Rating: Summary: Breaking the reader's dream Review: Dream Man was the first book of Linda Howard's that I've read. I was mostly swept up in the drama. Marlie and Dane were likable characters and I'm a sucker for psychic and paranormal romances/mysteries. However . . . My main complaints regarding this book arose as the climax unfolded and logic seemed to fly out the window. Once Marlie's participation in the police investigation was announced, any intelligence the book had or its powers to maintain "the reader's dream" dissolved. I couldn't believe that no one on the police force would have forced her to remain home from work. Why plant a decoy when the real live woman participated in routine activities? I couldn't believe that no one in the FBI or the Orlando Police Dept. had never heard of Carroll O'Connor and therefore would know that Carroll could be a man's name not to mention the fact that a computer would have brought up a comparative list that, for some reason, police officers were doing manually. While the writing was good and the plot basically sound, I felt the ending just hadn't been thought through, as if it were simply good enough to have the hero and heroine together and the reader shouldn't expect more.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Review: This was the first book I've read that entailed psychic/paranormal phenomena and it totally got me hooked! This book has totally scared the **** out of me when I first read it. I thought the scenes between Dane and Marlie were awesome and totally hot! Their fire burns the pages. I've had this book for a few years and I still read it 4-5 times a year. It's that good!
Rating: Summary: A fantastic, sexy, spooky read.... Review: "Dream Man" was fabulous. It was fast paced and gripping. I was home alone the night I read it and it literally had me spooked. I loved Dane..even when I hated him. Marlie was enjoyable as well, but not quite as well fleshed out. My main reason for not giving this book 5 stars was that I felt there was a distinct lack of emotion in the relationship between the h/h. It WAS there, but it focused more on their sexual attractions than anything else. Still..... I cant complain. Linda Howard is a new author for me. This was only my second book from her. Needless to say...it WONT be my last!
Rating: Summary: One of her best.. Review: After my sister introduced me to Linda Howard, I haven't been disappointed yet. I absolutely loved Dream Man.. although there wasn't a lot of suspense, I didn't want to put down the book. Get it, you won't be disappointed!!
Rating: Summary: Linda Howard can do no wrong Review: Linda Howard has once again worked her way up my list of favorite authors. With Dream Man, she scores--the plot is interesting, the sexual chemistry translates VERY well, the characters are easy to get a bead on, and the writing is SUPERIOR. I've read Mr. Perfect, Strangers in the Night, and Kill and Tell, and I keep coming back for more. Ms. Howard, don't stop now, you're on a roll. This is one title you will revisit--make it part of your collection.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF MY FAVORITE READS!!! Review: IM NOT GONNA GET INTO MUCH OF THE BOOK BUT I WANTED TO SAY THAT THIS WAS THE BEST LINDA HOWARD BOOK IVE READ SO FAR. THE CHARACTERS ARE WONDERFUL AND REAL, THE PLOT IS EXCEPTIONAL AND THE LOVE SCENES ARE PLENTIFUL AND HOTT!!! I HAD TO GET A COLD DRINK AFTER READING SOME OF THE LOVE SCENES IN THIS BOOK. THE MALE CHARACTER IS STRONG AND HANDSOME AND THE HEROINE IS COOL AND CHARMING. I HONESTLY THINK THEY CAN MAKE A MOVIE OF THE WEEK WITH THIS BOOK..I WANNA SEE IT LIVE AND IN COLOR....YOU MUST PUT THIS ON YOUR SHELF..YOU WILL READ IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS IF IT WERE YOUR FIRST TIME.
Rating: Summary: Do you believe in empathy? Review: This is the second book of Linda Howard that I read, it was better the other book (Mr. Perfect) but this one is not bad at all, you will laugh when you read it (it has some internal jokes) and you will have a good time reading it. At the end of the book I have my questions, if Marlie was so angry with Dane, how he convinced to go to bed? The epilogue is [not good], but you will laugh when you will read it. This book is not a page turner but it will keep you interested in the story.
Rating: Summary: Truly Romantic Review: Linda Howard is one of my favorite authors since discovery of Romantic novels. This is by far my all time favorite. Living with Marlie and Dane throughout this book is just a delight. Dane is one of those characters that you look for when walking down the street, at a gathering, or just meeting. For Marile to have the good fortune having Dane in her life is very exciting. Marlie physic powers are second to none. Linda, put us through an exciting path of ups and downs where you can't put the book down. I must say I've read this book several times and I still get excited reading it. Try it and I bet you'll love it.
Rating: Summary: A Great LH Story! Review: This is one of my favorites by this author. It combines suspense, romance, and the paranormal and the final result is a page turning story. Although you know who the bad person is early on in the story it is still suspenseful as you watch Dane and his partner with the help of Marlie track down the killer before he kills again. Don't be put off by the paranormal aspect of the story. You don't have to be a full believer to see it work in the story. Marlie is a great heroine and a perfect foil for Dane. She brings out his protective instincts and at the same time stands strong on her own. The chemistry between these two is incredible and easily believable. This is a great addition to any personal library.
Rating: Summary: Exciting Review: All of Linda Howard's books are great. She mixes enough mystery to keep me wondering who done it or who's going to get it, and lot's of passion between her main character's to keep it hot.
