Summary: An "OK" attempt at irreverence and offense.
Review: "How to Spot a Bastard by his Star Sign" DOES contain some cute, below the belt mini-jabs clothed in a kind of superficial, slap-stick kind of wit. Too, the book has potential for "mass appeal"..........you'd think among women, who generally take astrology more seriously than men do. But humor aside, the book is not only a gross over-simplification but an INACCURATE one. This fact alone make it more appealing TO MEN, than to MOST women!!!!!!! But regardless of who reads it, male or female, asto-educated or not, it will fail to do anything except amuse.
The writers' verbal darts in truth haven't the fire power to break the skin of the most thin-skinned readers. The book lacks real perception of what makes people tick. For example, no mention of the fact that Scorpio's so-called "strengths" are the result of fear, paranoia and terror is ever made. The book lamely and inaccurately attempts to associate virgo with socio-pathology(serial-killers) when IN FACT this subject has been researched statistically and sagittarius/capricorn are most often seen here, not virgo. Never do they mention the narsicism or omnipotent ego of the pisces, DELIBERATELY hidden so that no one can openly or confidently question or challenge their aims! Pisces is the MOST confident sign of the zodiac but these authors have been fooled by their submissive act like every one else.

Summary: SOOO Much Fun !!!
Review: I just got this book in the mail today at work and started reading it. Oh, my God, the authors are SO right-on when they describe the different "bastard" personalities under each star sign !!! I should know--I've gone out with more "bastards" than I care to admit. The content is so hilarious that it almost made me fall out of my chair in my cubicle at work. I couldn't help laughing out loud ! If you've ever wondered why your boyfriend/ husband/ ex behave the way they do, read this book. If this book doesn't make you understand them any better, at least you will have a good laugh.

Summary: The Survival Manual
Review: As I am a happily married man it is extremely rare that I need to spot a .... However, I recently gave this book to Turner, a gay friend of mine, who has since succesfully avoided several potential ...approaches and now refers to the book as his indispensable 'survival manual'.

Summary: Bill Bryson does Astrology
Review: This book is hilarious in a Bill Bryson meets Cosmopolitan / Marie Claire magazine kind of way. Looking for a book to take on your next long haul flight or beach holiday? This is the one. I got this book for Xmas & read it all the way home. If you or a friend has just been dumped or are about to dump your man give them this book - it will definitely make you / them laugh. Enjoy!

Summary: Invaluable
Review: Does anyone remember the "Observer" series from when you were little (Observer's book of Birds/Cars/Mushrooms etc)?
This is very similar but works in reverse: find out your subject's species (aka starsign) then discover more about his habitat, behavioural flaws, physical imperfections and,(occasionally) redeeming features....

Seriously, I bought this book for a girls night in and we were all surprised at how accuratley it describes the majority of the bastards we've we "spotted".....why wasn't it around 10 years ago?

An invaluable handbag size guide no girl should be without.

Summary: Brightens Up any Dinner Party
Review: I recently took this book to a family lunch and was amazed just how much fun we all had reading out the relevant sections to the men present. Remember, if men can't laugh at themselves, stay away. How to Spot a Bastard definitely works. Buy it and use it today.

Summary: Reformed astrological cynic
Review: OK I'm convinced, the stars reveal all.
How to Spot a Bastard by his Star Sign is an accurate reference for the men in my life not to mention an amusing read. Even my beloved Scorpio Bastard had a good laugh!
It's fresh and it's fun and a perfect book to have lying around for people to pick up and read for 10 minutes of entertainment.

Summary: How to spot a bastard
Review: Great fun! this is how astrology should be. There's a lot of truth here, between the laughs. I'm not one for sequels but How to spot a Bastard should be worth a couple. Maybe Russell Grant will leap to our (mens) defence, but somehow I doubt it.

Summary: Read this!
Review: Have you ever read one of those self-help books that promise to improve your love life? That takes you by the hand on a journey to a better understanding of yourself and the opposite sex? And all your relationship / lack of a relationship problems will be solved just by the simple act of reading a book? Well, this isn't one of those books. But it's very funny! Read and enjoy.
