Summary: Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
Review: I'm hooked on this author. This is one of those rare books that just makes you feel good all over. Morgan is SO wonderful. I just can't get enough of him. If you like humorous, sexy books, then you have to try this one. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Delightfully witty
Review: Kinley MacGregor is a spirited new voice in adventure romance. The delightfully witty repartee between Serenity and Morgan will bring a smile to your lips; their sexual tension and adventures will keep you glued to the page. Keep your eye on Ms. MacGregor.

Summary: One of the decade's best!
Review: This is truly one of the best books I have ever read. Serenity is a breath of fresh air and Morgan is one of those heroes who just leaps off the pages. The only thing I hated was finishing it. I hope we see a lot more of this author. I don't think I've ever laughed harder than I did in this book. Well done!

Summary: Highly Entertaining
Review: A quick fun read filled with laugh out loud humor. Serenity James wanted adventure, but never expected to get it. When her dream "pirate" walks through the door of her father's office, she's sure it's a practical joke being played.

Morgan Drake wishes it were a joke being played when he finds the intrepid Ms. James on board his ship. Forced together by circumstance, these two are a delight! The light-hearted bantering is reminiscent of Teresa Medieros or Julia Quinn, the characters funny and well-drawn with a sense of action and place that is purely MacGregor.

Though I like Master of Seduction better, this book is still absolutely charming.

Summary: Romance on the high seas
Review: Set in 1793 Savannah, Georgia. Serenity James works as an editor for her father's newspaper. Ocasionally she is allowed to publish an article or two. Her imagination lets her run wild when she writes an article about the infamous Sea Wolf, an American pirate who captures British naval ships and frees the impressed American sailors. Serenity's article has turned the Sea Wolf into a hero.

Serenity has always wanted a hero of her own and adventure in her life. She can only daydream of this until one day, unknowingly to her, Morgan Drake, the Sea Wold himself walks into her office and confronts her about the article she wrote about him. He is none too impressed that his identity is almost revealed. To stop Serenity revealing more secrets about the Sea Wolf she is kidnapped and sets sail on an adventure of her life aboard Morgan's ship.

As Serenity sails in Morgan's ship, sparks start to fly and a sparring match is commenced between the infamous Sea Wolf and the nosey beauty. As the days go past they find themselves falling for one another but Serenity fiercely guards her heart for she knows that Morgan will never give up his one love: sailing on the high seas.

This was a fun read, watching Serenity and Morgan's war of words. However, I thought that there lacked a chemistry between the two protagonists. The sexual tension did not sizzle. A good and entertaining read nonetheless.

Summary: Romance
Review: This was actually the first Romance novel I have read since I was 14. (It's been six years.) It was very well written and I was pleasantly surprised to discover I enjoyed the story. It's a great escape novel, the author is well researched and witty. A great book to start reading romance.

Summary: Wishing for a bit more
Review: I liked the book but felt a bit cheated at the end. The story was a definite 4 stars until the very end where the author tied things up too quickly. Within a chapter we are told about Morgan's search, Serenity's secret and then it's all tied up in a bow...the end. I would have liked to have had more with Jake and Lorelei roles, Serenity facing her family and Morgan's "homecoming" strung out for a bit. Good beginning and middle with a too much too soon ending.

Summary: Very nicely done.
Review: All her life, Serenity James wanted to be something more than just what was expected of a woman in the late 1700's colonial America. She wanted adventure and so using her imagination she penned stories to run in her father's newspaper. Unfortunately, it came about that one of the stories she had written of the dreaded pirate - the Sea Wolf came too close to the truth.

Morgan Drake was the Sea Wolf - and a lot of other names fit as well - and he was going to find out from this S.S. James just where `he' got his information from to have written this story. Of course, the only information he got was the truth that one, S.S. James was a woman, and two, she really didn't know who the Sea Wolf was. But of course, she being highly intelligent - she surmised from his anger over the story that he, Morgan Drake, was the pirate and she would get the story of her life if she could just get him to agree to an interview. Well, on her way to beard the lion in his den - so to speak - Serenity is abducted by a friend of Morgan's who determined that she knew too much. One thing led to another, and they set sail with Serenity as the hostage.

This was a cute story, with several amusing moments between two very stubborn people. Morgan and Serenity were both smitten with one another but too stubborn to admit to it so they fought instead with some hilarious dialogs. I consider this more of an amusing `light' read to pass an afternoon, nothing that would keep me in suspense to stay up at night. What could have made this story more meaty would have been for the author to have delved more into the background of the main characters which would have given this book more of an emotional punch rather than the gloss over of some very turbulent childhoods that would have 'really' been interesting. All in all, it was a good story and well worth your time to read it.

Summary: An enjoyable read
Review: I found this to be an exciting and delightful book. I had a few laughs and really enjoyed the story. I would recommend this to anyone who likes adventure and romance.
