Rating: Summary: Great book! Review:
This book is great! only wish it was a hardback.
Rating: Summary: Very Practical and Powerful System of Spirit Evocation Review: I have been practicing techniques presented in this book for almost two years and I strongly recommend it to any serious occult practitioner who wants to reveal great potential of Goetia & Almadel systems.
First of all, this book is very practical and complete. It will explain you the whole process of evocation & invocation from the beginning to the end.
The problem of the original Goetia manuscript is a lack of control over the entity you evoke. In case of Goetia this can be very serious problem. The Book of Solomon's Magick effectively solves this point, which results in spiritually balanced and safe Goetia ritual framework.
In addition, this book provides detailed explanation of a reflection-distortion scrying technique, which allows occultist to have strong and stable visual & audio contact with the entity. It is important that this method of scrying is not limited to Goetia spirits, and can be effectively used for many other systems, including different Planetary, Elemental hierarchies, Pagan Gods and so on.
So, if you are interested in effective evocation & invocation techniques and Goetia & Almadel systems, get this book, practice it, and enjoy requested results together with new intellectual horizons it opens for you.
Rating: Summary: A great way to f*$%^ your mind up Review: I have the book and tape. This is a really great book HOWEVER the facial distortion is a great way to summon up aspects of your mind. And when you summon up a piece of your mind and abuse it with curses and other such nonsense you do damage. There is a LOT of great info in this book and you SHOULD read it...however don't do the facial distortion unless you wanna chant "bloody mary" a few times and run out giggling like a little girl who knows she scared herself. YOU-DONT-NEED-FACIAL-DISTORTION!!
Rating: Summary: True Grimoire Review: A grimoire is an occultist's personal book of magick. The Book of Solomon by Carroll Runyon is a powerful grimoire for Goetia conjurations, yet written in a warm and friendly manner. It contains much original material for Goetia conjurations, and should be in the library of the active occultist.
Rating: Summary: I Recommend This Worthwhile Primer Review: A worthwhile primer on the dynamics involved in invocative and evocative operations...
This source suggests a pattern for action about individuation, integration, and exorcism.
As a strong and succinct seed for the ole magician it allots space for growth yet informs decisions. The flexible concepts within this book offer attractive hints about magick and (voluntary personality) evolution.
I reverberate a preliminary mnemonic and quasi-scientific representation of the contents of 'this' system:
Invocation, theurgy, prayer, angelic presence, crystal gazing or self-regulated centripetal magnetism center the physiology and pupil for centrifugal expansion, evocation, and exorcism.
Crystal gazing, building concentration and grounding the attention, creates a technique for entraining integrity and consistency of consciousness. This technique, especially when combined with the invocation of angelic vibrations, enflames or stimulates the whole nervous system and amplifies cross-hemispheric synchronization thus inviting and cultivating the generation of equilibrious biomagnetism. Therein the secure and synchronistic magnetic force acts as self-defense or immunity against involuntary fluctuation (potential energy destabilization).
Evocation or exorcism employs this stable magnetic vortex as a centering-force while a responsible and self-regulated system operates the (self-determinate) act of intentionally casting-off stress or obsolete bioelectrical tension. The vibration-patterns evoked essentially signify inherited or species specific bioelectrical inhibitions; unconscious resistences to the evolution of the autonomic nervous network; unconscious resistences to transformation and higher energization of the psychophysiological system. These obsolete vibration-patterns reside unmanifest in the sphere of sensation, subconscious, or bloodstream of self-aware existences.
The magician, or self-regulated self-determinate system, voluntarily expedites the elimination of inhibition by sheer force plus imagination; conjuring a symbolic and correspondent representation of the pattern, attracting that pattern to the surface where perception and its magnetism explode or collapse the vestige then banish or order the dysfunction to serve as fuel to further consistency and equilibrium. Subsequent exorcism metabolizes vestiges, eventually eliminating inhibition from the microcosm and engendering a rise in the intelligence quotient and overall vitality slash well being of the sentient system; a noble endeavor for the individual in favor of macrocosmic preservation.

Rating: Summary: LON MILO DUQUETTE says "THE REAL THING" Review: For those of us who spend a great deal of our time with our noses stuck in volumes of quaint and curious lore, this one is a real eye-opener (and without question...a must have). The first thing aspiring magicians are taught, (or should be taught), is that Magick is an art. Unfortunately, it is also the first thing most of them forget. In this marvelous book Mr. Runyon reveals himself to be not merely a theoretical expert, but a true artist - a master of the "art" of Magick. The Book of Solomon's Magick reads pleasantly, as if the author and you were sitting up late in front of a fireplace telling stories. It's easy to forget, however, that these tales of angels and demons are real (or as real as anything that affects our consciousness). The practice of Magick takes knowledge, skill, imagination, emotional stability, and a profound sense of humor. It is obvious from reading The Book of Solomon's Magick that Mr. Runyon possesses all these qualities plus one that, sadly, too few people today enjoy...the heart of a true romantic.--- LON MILO DUQUETTE, author of "The Magick of Thelema" and "My Life With The Spirits"
Rating: Summary: Fascinating and Extremely Useful Review: I found this book (and video) invaluable because for the first time, all the pieces for magickal working are assembled in one place. I have studied magick for about five years now and have found the learning curve, until I bought this book, to be some what frustrating. No where could I find a single source that brought all the conflicting, confused and disparate pieces of information together in one cohesive whole from both the historical tradition and current magickal thinking. Mr. Runyon has obviously done his homework and I am now able to go forward with a coherent magickal system that Works rather than having to reinvent the wheel myself.I have practiced the rituals as outlined by the author and found the results, both of the Angelic Almadel invocations and the Goetic evocations to far exceed my original expectations both in their efficacy and in their deepening of my Understanding. When I first saw this book a while back, I passed it over thinking it was 'just another magick' book. After having cast about fruitlessly for several years, however, I came back to this book, actually read it, and it has made all the difference. There is great richness in this complete system that is revealed through experience, far more than meets the eye.
Rating: Summary: Abigail Review: I have read this book several times. I am Glad to have gotten some insight on Mr. Runyon the man behind the book and find him to be truthful and know's the craft very well. After reading this book I wanted to meet this man and teacher. I had the grate privledge to meet the man in person, question him and see some of the Items mention in this book. This is not a book of fiction, it is truley a useful tool. There is nothing in the book that is not pratice by the man himself. I my self have built my own items just like the ones discribe in Mr Ruyon's book. I have read many of the book's recomended by Mr. Runyon and other writers, how ever when there is something I do not understand the Book of Solomon's Magick clears things up because it is so easy to understand. I fee the Book is just basic in a way and that is all that is needed. It is nice to think the grass is greener on the other side, but after reading many other books on magick I could have saved some money, not because the book were bad or hard to understand, but because The Book Of Solomon's Magick was all I realy needed to get started. I have found what I was looking for and if you apply the teachings from this book You won't come away empty handed.
Get the DVD'S to go with the book and you will have your own Academy Of Magick right in your own home. Best wishes to all
Rating: Summary: As straight forward as magick books get, EVER! Review: If this book is one thing, it's wonderfully unambiguous.
You will find methods for working the Lemegeton and actually getting your evocations to work.
You will find patterns for building your own proper temple in which you may speak with the old gods. I was able to build everything I needed with hand tools and materials I could get at a building supply store. There isn't any need for black rooster's blood, or even golden yesodic knife handles or any other such nonsense.
And yes, I can assure you that it works, and works well. I was able to speak with Baal within a week of reading this book.
Additionally, the trance methods are applicable to all kinds of magick, from a Crowley-ish set of psychodramas to an A.O. Spare sigil. And they give you some cool sex magick that also works. Actually, the sex magick that thabion teaches is a very useful tool, don't let the fact that it only takes up a tiny bit of the book fool you.
Rating: Summary: BEST MANUAL ON GOETIC MAGICK! Review: If you are interested in LEARNING HOW TO PERFORM goetic evocations this is the book for you. It goes nicely together with the Goetia published by Weiser and edited by Fr. Hymenaeus Beta. This is the BEST book on HOW TO PERFORM Goetic magick I have ever read!!!
