Rating: Summary: Irreplaceable and Miraculous Review: I bought this book because I had heard this song played on a country radio station and enjoyed so much. To sit and listen to the words of the song or read the words of the book is a very enriching treat for my heart. I especially enjoy the message of how each of us is irreplaceable and miraculous in this big universe of ours. In reading this book, I was reminded of another book that I hold dear to my heart called "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK" written by Ariel and Shya Kane. Through their book the Kanes present a path where you can find your true self and live a satisfying and joyous life. I highly recommend both of these wonderful books.
Rating: Summary: A gift to share. Review: I bought this book for my 20 year old daughter who sometimes feels overwhelmed by life. When she feels down she read this book to remind her of how beautiful life really is. Not only does she read it but shares her precious book with her girlfriends, who ask her constantly to borrow this book.
Rating: Summary: A gread read, and wonderful gift for all ages. Review: I bought this book for myself when I found out I was pregnant and having a little girl. I played the cd that accompanies it, and was not familiar with the song. To date I have heard it in the supermarket, sung at a beauty pageant, and played numerous times on the radio. I ended up ordering more books for my friends. If you have children OR parents - this is a great book and gift. I am now almost 9 months pregnant and read the book and play the cd for my soon-to-be-born daughter Nikole. It is a beautifully told "lesson" in life, meant to be passed on generation to generation. The lyrics are so sweet and the pictures beautiful. Buy or give - and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: I'd give it 10 stars if they'd let me... Review: I bought two of these books, one for each of my daughters (10 yrs and 12 yrs) because I told them a year ago that the song was a dedication from me to them and when I found the book, I couldn't believe it. I cried while I was ordering them because I knew how special it would be to them. I just received the books and it took me a long time to read it because I couldn't see the words through my tears. This book is so beautiful and inspirational. I know my daughters will love it and I pray they will live by it. To Lee Ann Womack, Mark Sanders and Tia Sellers... Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for creating something so beautiful for me to share with my two beautiful daughters!
Rating: Summary: Smiles full of Hope Review: I can't hear this melody enough. I have begun to collect old photos of myself, of friends and family dancing. This will be assembled into a collage around the special little book. This song and precious book of hope brings me comfort, smiles and hope at this low point in our/my history. We don't realize what treasures we are creating until we look back on the memories we have made. I have been sitting it out too long........the inspiration to once again dance has come alive through the words, book and music.
Rating: Summary: Even better the second time around!! Review: I don't think there is a page in this book that cannot be applied to every day life, just as it is. And what's more important...you never get sick of the advice that's in it. I've given away about 13 of these for birthday presents. And I'll just keep on ordering them. They apply to all. Rating: Summary: Buy one for a friend, and one to keep! Review: I don't usually pay attention to the lyrics of songs, but hearing the lyrics for "I Hope You Dance" motivated me to search for a written copy of them, which brought me to this book. It's a fun, touching, happy book, accompanied by an acoustic version of the CD that allows you to really hear the fantastic quality of Wommack's voice along with the words. Store this book in an easy-to-reach location for the times you need a little mental boost, or give to someone who needs a pick-me-up.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful song, equally a beautiful book for your loved ones Review: I first fell in love with song, and then found this book and purchased 3 copies that day! I think it is so important that our children know that we love them and that we too hope they dance! A beautiful gift for your daughter, friend or someone special! If you haven't heard the song, well this book comes with the cd tucked away on the back page and be prepared and have some tissues close at hand!
And to the person reading this... I too, hope you dance!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I Hope You Dance Review: I had given this as part of a birthday gift to my daughter at a time in her life that had a lot of decision making going on. She cried her eyes out and really appreciated the message. It, I beleive was her best gift.
Rating: Summary: Great Holiday Gift! Review: I highly recommend "I hope you dance" by Mark Sanders and Tia Sillers, especially as a great gift for friends and loved ones. The book just looks and feels beautiful. It takes the song "I hope you dance" - which is by the way included on a CD in the back pocket of the book - and expands on its heartfelt, engaging lyrics, reflecting on them and giving them further depth. Beautiful photos provide the backdrop for a message that encourages to go for your life, to live it to its fullest. If you can identify with this book's message, I also recommend "Working on yourself doesn't work" by Ariel & Shya Kane. This book shows you a new approach towards dealing with problems and challenges that is strikingly simple and can dramatically enhance, enrich and deepen your experience of life.
