Rating: Summary: Very difficult to read Review: I could not get into the storyline because of the colorful language that has been gradually increasing in each book. I am realistic in knowing that some must be used because of the characters profession as a police officer and the circumstances in which she finds herself; however, in Loyalty in Death, I feel that the colorful language was used excessively. I really enjoy this series but I was unable to read this book and feel comfortable or good about it. I hope that she will tone down the language and focus more attention to the characters' developments.
Rating: Summary: NOT AS GOOD AS THE OTHRRS Review: DID THE SAME PERRSON THAT WROTE THE OTHERS BOOKS WRITE THIS BOOK ? IT WAS REALLY HARD FOR ME TO KEEP READING THIS BOOK. WITH THE OTHER I DID NOT HAS THIS PROBLEM . HOPE THAT THE NEXT BOOK IN THIS SERIAL IS MUCH BETTER.
Rating: Summary: IN DEATH is getting a tad predictable... Review: CONSPIRACY IN DEATH featured the obligatory story about a detective in a fight to keep her badge; LOYALTY IN DEATH features the obligatory visit to the Statue of Liberty for novels set in New York City. What's next? Will one of her faithful sidekicks (Peabody, Feeney, McNab) go rogue on Eve? Will she start to suspect that Roarke is having an affair? Will Summerset be the one who does it?That said, LOYALTY IN DEATH was certainly a wonderful read. It was tight and suspenseful and for once I didn't predict the ending before Ms. Robb revealed it. Please keep writing the IN DEATH series, J. D.; just don't follow the formula too closely. Unpredictability is fun! (And before you retire Eve -- which unfortunately has to happen some day -- please let us see her and Roarke with children! I'd love to see rough, tough Eve pregnant.)
Rating: Summary: A J.D. Robb book is always good. Review: I am never let down when I read a J.D. Robb book. This one was just as good, if not better than the others in the In Death series. If you all looking on Nora's web page, you'll see that this is not the last book of the series. Thank god.
Rating: Summary: Not Ms. Robb's best Review: Who wrote this for Ms. Robb? I am a loyal fan of all Nora Roberts books, but this one is not up to her usual standard. It didn't sound like her at all. And where was the lead in to her next book, I'm concerned is the last in the Eve Dallas series? I hope not. I will continue to read anything Ms. Roberts writes I look forward to her next book.
Rating: Summary: Another great Eve Dallas story Review: I don't know how she does it; I'm just glad she does. If you're a fan of strong women you'll like the In Death series of books. The relationship between Eve and Peabody just gets better (think Xena and Gabrielle). Don't fear - there is at least one more (Witness in Death sometime next spring/early summer). Amazon has a great interview with Nora about Eve which leads me to think there will be plenty more.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful! Review: After reading these reviews,I'm upset to realize this series may have ended or is ending in the next upcoming books. How can you mess with such a winner! I hope this series continues, it definitely gives competition to all mystery writers. The In Death books are captivating, and I hope successful financially for the author and publishing house. Looking forward to the next one!
Rating: Summary: THE NEXT TWO BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: For all those who were sad, rejoice. The next two books are Witness in Death coming out in March 2000 and Judgement In Death in October 2000.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK, THE BEST YET! I CANT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT TWO Review: Loyalty in Death is the best book so far in the In Death series, and that's saying a lot. The whole series of books is one of the best I've read in a long time (And I read a lot). This book has everything, my favorites are the glimpses of Eve's past, Eve and Roarke's closer relationship, and the romance between Peabody and ?(read the book to find out). The action kept me turning the pages, and now I'm already reading it again. This whole series has given me many hours of enjoyment. I reccomend it to anybody who enjoys good books.
Rating: Summary: Excellent as always J.D. Review: As always J.D. Robb's books are fabulous. I started reading the series and now I wait impatiently for the next one to come out. All women need a Roarke.
