Summary: Advice:
Review: My lowly advise: don't buy a copy of Thich Nhat Hahn's Peace Is Every Step! Buy two. Buy three. Buy four. Five. Six. One hundred if you can. Buy a whole bunch! You'll want to give them to family and friends--everyone. (Because heaven knows you won't be able to part with your own copy, no matter how at peace you become--at least I can't!) This is an excellent, comprehensive book. Inspiring. Tranquil. Peaceful.... and especially geared to the Western Mind. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

Summary: Helped me to find a path to mindfulness, amazing!
Review: I am a UCLA student, major in International politics, minor in latin American Studies. I was sent this book after dealing with stress related ailments. I was very unhappy for a long time. This book explains the ideas behind meditation, and everday ways to apply it to ones life. This book really helped me out. I can concentrate better and everything has become easier for me to deal with. I feel great. Plus this book was well written and a lot of fun to read. I suggest other books by the same Hanh as well. They are all wonderful.

Summary: Yes, it's all true
Review: It is as if this book contains a special magic. Even just holding it in my hand makes me feel at peace! It changed my life and many others. It will create beautiful events in your life. It is definitely buddhism even a westerner can understand (that's me!). Everytime I read it, I am transformed once again into a healed and tranquil soul.

Summary: Peace is indeed, every step. THANK YOU, Thich Nhat Hanh
Review: Very powerful, yet simple. This is one the best feel good books I have ever read. It made me feel so peaceful inside just to read these simple and powerful words.

Summary: A manual for living simply in a complex world.
Review: If you have forgotten how to smile at the simple things in life, or have forgotten that a tree is real and a business memo is not, this is a book for you.

Thich Nhat Hanh brings us back to the present by reminding us that if it is not simple, we probably complicated it ourselves. Yet, don't let the simplicity of his words fool you. As a master of meditation, TNH is dealing with teaching the paradigm shifts we all need to make to come to terms with true peace.

Summary: The Best marrige counseling you could every get from a book!
Review: I purchased this book at a talk given by Thich Nhat Hanh at Norwich University in Vermont. The Talk was the subject of this book. I have learned more about how to treat people and the ones we love with Mindfulness Living then every before. This is a necessary book for all those interested in the Buddhist way of living. It was written and spoken in a way that a westerners can understand. Thanks, Steve Coutermarsh Canaan, NH

Summary: Breathing out, you will smile.
Review: Did you ever play that game when you were a kid? "What would you take if you were stranded on an island?" Well, we are all on the same island, and my answer is Thich Nhat Hahn's "Peace is Every Step". You will want to read it often, as a constant bell of mindfullness. Breathing in, you know you are alive. Breathing out, you smile.

Summary: A must for those seeking peace in this life !
Review: This book was indeed a find! I have read many on similar topics - but the author captures the essence of Zen in few words that are alarmingly simple. Regardless of your core belief system, each person can take something with them from this book. This book helped me to transform my daily habits and to develop consious awareness of living intensively. His illustrations of how to be in the present moment are indeed, worth reading and are easily pulled back from memory. His method of presentation is truly a manifestation that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
