, soul and spirit. I am reading my bible in a new way. If you don't believe the bible is God's inspired word, then don't bother reading this book. If you do, I personally urge you to read it and literally cast out any of your own demons in Jesus' name.
Rating: Summary: I think this book is a must read Review: This should be read by every christians that consider themselves true to the word of God. I personally have discover a whole lot more than i ever thought possible. I have personaaly try some of the things that she says, because she has enlighten me to realize that we have power over all spiritual of the dark. The devil just don't want us to know because he himself is afraid of what we can do if we only believe with all our heart. I also love the way she point out everything she's trying to say in the bible just so people won't say that it is her own teaching. I personally want to thank Rebecca for coming out with this book to make realize how divine , my relationship with my father can be.
Rating: Summary: eye-opening information for His Church... Review: First, let me thank Rebecca (and Elaine) for sharing such information with the world! I'm sure Satan and his servants are completely less than happy you did. What courage it took! This was a scary book as is "He Came to Set the Captives Free". I can safely say the church doesn't have a clue. Satan has definitely done a great job of covering the whole operation up. If people really begin to get a clue and commit and really use the power and authority Jesus gave us, he is in for quite a bad time and he is fully aware of that. Anyone serious about Jesus and what He is calling His Church to in these perilous days needs to read and re-read this book and all the Scriptural references. One thing Rebecca makes clear is that this in NOT A GAME and YOU HAD BETTER COME PREPARED if you are called to engage the enemy and his kingdom. Thanks, Rebecca for making that abundantly clear throughout these books. Also, over and over again Rebecca and Elaine stress the importance of a CLOSE Relationship with our KING as the key to peace and success. HE is what its all about! These books are factual and not sensational at all. Jesus' Church needs to get MOTIVATED and go and find those lost sheep for our Shepherd, and not just the ones who have consciously given themselves to satan, either.....His will is for all everywhere to come to Him!
Rating: Summary: Whoa! This book really opened my spiritual eyes! Review: Since I accepted Lord Jesus as my Savior and Lord in October 1994, someone introduced me about "He Came To Set The Captives Free" by Dr. Rebecca Brown. I read her book and was so impressed and decided to order other three books through Amazon.com. When I finished read my books, I saw the world completely different! Whoa.Yes, I confirmed that Dr. Rebecca Brown is right because I experienced with "my ministry" into someone (my friend) that had possessed with evil spirits! I finally resolved the problems with her a week later. Without reading my books, I can't resolve the same problems successfully. Praise the Lord! Also, I confirmed that Dr. Rebecca Brown is right about recent UFO sightings in secular media and my child nightmares as demonic manifestations. When I was a kid, I frequently experiecned nasty nightmares when I tried to sleep in the dark room. I can't sleep with turned off lights. With my testimony about three of my terrible nightmares.. When I started to have a dream, I am washing myself in my tub... I saw the cartoon-like purple lungs crawled across the wall out of the edge of wall. The dream ended. I woke up and was so afraid. Another one: I started to have a dream... I saw the lit-up cartoon-like ceral box with a picture of Robin Hood crawaled on the ceiling out of the edge of the room. The dream ended, I woke up and was so afraid. Last one: My dream started... I saw the some buildings and clear sunny sky.. Then I saw the millions of skeletons marched over the open field around the buildings. The dream ended... Etc.. Yes, I have so many terrible nightmares when I was a kid... My parents did not understand what I explained about them but they told me just a dream. So sad. :-( I do not know that until I read this book. I was so shocked to find out about child doorways (terrible nightmares). I still am seeking for the complete deliverance from Satan's strongholds through my prayer. In Christ, Tim Stark
Rating: Summary: amazon customer Review: Definately a must-read for all Christians as well as any that want out of any form of the occult or that have had missgivings about an "inner thing that was in them but not them".I highly recomend it.
Rating: Summary: There's one sucker born every minute Review: Ok, so this nutcase Rebecca Brown think that meditation, yoga and martial arts seduce you into worshipping demons - not to talk about rock music. Cuckooo! For more intelligent readers I recommend to take a look at Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World", instead of this shameful piece of cr*p...
Rating: Summary: He came to set the captives Free Review: I am a pastor. When I was hit hard by the enemy and his workers, God lead me to this book. I was told about it some years before because there was important information in it that helped this young girl get set free who used to be a witch. Experienced people who do deliverance could not get anywheres with her because of info they didn't know that is in this book. So even experienced people will learn in this book. I do believe that only people who do deliverance should read this book. It has graphic details that are frightening. I can only say to press through it and know who your enemy is. Facinating book. What an intense understanding and close look at how the enemy works against us from one who used to be on the inside. I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. Yes it is frightening but God is greater! This is not for everyone! Only for those working against the enemy. I believe that when I read this book I learned that I will do deliverance but I don't want to work with people getting out of satanic ritual and such. It is heavy. Yes the enemy is real! But God is greater!!!! Must read if you want an eyeful of who the enemy is. Only for mature Christians!
Rating: Summary: Cautious Review: . Rebecca is a godly woman who I greatly admire. I did enjoy the glimpses into what God was like from the close relationship she shared with Him. However, as I grew older in the faith I felt unrest over what I read about God, and I did not really know why. I prayed and He began to show me that no one was infallible, and I was led to reexamine what I had originally trusted. I felt a super saint could not be wrong, but upon being led to rethink some of the things she heard from the Lord with comparison of the bible and how he truly is, I realized that she did not always hear from Him and did not always test what she heard. She presented some wrong views about the Lord and yet it is not her fault. For instance, God tells her that He does not have emotions, like many people think He does. He goes on to tell her that He feels nothing for the condemned who will stand before Him in Judgement.(Those who did not accept His Son) I felt this was presenting His Holiness and Judgement, yet also implied He was somewhat cold and uncaring. While emotions may be of the sin nature, I still sought God on this subject, since this was very disturbing to me. I was soon led to passages which describe God, as "full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.; slow to anger and of great mercy " He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds; put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and others. In another place she writes that She was walking the streets all night, upset and ignoring God, whenever He tried to talk to her, and so she knew "Father was angry at her". She then told Him He had failed her. She wrote that she was surprised He did not strike her dead on the spot, for He was certainly able to do so. Then comes to her the sweet voice of Jesus, quoting Hebrews 4:15-16, telling her He had experienced weakness and could understand hers, but Father has never experienced weakness "So He usually gets angry when His people are weak". This presents God as so angry that He is ready to strike one of His own children at any moment, if they go through a time of weakness meaning to the point of giving up. Yet again upon telling the Lord how I felt about this, He showed me that He is "slow to anger, and of greaT mercy", He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strenth; Fear thou not; for I am with thee...I will strenghten thee, yea, I will help thee; yea; I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness, also Jesus says " I and My Father are One" and "I do honour my Father..." Although she definately does have some valuble information in her books, I think one should be cautious as to some views and even doctrines presented by her.
Rating: Summary: Making religion into a cult Review: How do you form a successful cult? Disguise it as a well-established religion! Seriously, to believe that there is a vast underground network of Satanists living in America who only love to go out and destroy Christians is just as believable as spaceship on the other side of a comet. She's successful at picking and choosing only the quotes from the Bible that she wants, thus always finding ways to prove her point. Cult leaders have been known to do this for years. If anything, this book is a good study of just how far one person can take a belief. You really start to feel sorry for this woman after a while, because she writes with such passion, you can tell she actually beleives what she is writing.
Rating: Summary: Essential Follow On To 'He Came To Set The Captives Free' Review: This is an extremely well written and essential follow on to 'He Came To Set The Captives Free'. Here the author delves deeper into a variety of experiences in the field of spiritual warfare. The author's account of her faith and obedience filled walk with God and her extensive experiences in spiritual warfare must be read. She herself AGAIN openly declares that everyone should not take her word as the absolute truth but that everything she writes and it's context should be weighed and measured against the written Word of God in the Holy Bible. It is against this that we should weigh her experiences and accounts, and nothing else. The latter is the final and only Authority in this matter. Personal hostility towards the author is to be expected, but this too should be weighed against the same principles of Scripture. I have read many books related to spiritual warfare and personally find the books by Rebecca Brown to be among the very best. The worldwide spread of Satanism and the occult is alarming and we need to be aware of what the Holy Bible says about dealing with this increasing menace. This is fully dealt with by the author. We need to be aware of the depth of deception that is spread by Satanism even through the channels of the 'church' itself. This is a vast subject that we ignore at our eternal peril. We need to be aware of where the true Christian stands in these matters and the Authority and Deliverance available to them through the Word. When you see other reviewers professing to be Christians whilst rubbishing the author and suggesting you read Stephen King novels to obtain more information about the devil, then you can see where these people are coming from. Even more so if you have read the books by Rebecca Brown. Take care.
