Once you can see what is so important to you that it will ultimately make or break a relationship, the rest is pretty easy. Read it. Think about it. Second dates with people who couldn't possibly be "the one" will no longer be necessary. This was the book that made the difference for me. I give it an A+.

And, because of that this book is important because we need to be reminded of them, and further look into ourselves in how we feel about these subjects. We have to know ourselves. In addition to the many topics listed, the MMPI test Warren recommended shows he's spent a lot of time in his profession. Very refreshing book that is for single and married people as well. This book can add some reality-based criteria that one should consider to keep our feet on the ground because at times, we put these criteria on the back-burner, which means paying later.

Review: I am a military chaplain. One of the questions I face comes in the area of relationships. People looking around for the right one. I have suggested this book numerous times to others. It worked for me. I would highly recommend it for someone recouping after a bad relationship before going back or to another relationship.

Review: I have to admit I thought the book would be totally cheesy, but wow was I wrong. The book is set up to be interactive. You read a chapter and before you move on, there are exercises to complete. On one level his point is that in order for you to know whether or not someone is worth pursuing, you must understand yourself. He asks questions like- Who can make you angrier than any other person and why? On another level this book is really about understanding how God has made each of us unique in His own image. There are helpful tips for asking the right questions when you are on a date, but the basic principles go much deeper than relating to the opposite sex, the bottom line is healthy relationships resulting from a solid understanding of who we are in Christ. I have found the insights helpful in identifying issues with my parents and friends as well as my dating relationships.

Review: My new "friend" and I sat at the beach this weekend and went over our 20 questions and both of the top 10 lists. We laughed and cried and shared with each other. It is a great learning tool not only for yourself, but in getting to know the person you are dating. If anyone thinks this is stupid, you are wrong. It will only help you grow in your relationship, and if the guy or girl you are dating isn't willing to read this and do the questions, that should really tell you something about them.

We study all our lives in school how to be successful in business and finance, but never study up how to have successful relationships. Review: Thanks to NC Warren, for the first time in my 42 years (through one marriage and three love relationships since then) I know how to go about selecting a compatible mate rather than just randomly going with whoever seems attractive. Knowing yourself well and listing the 10 "must haves" and "can't stands" are major keys.
