Summary: Earth Angels: A Pocket Guide...
Review: This is a wonderful little book for booklovers and Doreen Virtue fans. It contains an amazing amount of information. If you are intrigued by the title, you'll love the book. If you haven't read Doreen Virtue, you'll want to read more of her works.

Summary: Earth Angels
Review: This is honestly, one of the BEST books I have ever owned. I have already loaned it to two people, who are buying, referring, or giving this book as gifts. It is small, easy to understand and read, and the BEST part is the true/false quiz to help you understand where you fit in as a Lightworker. It is just awesome. I feel empowered, and grateful. In fact, I am going to pick up my copy from my friend this afternoon, because I want it back right now.

Summary: Skip this one, angelphiles...
Review: This isn't one of Doreen's best, as evidenced by the quasi-apology for writing it that she puts in the Forward.
The basic idea is that MOST of us are spirits in the material world, but SOME, a select special few (she never says how many), are Earth Angels: spirits who haven't reincarnated here repeatedly, but instead had their past lives on other planets, or were powerful wizards once, or special enlightened beings previously. It's written carefully so as not to poo-poo anyone's delusions of grandieur on the point, of course. For instance, there's a quiz to see if you may be an Earth Angel. If you score right, then you are. If you score wrong, you still may be, just a "dabbler" or an Earth Angel in transition.
Perhaps it's all so. Who really knows? But to me, it smacks of the same preciousness that used to typify the reincarnation debate: "I have lived before." "You have?" "Yes. I was Cleopatra." "You were? What a coincidence! Because I was Marc Anthony!" ie, everybody is somebody famous from the past. And apparently, everybody with a bruised, swollen ego is an Earth Angel.
So, if you feel like you never fit in anywhere, and that you've always suspected you have some deep, untapped power, well...You may be an Earth Angel!
The book is chock-full of self-serving quotes of the many california moonshine swilling "special" folk who believe they're star-angel mermaids or incarnated cat spirits.
If that kind of thing is what floats your boat, then buy this tiny little book. (a pamphlet's worth of material when you cut out the filler) If not, Doreen's Angel Therapy or Divine Guidance (my fave) is a better buy.

Summary: Nominated as Spirituality Book of the Year!
Review: This phenomenal, groundbreaking book was nominated as Spirituality Book of the Year in the 2003 Kindred Spirit Awards, in the category of spiritual books. Kindred Spirit is the UK's leading spirituality magazine.

This is an excellent book for people who are interested in spirituality and have a sense of being "different" in some way. Dr. Doreen Virtue outlines 5 different types of "earth angels" and includes information on how to know if YOU are an "earth angel." The book also contains helpful guidance for you if you identify with one or more of the earth angel groups. If you enjoyed reading Doreen's book "Healing with the Angels," you are sure to enjoy this book as well. There are interesting anecdotes from people who relate to being an earth angel, as well as key physical characterisitics for recognizing other earth angels on our planet.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book- it contains fascinating and helpful information for many people on a spiritual path. It is particularly helpful to people who may have a sense of not "fitting in," as it explores why earth angels feel this way. If you feel drawn to this book, you will most likely learn something new about yourself in the course of reading it.

Summary: I am spirit, you are spirit ...
Review: Where shall I begin? From spiritual perspective NONE of us is from the physical realm and ALL of us have a PURPOSE, and a place in this world. This book is apparently attended to help people who don't know yet what to do with themselves or their lives to discover it - but it's written more in a way to provide explanations or it seems at times - excuses - for why your life doesn't seem to be working or where did you get all those personality quirks (You know what? EVERYONE has them). Based on the description of your individual quirks and interests, when you read the descriptions of these categories - some of which are rather generic and written in the style of newspaper astrological column - you may get an uncanny feeling - you're from another planet or another dimension of experience. Great - so what? Now, perhaps you'll feel you belong somewhere or maybe it flashes across your mind that you are a creative being and that you have come to this planet to create something beautiful and meaningful and that there's more to you then you considered before. If you've been repeatedly told your entire life that you're "strange" and "different", and things like "do you know that 99% of people on this planet do not think like you do", and you discover that the descriptions from one or more categories in this book actually fit you rather well (even perfectly), you will get that sense of comfort, even inner satisfaction that by some other standards (uncommon among the people you are surrounded by in your daily life) you're not all that weird after all and that there may be some good and useful reason why you are the way you are. If it brings you a sense of greater peace and it inspires you to develop and express your innate talents and abilities and to do something constructive with your life, to follow your heart and be of service to others, then I suppose this book has fulfilled its purpose for you.

In any event, whatever you may consider to be your origin, you are HERE NOW - to learn, to grow, to express your talents and abilities in a way that is of benefit to you and to others. Whatever our individual backgrounds and interests, we are all here to share our talents and abilities and to grow in spiritual understanding, to overcome personal limitations and develop the ability to love. In that respect, wherever you may have come from - in time and space (it's all an illusion, a dream anyway - spiritually speaking) won't be any more helpful than discovering you were Queen of Sheba in a past life. (So what if you were?)

Discovering the meaning and the purpose of one's life, and discovering inner peace, comes from looking deep inside of one's heart, from awareness of one's spiritual nature and from living one's daily life from spiritual perspective. And to that end, I have found working with A Course in Miracles way more useful than doing the quiz in this book and saying - oh, cool, I'm a "star person" (short of visiting UFO conventions in which I never had any interest, every single "attribute" of a "star person" listed in this book fit me) or a "wizard" (and well, sure I always had an ability to create whatever I desired in my life with ease and by intending it - but then again it is an attribute that all of us share - some of us are merely more aware of it than others and some had more practice than others - trust me, whatever your origin and make up: all of your thoughts are creative), or ... wait a second - I could be both - ok - I could be anything because I create my reality - as A Course in Miracles would say "I invented the reality I see."

Summary: Helping to understand
Review: While I have studied under Doreen and was a contributer to this book (page 17) I know this book will assist in defining who we are. As an Angel Messenger/Psychic it is important that we have a basis for what we feel is our essence. I think this book by Doreen certainly helps in that determination. I highly recommend it and will use it in my practice...
