Summary: Interesting, but not the best
Review: Sorry if I don't agree with everyone else on this book. Maybe it is because I am not into sports. This book had too much football in it for me to be totally absorbed by the story. Now, SEP can really write, but this wouldn't be on my list of top 10 favorites.

Summary: I laughed out loud.
Review: If you love Linda Howard, you'll love this author

Summary: Spectacularly Funny, Great Characters and Plot
Review: This was my first SEP book. I'm hooked. Today I went out bought all of her books in print.

Rarely do you read books where the characters are so wonderfully crafted. Characters you want to embrace. She doesn't force feed you, but drops wonderful samples for the readers throughout the whole book. Great timing and storytelling.

How wonderful to see a female lead using her sexuality is such a savvy way. The story is full of information on football, but it doesn't overpower you.

Some of the scenes were wicked in the most wonderful ways. I love this feeling of discovering another favorite author.

Any book which makes me laugh out loud is a keeper.

Summary: Explosively sexy!!!
Review: I often wonder if there are really any "Dan's" out there. This book was explosive and had an excellent storyline. Phoebe was an awesome character and she had the spark I like to see in the part. This is an absolute must read. I could not put it down.

Summary: My all-time favorite!
Review: I use this book as an 'ambassador of romance', giving copies to friends to introduce them to what great romance books are all about. I just adore it and Susan Elizabeth Phillips' other fantastic novels.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A touchdown!
Review: This is one of the best romances I have ever read. I am sure men like our dear coach don't exist and women like that don't exist and people do not have such explosive sex. But it felt great to see someone in print have all that.

Thanks for writing this book, it was a pleasure to read!

Summary: Awesome Read! Fabulous Chemistry!!!
Review: Susan Elizabeth Phillips has outdone herself. The chemistry between Phoebe and Dan Calebow is so strong you actually feel like you are in the room with them. I couldn't put it down until I finished it and then I didn't want it to end. This book is a definite keeper; one that I will certainly read again and again. It is uplifting to know that we have authors of this caliber to keep us entertained. I'm looking forward to many more exciting weekends of reading Susan Elizabeth Phillips.....

Summary: Susan Elizabeth Phillips at her best!
Review: This book is the one of the best ones I have read from her. The story line revolves around Phoebe Somerville inheriting a losing football team. The main characters in the book, Phoebe and Dan Calebrow were two people searching for the same thing -- LOVE. They were each attracted to one another on first sight. Both were rejected by their parents during their childhoods. Dan having been abused by his father and unloved by his mother. Phoebe, on the other hand, had grown up knowing that her father never really accepted her and didn't love her either. Her mother had died when Phoebe was young so she never really knew a mother's love. Along with the football team Phoebe also inherits 15 yr. old Molly, her half sister. Molly/Phoebe didn't get along but learned to love one another as the story progressed. I felt the story line was great and kept my attention all the way to the last page. I wished the story didn't end. The epilogue was the best...I found myself laughing, crying, sighing, smiling! I wish the world had more books like this!

Summary: awesome read
Review: A fantastic book, with humorous characters. Just the very book you would want for company on a cold, lonely night. Engaging, funny and sad... just like all the author's other books, but arguably one of the ebst ones. Highly recommended.
