Rating: Summary: Jude and Aidan. A great couple. Review: This book has it all; mystery, romance, danger. Well, not so much danger. It does have two very cool leading characters and a cast of people you'll become truly enchanted with. Nora Roberts keeps getting better and better.
Rating: Summary: A solid story full of romance and legend. Review: I thought this was a great story. It started out a little slow, but once it got going, it was very hard to put down. The characters are likeable and believable. I look forward to the rest of the trilogy.
Rating: Summary: Another direct hit from Nora Review: Another wonderful story from Nora, and a fantastic beginning for the new trilogy. I can't wait to see what Brenna & Shawn do in the next one. This one had a lot of the magic you expect from Nora's work, and the additional benefit of a magical theme - ghosts and a fairies and all sorts of mystical things. The backdrop of Ireland is fantastical, and the characterization is compelling. I find myself hoping for another "girls night in" or something similar in the next book. In short, I loved the book.
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts & Ireland = Great Book Review: Nora Roberts takes us to Ireland again and you'll have a great time. This book is the first in her newest trilogy and I'm really looking forward to the next 2 installments. The heroine is uncertain and is trying to figure out what she wants/needs in her life. We even get a couple of Irish folk tales thrown in, and if they're not authentic ones they certainly sound good.
Rating: Summary: This was a great book! Review: I love all of Nora Roberts' books. This book had a great love story with the added Irish legends. I loved her last series done in Ireland and this book was another great read. Aidan was such a loveable character. I can't wait for the next book to comoe out! I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Sweet, but something's lacking... Review: This is the first of the new Irish trilogy for me. I stayed with the book, but it really didn't turn me on until the end. I think the part I enjoyed the most was when Jude makes up her mind to sell her condo in Chicago and make the permanent move to Ireland. Jude's decision that writing is what she wanted to do really showed the inspiration of a true artist. The romance wasn't what I expected, although I don't know what it was I really expected either. It just seems that I've read too many of NR's stories lately where the heroine is not "sure of herself" and sets out to find the real person inside. This is not one of the better books with Nora Roberts indicated as the author. It's a quick read, which is not the norm for NR either. Catch it at the library if you're a real NR fan.
Rating: Summary: A little magic - A lot of love Review: The first in a trilogy, Jewels of the Sun, brings us Jude Murray retreating to a cottage in Ireland to soothe her wounds after a divorce. Meeting Aidan Gallagher shakes her out of her narrow view of life while Jude explores the folklore of the ghost she finds in the cottage.
A well written story of a woman's discovery of her depths and overcoming feelings of inadequacy. Includes some great scenes of women bonding over shopping and stories shared over a drinking spree. Lovely seductions, great descriptions of Ireland and a wonderful cast of people.
Do give it a read.
Rating: Summary: Enchanting... Review: Nora Roberts is simply the best. This was a lovely and memorable story and the characters were fantastic. This author writes SO many wonderful books, it's amazing how she keeps things fresh and original. No one does it better.
Rating: Summary: The first of a good series Review: Starting off brilliantly, this book does manage to get bogged down in typical romantic stereotypes. However, it is well written, moves at an easy pace, and is enjoyable to the end. Up there with Nora's best attempts, and easily recommended.
Rating: Summary: Irish Eyes are Smilin' :) Review: I've had this book on my bookshelves for a couple of months (in the never ending TBR pile). For some reason, it kept getting passed over. Then I finally picked it up one day last week, and once I opened it, I couldn't put it down! This book combines a perfect blend of contemporary romance with old Irish lore, and it's a wonderful mix of both. Jude is wonderfully human with a neurotic tendency (to which I can COMPLETELY relate!) and Aidan, well, Aidan is just a dream come true! More than anything, I love how it hints at no matter how real life can get, you always need a little Irish magic. :) On to the 2nd book!!! :)
